The instructions were poorly written failing to explain there was a time limit between the insertion of the batteries and the synchronizing of the remote transmitter. Also the construction of the selector switch was shoddy and not up to the demands of working within a time restriction.

The log set is nice. My problem was with the remote. The remote only turns on and off the gas to the logs. There is no thermostat control on the remote or logs. The on/off on the remote only works if the pilot is lit. To adjust the flame you have to remove a log (which at times could be very hot) in order to control the flame height or to lit the pilot. I returned these logs and am looking for a set that has a thermostat and remote that will control the temperature as well as the ability to turn the logs on and off.

The unit had no thermostat . It overheated the room. I returned it.

We haven’t used the logs but once. Husband has been in the hospital for several days. The logs were installed by our HVAC representative.

The remote start works for a short time and then doesn’t work.

Very nice logs & they provide a substantial amount of heat. The remote is also a very nice feature. The only reason for the 4 star instead of 5 is the logs do not provide adjustable flame levels.

Great product

Everything was good except for using the remote, Difficult to setup in that you have to unscrew three different parts to get to were the batteries go in and put back together.

The remote stopped working for awhile and then later on worked but is now not working again. It heats really well on low flame but needs to be even lower. The switch worked fine for awhile and now works in reverse. In other words,off is on and on is off!

Realistic and warm. Really enjoying! Strong smell at first does wear off!!

This is absolutely the worst set of logs I have ever purchased. The first set arrived with 5 logs broken in half. I took that set back and purchased another set. After installing I discovered that the controls were locked up. Cheap and poor quality!

Directions for remote are terrible at best. The remote and logs never would sync up. The logs and burner work great.

Didn’t work

Beautiful set! It wasn't hard to install; we did it ourselves. Love the appearance and the warmth; the remote control is a greater delight than we expected. One drawback is that the pilot light has a pretty large flame. It, alone, puts out quite a bit of heat. This is not a good thing when it is not desired. It is inconvenient to have to turn the pilot light off and back on.

The log set puts out the heat, looks good but I had to replace one of the big logs in the back that cracked within two weeks of use. I contacted the MFG. and they seem to have only one service rep. I waited on the phone one day for 20min (5th in line)and then I gave up. I called two more times over different days still 5th in line. The last time I called got on the third person waiting in line for service which was about 10 min.The rep. was helpful and seem to be knowledge. He sent out the replacement log within two weeks.

The fire looks great and it provides warmth.

Really Nice! This is the fairest priced remote control log set available. I see some had problems getting it started. Remember to keep the pilot light on for at least a minute, maybe longer the first time you fire this up. If it doesn't stay lit, it's YOUR gas pressure/mix, NOT this log set.

I love my new Gas fireplace logs. It really kicks out the heat and it looks so pretty!

Beautiful fire

Installation of grate base burner was easy with supplied adaptor. The remote on base had not been installed properly, wires frayed and disconnected, so had to use wall switch for on off. Pilot light flame very long and very noisy. 10 cement logs very heavy and no notches for stacking.

Easy enough to install. Works as expected.
