The dimensions of the metal frame were close but not correct. The interior lip of the metal frame...
The dimensions of the metal frame were close but not correct. The interior lip of the metal frame was 24.5” not 24” as advertised. I had already cut studs and framed-in the hole while awaiting delivery of the frame and door. I recommend you wait for delivery, measure, then do final framing.

ND - for additional information on the rough opening for the access panel you can access that information in the section labeled Info and Guides. Our submittal/specification sheet in located there with this and other data.

Although its" size states 24"x 24" you would think that the ruff opening would be that of 24" on center. Why make a product the requires a special size opening. Not good for me, sorry.

I could not find a wide and shorter access door. I needed a 12" to 18" tall x 24" wide. The fitting is a little to tigh to allow for painting. Needs a larger gap.

Otto, this model does come in a 12X24 size! However, it is not available online. You will need to visit the Customer Service desk at your local Home Depot to place the order. I hope this helps you and thank you for choosing Elmdor products for your project.
