    Door bins not durable
    I am ordering new bins for the doors due to the plastic material not being strong enough for the size of the bins

        Worst refrigerator I ever owned
        Going on year five of this crappy refrigerator motherboard went out within the first six months never has cooled and froze the way it really should now it’s 58° all froze up inside

              No butter shelf
              I like the refrigerator, I love the color. Not happy that instructions show we have a covered butter dish but customer service says we don't. Fix your instructions or give people what is in your manual!

                    8 year old junk
                    We really like the design and capacity and 2 ice makers when we purchased in 2015. However over the past 2 years the refrigerator has had several service calls . The problem lately is the lower shelves freeze and ice forms under the lower drawer. Temperature is set at 40 degrees but is variable when checked with thermometers. 32 degrees below to 40 top. We plan on buying a replacement shortly but will shy away from GE.

                      Great features but does not last
                      Bought this refrigerator 7 years ago and have repaired it 3 times. One time under warranty and two more times in the last 7 months. Not repairing again going to by a new brand. Not to mention when I bought it the deli drawer did not open and close properly.

                        Continual problems
                        We bought this fridge in 2016 and have problems with it every couple of years. First the control board for the deli drawer went out. Next one of the several fans stopped working. Food is freezing inside the fridge again so it appears fan(s) have gone bad again. This will be the last GE appliance I purchase.

                          High maintenance refrigerator
                          This refrigerator was purchased in 2015. It needed a program update for the fresh food fan. This was discovered after the fan failed. After the update the fan still doesn't last much longer than two years. I keep a new fan on top of the refrigerator for when it starts to make noise, I just go ahead and change it out. Now the door dispenser function for ice / water has stopped working. Also the fresh food light and the freezer light does not come on. I will try to replace the door feature circuit board.

                            Been a good fridge freeze for awhile Replaced evaporator fan 3 times within 8 years now dispenser stopped working what happen to the units that would go 20 plus years without issues Been GE for long time inlaws retired from there but not sure where to turn now

                              Makes weird loud noises. Dumps ice in the freezer.
                              Interior lights quit working. Randomly makes really loud loud noises. A loud humming sound. Ice maker dumps ice in the freezer.

There is LED lighting in the fresh food compartment and on the bottom of the fresh food doors to light the freezer compartment. An authorized technician will need to replace the LED light.                                 Replace After Only 7 Years Service
                                Replaced after only 7 years. 50 years ago a GE Refrigerator would last 30-50 years. Amazing, you would think the quality would have gotten better. Since owning I have had two fans replaced and then the main motherboard went out. I have always liked GE and have 4 other appliances that are GE. (Stove, Dishwasher, Clothes Washer and Dryer). Clothes Washer has been giving us trouble to where I'm close to replacing it. Now I got a Frigidare Refrigerator.

                                  Absolutely the worst Refrigerator in 67 years
                                  Motherboard went out first year. Some kind of fan that was no where near up to standards for what it should be used for went out and I had to call repair because you cannot fix the stupid thing without having the computer reset. now it’s freezing again Bottom is completely full of water

                                                Overall great product
                                                We love our fridge, unfortunately over the last year the ice maker in the freezer now creates large ice blocks (or one giant block of ice) instead of cubes. We’ve stopped using it and the door seems to be working ok. Overall good size, not a ton of bells & whistles but a good sturdy fridge that fits a lot.

We are sorry to hear of the issue with the icemaker. The defrost cycle radiates some heat into the freezer. The ice in the freezer will naturally absorb the heat. This will cause the ice to melt slightly during the defrost cycle and may cause the ice to freeze together in clumps. Increasing the food load in the freezer will buffer the warmth from the defrost cycle and keep the ice from melting. Make sure the freezer is at least 3/4 full of food. If this information does not help, service is recommended.                                                   Looks nice - when it works it is good
                                                  I got my fridge in May of 2018. I have already had to replace a fan on it which apparently, after looking at reviews, many other people have as well. Sometimes the food will freeze in the fridge. Sometimes it feels too warm. Crushed ice maker shoots ice all over the floor which is good if you like ice on your floor. It is loud as well. Also had the water line break that came with the fridge and ruined my kitchen floor. This is my last GE appliance. I have an old Frigidaire refrigerator in my basement that is older and still runs way better than this GE ever has.

                                                    Not cooling - only 4 years old
                                                    The meat drawer freezes solid. The back wall of fridge iced up. Any shelf higher than meat drawer is 55 degrees. Defrost heater is probably to blame, but it is the loudest fridge I have ever owned so I’m going back to a whirlpool.

If you are referring to freezing in the Temperature Controlled Drawer, those settings can be adjusted to be warmer. Keeping a reasonable food load in the drawer, and the overall refrigerator, can also help maintain an even temperature. For ice or frost building up in other areas of the refrigerator, you may want to make sure there are no issues with the door gasket preventing a proper seal – the doors being left open or opened too frequently can result in ice/frost build-up. Making sure the refrigerator is level and the doors align so they can close properly can also help. For the trouble you’ve had with the rest of your refrigerator not getting cool enough, in addition to the tips above, you might want to make sure the condenser is clean and no large items are blocking the air flow along the back wall.                                                       Horrible. Run don’t walk.
                                                      This fridge is a couple years old we have done nothing strange to it and basically all of the inside drawers and sidewall are falling apart. We purchased the warranty and the extended warranty however apparently that does not cover anything that’s “cosmetic”

                                                        Short life
                                                        This fridge was installed and had been used 6 years....now the temperature swings are crazy...just randomly bounces between 32 to 60 degrees. Disappointed.
