Couldn't be happier with this product
We got a great deal on this refrigerator and couldn't be happier with it. We've had it now for two months and find more to like about it everyday. The pictures online don't do it justice, it looks much better in our home. This model was not available at our local Home Depot so we didn't have a chance to look at it in-person, but we were very pleased once it was delivered. The refrigerator has plenty of room, more than we imagined, and it is quiet. When family came over for Christmas they were all complimenting it. I would not hesitate to recommend this GE product.

Poor Quality with multiple issues
First and foremost I would like all to know that my interaction with Home Depot was first class.
After 30 years of being a loyal GE customer I will never purchase another GE product. Due to various and multiple issues GE replaced my fridge 3 times. The unit is loud, loud and loud. There were also multiple gasket issues allowing outside air to leak into the freezer causing excessive ice buildup and outside air into the fridge causing excessive running and fresh food freezing. The rear fridge cover would not fit onto the rear panel after the ice maker tubes were installed so I ended up cutting the rear panel to allow it to fit.

GE refrigerator, Built to fail?
Perhaps one of the most troublesome refrigerator ever owned.....Freezer motor seized twice, freezer door wont close properly anymore and now the refrigerator door gasket or moldimg is shot and everythimg spoils. Ota aboit 5 yeats old and a Like an old cwr already. What happen to product reliabilty like the old GE frigs? Shame on you GE.

Trying to make the best of it
I am disappointed with this refrigerator. The worst of it is that the top shelf has broken and I cannot replace the parts since the refrigerator is no longer being manufactured. But since the budget does not allow us to replace it right now, can someone please tell me which models that you currently manufacturer has a top shelf that will also fit this model so that I can purchase a replacement?

Parts are model specific. We have only tested and approved this appliance for use with the parts that are listed on our parts website for this model. We do not recommend attempting to install parts from other models.
You are correct that the fresh food top shelf for your model is no longer available with us. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience. We recommend checking online or with your local appliance stores to see if they have stock left. The part for the top shelf in the fresh food compartment is WR71X11064.

More cons than pros
We bought this fridge in a hurry a few years ago and it has been nothing but problems with it. The freezer fan constantly goes out. We fixed it a few times already. Time to trash this junk. We donor recomen this fridge to anyone.

Worst refrigerator Ever!
In the past 5 years we’ve been replacing parts. It was freezing the bottom food ex. Lettuce. Milk, spinach, now for the past month it’s warm on the bottom part. Would definitely Not recommend this appliance and brand!

Happy to be back to GE!
When my 32 year old GE fridge finally needed to be replaced 3 years ago, I decided to go with another brand.....big mistake, because the compressor broke in this short time!! So I'm back to GE and am very happy with this model. The temperature in both the freezer compartment and fridge compartment are great. And I am much happier with the interior of the both sections, especially the door storage. Also, I like having separate temperature controls in the freezer and the fridge. Thanks GE!

Noisy

No Freezer Light!
The refrigerator seems to be working fine. Very disappointed that manufacturer chose not to includ a light in the top freezer. Not mentioned in the product description and we never thought to check during installation. Guess we just have to live with finding freezer items in the dark.

old school quality
I am really satisfied with the space this refrigerator offers. I had two other 's delivered in which the freezer space was the size of my microwave oven. This freezer space is exactly what I was looking for and I can fit ice trays also.

Good Buy for the price
Very good value for the money. It was cheaper buying online.Still got the free shipping and removal of our old refrigerator.Store would not honor online price. Guess they can afford to let a sale walk out the door. Purchased the ice maker separately and was very easy to install

At home in my kitchen

Kind of noisy
It's nice to have a larger refrigerator and freezer but it run a little noisy. The quiet is appreciated when it kicks off. The shelves in the door are not adjustable so it cuts into flexibility and are larger than gallon size so they reduce space in the freeaer

Disappointed
I had a 20 year old GE that I replaced. I liked my older GE as it had an icecube tray holder built in the freezer. The new GE has none and also has no lip or ridge in freezer to keep items from sliding out. I have experienced ice crystals forming in the freezer and food freezing in the lower food area. The temperature control in the lower food storage apparently is getting bumped and easily changed as I find the setting has changed without my knowledge. The doors have had to be adjusted as they did not automatically close tight with just a gentle shove.

A good refrigerator!
This was builders choice. Nice looking, a good size. Works well in my kitchen. At times it can be quite noisy.

Looks Great, Performs Well, Good Interior Space
We had to buy a top-freezer refrigerator to fit into a space that would not take the taller 69+" models. This nice-looking refrigerator is perfect. I love the dual controls -- one for the freezer, one for the refrigerator (which is not always the case), the interior space. The stainless front cleans up easily.

Last Freezer on top I buy
It's just an OK buy-Hate the freezer on the top making you always bend down to get more used foods-Shelves too mall and jammed many things don't fit in easy to get at places.

Lowering my rating
Now that we have had this refrigerator for about 6 months, I am not as thrilled with it as I was initially. The freezer also seems to have a thin coating of frost on the inside of it. The food in the freezer tends to get ice crystals on the outside of it. I have experimented with changing the temperature settings but the frost is always there. The temperature control for the refrigerator is poorly located on the top wall of the refrigerator and it gets easily bumped when large items like a gallon of milk or a 2-liter soda are being put on the top shelf. I have had to reattach the temperature dial several times because it got knocked off.

Antarctic adventure
Have had this refrigerator for 2 months and has caused lots of anxiety for my wife. Replaced a fridge of similar cf size and dimensions but this fridge seems to lack in storage options. Shelving options not user friendly and bins can dislodge easily. The worst part is that food in bottom is freezing and top freezer has ice crystals everywhere. It has ruined some foods only to be thrown out. Also, due to fruit and veggies being frozen, we could not serve to guests on a few occasions. It feels like I'm in Antarctica when I open the freezer. Tried adjusting the temp levels to no avail. My wife hates it! Need to call GE for service already.
