This product has great features for the price paid but like all other products available, the quality is lower than the one it replaced. Only owned it month now and hoping it will last many years like the one it replaced.

I made it to the 5 year mark - not working
After looking at all the reviews I guess I was lucky to get 5 years out of the microwave. I had checked my manual and it said to check the website for assistance and tips because I was having some of the same issues as other folks strange noises and then no longer heating the food. Very saddened to see how many problems were documented on this product. I purchased the whole series; Fridge, DW, Oven & Micro in 2013. Appears I will be replacing as they die off. I would think with so many people complaining a better solution or total recall of the product should have been provided. I am usually a brand loyal buyer, I will definitely have to do better research on my future purchases.

Capacitor fried after 4 years
The capacitor on our oven burned out after 4 years. Because of the way it's made, what should be an easy repair is not worth the cost and trouble, according to our appliance repair.

Stopped working after only 4 years
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this OTR as part of a kitchen update. Bought the entire gallery series. The microwave just stopped working. NOTHING. No lights, no fan, no power. I am very unhappy because this is an expensive unit and it turns out that it is very unreliable. I will never buy another frigidaire appliance.

Door doesn’t stay closed.
My microwave is a Gallery by Frigidaire and is five years old. The door will not stay closed and ergo you can’t heat any food. I ordered a new latch for the door but after reading other reviews I'll buy a new one. I won’t buy Frigidaire.

Microwave seems plastic
I bought this microwaveable convection oven three years ago when my stove broke on Thanksgiving Day. Now the the top of the panel has pulled from the units Appears to be plastic and the tip has somehow broken off inside. The convection only cooks on one side of the oven. I am not sure I can celebrate this brand any longer.

Frigidaire gallery disappoints
Completely renovated my apartment a few years back complete with frigidaire gallery microwave, dishwasher and gas range. microwave broke, door doesn't latch, doesn't heat up. The dishwasher stopped cleaning after a year and the range fails to ignite, the rubber fell off those metal things the pots go on. Overall very disappointed, need to completely replace 3 critical appliances in my kitchen in only a few years. Do not recommend

3 year failure
I purchased the full line gallery, refrigerator, stove oven and micro. I am very disappointed to hear so many other people have the same issues with the microwave, it is only three years old, door spring broke fixed it and now the control board doesn't work, and the unit has power? Go figure I wanted to get it fixed but now I may just be looking for another brand, hopefully my other appliances will last longer than that before I bought this my old Fridge, Oven and Micro were all about 12 to 13 years old and working.

Oh no! LTupset, I am dismayed to hear of your microwave experience. If the light and clock portions are working, and the buttons are not responding; some microwaves require an electrical connection with 240V. The light and clock portions only require 115V. Check the serial tag to see the voltage requirements. The clock and light working may indicate an electrical circuit breaker supplying the microwave is tripped or a fuse is blown. Confirm the dedicated microwave circuit is correct, and the microwave is plugged in correctly to a non GFI outlet. I hope this helps! Your friendly Frigidaire lady, Ruth

Stopped working!
Just moved into this house last fall. in the last 6 months the Frigidaire Gallery dishwasher and now the microwave has stopped working. The microwave makes a loud noise and doesn't heat. The repair cost is as much as a new microwave! Need to buy some new appliances and they won't be Frigidaire that is for sure........

Suddenly Quit

Disappointed........
am also having the same issue with the "plastic hinges" in the door - it's going to cost me MORE THAN HALF OF THE PRICE OF A NEW REPLACEMENT to fix this CHEAPLY MADE PRODUCT.....I purchased the entire GALLERY SERIES (microwave, stove, refrigerator and dishwasher) when we remodeled our kitchen.....my previous microwave was 10 years old AND STILL WORKED.......now it only makes sense to REPLACE instead of REPAIR but I'm questioning purchasing ANOTHER FRIGIDAIRE product..........very disappointed with the product......

Made with Poorly Engineered Plastic Parts
I bought this about 2 years ago and one day the door wouldn't close and found that a plastic part which held the spring that controlled levers that hold the door closed broke. Clearly if this was metal, it wouldn't have broke. The cost to replace and repair the door was half the original cost. Note to self-Never buy Frigidaire...

This came with the house, had begged the builder to install a range hood instead....its good as a microwave but worse when it comes to exhaust! Covers only the back burners and suction is horrible...and so is the Noise!
My cabinets above are all destroyed and kitchen cabinet tops is a nightmare when comes to cleaning. Will have to replace the cabinets because of its poor functioning.

It melted.
So at the appropriate height above the gas range it melted. The push button panel is warped due to heat. Now after a day of lots of cooking the lower door hitch is melted strait. I cannot believe it. If it were not for those things the microwave is great. The matching oven and range panel is warped from heat as well. Really??

I purchased a home with all Frigidaire appliances. I needed to replace the existing fan with a microwave/fan combo. Because I wanted all of the appliances to match I stuck with the Frigidaire brand. I was a week away from the 1 year warranty expiring and the heating unit went out..... I have never had a microwave with issues before, NEVER!!!!!

Not user friendly
Too many buttons to push to change power levels. Not enough choices for other auto cook or warm options. Popcorn option doesn't allow sufficient time to pop the majority of kernels in the bag.

Unsatisfactory Service
Approximately two or three months of owning this product it broke. According to the technician several parts broke. It took approximately three weeks to receive the parts and another week for the technician to come install the parts. The service I received from The Old Guys was less than exemplary. I had to call them for a status on the repair. I was not afforded the courtesy of a phone call to let me know they were waiting on parts and that it would take as long as it did to receive them. I call Frigidaire to check on the part and to my surprise it was in stock. I called The Old Guys and informed them the parts were in-stock. After they received the parts, it was approximately a week to get the technician over to install the parts. The day he was scheduled to come I received a phone call from their office to let me know the technician's truck had broken down and would have to schedule me for the next day, a Friday. Somone stayed at my home to wait for the technician on Friday, but he never showed up and again, not even the courtesy of a phone call. I called the company, but they were closed and I never received a phone call to apologize for not showing up on Friday as I was told. This service is unacceptable!
