Color Difference
I bought this same product 2 years ago. Wanted to add it to another room in house and when I was almost finished the color was noticeably lighter than the first floor, I installed 2 years earlier.

The product is good & easy to install. The problem I had was with the service. I had ordered 12 boxes & I received 12 boxes except that 3 of those boxes were of a different style & sizes. Needless to say my project was put on hold until I could get the rest of my order which I felt that was dragged out way to long considering the situation. So much for getting it done as they like to say at Home Depot.

The flooring was easy to install and looks great. The only negative was that approximately 1/4 of the contents of each box is made up of the shorter length boards, and these tended to be a different color shade than the full length boards. This made them difficult to work in, and we ended up with a lot of short boards left over. Fortunately, the staff at Home Depot was very understanding, and we were able to return a full box containing only short boards.

Purchased this product in 2015, a year later in two areas the surface finish started to disappear, living patches of unprotected wood. HomeDepot initially denied this to be a warranty claim, based on images I shared, they never visiting our house. After confronting the store manager, he promised to have someone visiting our residence, but this never happened. When I call, I get the response: we are sending someone soon. Obviously HomeDepot does not stand to their products.

Easy to work with and looks great! The coordinating trim pieces finish off the job well and are very reasonably priced. The material is very consistent and positively locks together. Color on the 1220 square feet that I installed was uniform and consistent. Durable product that will provide years of service- made a big difference in the look of our home.

      Easy installation and great value
This is the 7th floating floor I have installed over 15 years. Engineered floor have improved over this time period. This is a good choice (3/8") because it has a thicker top veneer and could be repaired (sanded) if needed. The installation needs basic DIYer tools. I usually use the cheapest underlayment, but if your budget can stand it, upgrade to a 3-1 underlayment. It goes down easier and gives the floor a more solid feeling. I put together a generic how to that can be used and answers a lot of questions. click on: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_bVeq7Czgw9TXk5Tk9NeXdUODg/view?usp=sharing

Really happy with the appearance of this floor.
This is a great floor solution. Looks great and is easy to install. I decided to lay the floor on the diagonal, which is a lot more work and you use more flooring, but it resulted in a unique look. Very happy to recommend this product.

Replaced horrible laminate with this product and the flooring gave the entire house a much warmer appearance.THE hand scraped look was a nice departure from the typical flooring, more character.

        Great flooring! Easy to install.
Super easy to work with. Just watch the joints so they are random. Really tough finish. Did downstairs and master bedroom in 2012. Finished upstairs last November. Ordered one more carton for a future utility room.

Amazing quality at an affordable price!!
We have never installed wood flooring before, and had no idea if we would be able to do it all ourselves. This flooring removed all doubt. It is so forgiving of errors, and any piece can be removed and replaced during installation without any trouble. The boards are incredible, as there are distressed markings, scrapes, etc., which lend to the richness of each individual plank. Once down, this flooring proves amazingly rich in texture, soft under bare feet, not slippery, and most of all warm in the winter and cool in the summer! Our pets especially love them for these reasons, and seem more happy stretched out on the floor than on the furniture! The surface is extremely scratch-resistant, almost to the point of impossible to damage! Our big Ragdoll cats chase one another across the entire home, and there are no scratches to be found (even though we hear and watch them scraping and sliding from room to room). This flooring is SO superior to laminate in that you can "stand" on this wood for hours (if you had to) without any stress, strain or pain to your feet or legs. Laminate is not kind to feet (too thin), and does not embrace standing for any period of time. Real wood is simply too much trouble and not as durable (our personal opinion). This click and lock engineered wood is absolutely the best buy and value for the money. It appears to be a much more expensive flooring than the price we paid. It never moves or makes any sound. We purchased the top padding which is recommended for this flooring. The top-rated padding adds a level of protection between the concrete and the wood. I LOVE the way this flooring looks against all other woods in our home, including white cabinets in the kitchen. It's incredibly luxurious and rich-looking too!! You just can't beat this flooring for the price. The quality would cost four times this much at any other retailer.

        Excellent
Installed about 750 sq.ft. over a year ago. Looks great and and is still in excellent shape. We don't have heavy wear, but there are still no scratches or blemishes. There were only a few damaged pieces and with the multiple lengths in the box there was very little scrap. We planned for 10% overage and had several boxes left over. Our installation had lots of corners and doors and was installed on concrete which was previously carpeted. We had a carpenter help us and I am glad we did: the concrete was uneven so we added a level-cure product to flatten it out, and with all the corners and doors some of the cuts and install were challenging. I would definitely buy this product, or products from the same manufacturer again.

