This product is thin and papery, tore very easily and was difficult to work with. I’m really glad I accidentally ordered only a single roll!!

After years of using just mulch in the past and still needing to pull weeds, I decided to put something down under the mulch and I found this product. To my surprise it actually worked. I will use this again.

At this point I am very well pleased with the Dalen landscape cloth. It is very easy to use and reasonably priced.
I am in the process of creating a series of 3-foot wide paths in my backyard, and this product is ideally designed
for my needs. What I don't know, is how well the product will prevent weed/grass penetration. Time will tell on
that aspect. It seems sufficiently sturdy to work very well.

Worst investment for the yard
This Dalen fabric did NOT prevent the weeds from growing through it. I wasted my hours of labor and $200.00 I paid to have the work completed. Wish I found something else that worked better.

Dalen stands behind the performance of Weed-X landscape fabric and will refund the cost of the landscape fabric purchased on homedepot.com with proof of purchase. Please provide a letter with how the landscape fabric was installed along with proof of purchase so that we can better understand why you were dissatisfied with the performance of the product for your landscaping project.

Disapointed
I bought this Dalene weedblock fabric because I though that with what it has been saying as 100% lab test, double layer, not biodegradable, etc.... I won't need a 2" mulch cover on top ot it as being required by other manufacturers. But when I received it and read on the its label, I found that it also does require a 1" to 2" thick much on top, in order to be eligible for its 20-year warranty. Therefore, this so-called Dalene manufacturer has put me in a gray area between using and not using the fabric. And I have decided to return it to have the peace of mind.

Exactly what I expected.
Not much to it, it's exactly what you'd expect. Would buy again.

Jury is still out!
It was as I expected. I purchased based on price and longevity in the ground.
Water tends to run off rather than go thru,
So far is keeping weeds out.
Tends to tear easily, I will be impressed it this last as long as they claim.

Used As Base Under New Raised Garden
I used this landscaping fabric as a base under a new raised garden I put together. Although it was a windy day, laying it down and using the Dalen "Garden Staples" to secure it in place made it a smooth project. So far, no weeds ! I found the fabric to be a good, durable weight and feel confident it will do the job of killing the weeds and keeping them out of my garden.

The product is terrible.
I bought Dalen Landscape weed x . I put down almost 400 feet of weed cloth. I have never had so many weeds. You can see them growing under the cloth. It offers no weed protection.

It's not a row cover
Silly...it is designed to be put on & nailed to the ground, not used as a floating row cover. Try tulle from the fabric or craft store instead.
With landscape fabric, you level the dirt/base. You apply landscape fabric. You put your planting mix goes on top of it, plants in the mix.
TYPICALLY, you have 1 foot overlap for strips, so this would cover less than 300 SF.
Do it once, do it right, and be weed-free from those that come up from the dirt below.

Dont waste your money.
I bought a 300 ft.roll of this to use for row covers in my garden and the weeds are thriving under it and tearing right through in just 5 weeks.I needed to get more fabric because I was short some.Went to Walmart and picked up some Preen fabric and it works great for the same price.Wish I could get my $$ back from DALEN.
