My son that installed the window said he used another product that worked as well that had a spray attachment included with the can-because the Great Stuff Pro container would’ve had to have a $50. tool that he would’ve had to purchase separately. So I’m actually going to return the Great Stuff Pro

Great Stuff foam pro review NOT seeds I've used the Great Stuff foam for 35 yrs on & off for home uses, I needed some foam to fill around 4 doors and 10 windows in a new addition to my house so I figured I’d try their pro gun setup. First off the can says it should have done the job with mine using 2 cans, but it took 6! Another issue is the foam comes out great for the first 1/2 -3/4 of the can, then it comes out VERY slowly for the last 1/4 of the can costing me time & money watching this foam barely creeping out of the nozzle! When using this system the nozzle which is fatter than their regular plastic tubing, has a hard time fitting in the space around the windows & doors. I used 2x6 framing so they need to offer a longer snout than the little 2.5” one that comes with the #14 gun. It's ok for 2x4's but for 2x6's it doesn't do the job and leaves a space at the far side of the gap. I don't know why it's so much more expensive than their regular cans per ounce, you'd think it would be cheaper buying larger quantities & for the fact it’s for pro use. I watched the video on the Dow website and they mention to spray water first on the wood and also spray water on the foam after it's been dispensed to help it cure if it's a dry day outside, or a heated room. The plus of this system is it's easier to handle & work with than the regular cans as you can stop for lunch and not have the nozzle clog up, the trigger is nice compared to the wedge type thing that’s used on the regular cans & you can actually keep a can on for a month. If you want to keep it on longer than that just shoot some of the foam out after a month and your good for another month. Store it with the gun up BTW. Make sure you pick up a can of their gun cleaner, if you don't you'll have to just throw out the gun once the foam dries in it. This "Stuff" is hard to use as I said earlier, because the pressure keeps changing as you work as does the expansion rate of the foam, so while working you get into a pace of laying the "stuff" in, and then the can slows way down, so you have to change the pace. Sometimes the foam doesn't expand the same rate even though I shook the can for 3 minutes & kept giving it a few shakes every few minutes of use. Areas that didn't expand enough I would go back over and then that area would expand much faster and further out and go all over the window frame, a real mess. You can use a plastic putty knife to push down the foam back into the hole after it starts to cure in about 10 min. (it showed this on a youtube video) I ended up using a light on my forehead so I could see into the crack to see how fast the "stuff" was moving out of the nozzle & also how fast it was expanding, in some places I was able to get the nozzle all the way in to the back of the 5 1/2" space of the 2x6 depth, but many times the foam would backup onto the outer nozzle and I'd have to stop to clean it. Cleaning it when it's dry is a snap & scrapes right off, but when wet, it's a bear! It's sticky as all heck! Be sure to wear gloves, eye protection & old clothes as it’s impossible to get the “stuff” off of clothes. Looking back now I would NOT buy into this system for occasional or one time or even one house use, it's so much cheaper to buy their regular cans. I should mention that years ago when I needed to get into a tight spaces like the space where the cement foundation & 2x4 plate meet, I just bought some clear 18” flexible tubing that fit on the end of their regular cans and it worked great. I should have done the same for this job… I hope this review helps you and if it does please click on the thumbs up, thanks!

Hi Mike, we apologize that these products didn't perform up to your expectations. Here are some recommendations to ensure the most consistent flow rate from each can of GREAT STUFF PRO™: Apply when ambient temperature is between 32° - 100°F (0° - 38°C). Optimum product temperature is 60° - 90°F (15°- 32°C) and humidity <60%. Ensure can is upside-down at all times to ensure maximum pressure from the blowing agent inside the can. Adjust the knob at the back of the gun as-needed to increase the flow rate. We hope these tips help you in the future as you continue to use your Pro 14 Foam Dispensing Gun!

Bought 5 cans of this stuff and they had no pressure. Put a can of cleaning spray in gun and it worked just fine. So I know it was not the gun.
