Very simple to install but the average homeowner may want to consult with a electrician or equivalent before installing.,

Not adjustable
Really nice for new construction. My electrician thought that it was adjustable but it isn't which will make the final ceiling install a bit trickier. But a good product.

Installed when there was no drywall on the walls and ceiling
The drywall was off of the walls and ceiling of the bathroom so these recessed lights were as easy to install as any light fixture can be; just make sure the mounting rails are square to the joists before you nail in place. (Not sure how to install with drywall on the walls and ceiling??) The wires slide into connections easy. Wiring in the wall, from the old dated wall light fixture, was the perfect length to re-route to the new ceiling recessed lights. The recessed lights freed up space on the wall to install a larger bathroom mirror/medicine-chest so we now have more storage and the room looks updated with modern LED lights.

Good product at a fair price
New construction or complete remodel is needed for this to work. I personally like the quick connect option but make sure to push the hard wires in firmly.

Great item. Very easy to install but expensive. Home Depot needs to come with a better price.

Excellent product
I've used this housing for both drywall and suspended ceilings. Straightforward installation for both.
Quality is excellent.

Good solid fixture
Used in a remodel, with open walls and floors. Good mount system, even for an amature .Inside dome will extend downward to adjust for ceiling thickness, but this feature is almost secret, and a puzzle for in-store associates. also, store personel need to realize exactly what bulb to use.

Good can light for specific locations
I lean towards air tight, insulation contact, rated cans on all projects. No bugs entering the fixture from the attic, or ceiling void. No worries about someone blowing in, or covering the fixture, with insulation at a later date. I used this 4" fixture on a commercial job that has limited space on the exterior of the building's soffit. I also prefer a standard screw shell lamp holder, rather than a fluorescent fixture, or LED fixture. No ballast or LED drivers to fail. Add a 4" shower trim for exterior use, and a CFL, and you are set for the life of the building, with no maintenance other than simple lamp changes.

Good but check them out
They are a nice design. Only issue I had wa sI needed to return the first two as the black cable was bent tightly and seemed to show bare wires. so I suggest you open the wire housing and check them to be sure the one you get doe snot have a bare live feed. They are really nice except for that. Easily adjusts across a broad range of bay widths.

What more could you want?
Easy to install - if the ceiling is open, I like the quick connect connectors it came with.

Simple and efficient
Remodeling 60 year old home called for numerous upgrades. Although these were described as "new construction", they are perfect for our needs and were very easy to install. Finished project looks and works terrific.

Affordable recess lights
I purchased 18 sets for my newly constructed outdoor patio. The recess lights are a affordable option. Nicely constructed.