        Beautiful and durable!
I waited seven months to write this review because we have four kids so I wanted to see how it withstood family life and I'm happy to say it still looks as beautiful as the day we finished it! Our house was built in 1996 with all oak trim stained a medium walnut. The trim is still in good condition and at the time I was uber pregnant so I really didn't want to change out trim around windows, this was a fast nesting job to get rid of two more rooms of carpet. This wood had enough variance that it matched our existing trim well. The feel of it is perfect. There's just enough hand scraped to give it the look but it's still easy to sweep and clean. This was our first flooring project and it went well. Laid two rooms in about three half days (laid 3/4 of the first and found a giant spot we failed to level so had to take it back and level the floor. Being a click lock it's incredibly solid and quiet (we just used the cheapest barrier). And there was little waste, boards were straight and locks in good condition. It doesn't show scratches. We have it in our office with a piano and the kids are constantly knocking over the piano bench and there is just one little ding. We love it, it's perfect for our active family. Con: The stair nose and quarter rounds are NOT the same material, they are a cheap veneer. We only had one step for this project so it wasn't a huge deal. I can already see where the color is fading on the stair nose. When we replace it we'll get a hardwood and stain it. But I wouldn't want to use the stock stair noses on a whole flight or stairs.

From Dull to Dynamic - HomeLegends Floors
I have wanted wood floors for years and outside sources have always been too expensive and I thought the process was daunting but, after watching the DIY videos for Home Depot's Home Legends click and lock engineered floors, we did it ourselves. The transformation is amazing! And it was easy. All you need it right there at Home Depot - flooring, Best Underlayment, moulding and thresholds. The overall cost was half the price of professional installers... the results are fabulous.

I'm glad I chose this product.
I was fortunate that I was able to order the first 16 boxes online and have my brother pick them up. We needed 1 more box to complete the 2 rooms we were laying new floor in and my husband was able to pick that last box up. We live in a 200 year old farm house and the existing floors were beyond repair. It continues to be a work in progress and the $$$$ would go far to reach our dreams of finishing this old homestead.

          This floor is a snap!
I am a Systems Engineer, I do not do this for a living. When I tell you it was easy to do I mean my wife can do it, no offense honey. It took me 1.5 days to install this in my lower-level family room (22X16), including removal of the carpet. I installed the same flooring in the bedroom (basement) three years ago. Both rooms look exactly the same. If you came to my home you would have a hard time telling me which one is older.

This product way surpassed all my expectations. The price was reasonable compared to others, the click-lock system was easy to install as a floating floor, and quality is great. The flooring is absolutely beautiful!

          Looks great, easy install
This flooring looks so beautiful in our home (see pic)! The click lock system makes installing easy and my husband did this himself with 2 buddies in 2 (long) days. It feels wonderful to walk on. NOTE: the matching finishing pieces (baseboards, transition pieces, etc.) are VERY expensive.

Almost like solid hardwood even though it's Engineered. Installation was fairly easy, no mess. The hand scraped texture is a nice feature and matte finish does not show off dirt and dust.

Easy to install & looks great
Easy to install. I don't have much experience installing floors but this was a snap. My wife & I installed this in both our kids rooms over 2 weekends. Completely transformed the look of the room. We didn't have a single bad piece in 24 boxes. The product comes with a 55 year residential warranty so we a confident that the room will look great for years to come.

          Excellent!
Quality product! All pieces fit nicely and of uniform size. Beautiful surface. Great finish. One piece had a small blister in the finish, and one box had all full length sticks instead of random, but nothing detrimental to my opinion of the flooring. I'm buying more to do the hallway in addition.

          Beautiful floor
I purchased this flooring for my entire house to replace old carpet. It is installed as a floating floor over a concrete slab. We used the airguard underlayment that the Home Depot Associate recommended. Since we were doing the entire house we payed a contractor to install. It was easy to install and if we were doing a single room or small area would have done the install myself. Bottom line, the flooring looks fantastic!!! I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone. It is quiet, durable, easy to clean and high quality. Looks like a much more expensive floor.
