First sewing machine of my very own! I am in LOVE! My XL2600i is helping me to make and do "sew" many wonderful things. I am absolutely delighted with it!

This is a great sewing machine, but it has lots of problems with pins!!! It will eat the material at the beginning of a seam if you're too close to the edge or if there is a pin too close. But it's easy to operate and even a beginner could use it.

i used it without taking sewing classes, because i thought its too easy, but its no more working, now searching if i can fix it, i hope so.

My wonderful Brother's Sewing Machine is broken and no one seems to be able to repair due to not being able to get the parts. I only have had the machine for a couple of years and really enjoyed it.

This is a great machine. Have just started using some of the different stitches and they are beautiful. Once I got the hang of it, I love the needle threader. Now I don't mind switching thread colors throughout my project.

I purchased this machine nearly 8 years ago. I have used it consistently in the last 8 years as my only sewing machine. It is a workhorse. I love that it is mechanical, so I never have to worry about a motherboard breaking down. I have sewed a wide variety of quilts, baby blankets, clothes, and even a stuffed animal with this bargain. My ONLY complaint about this machine is that the throat is very narrow. I have to quilt on a friend's machine to have enough space. Even though I am thinking about upgrading to a larger machine, I'll hold on to this one. It's lightweight and perfect for taking to sewing classes and groups.

Maybe I'm not the best judge of machines since I've only ever owned one. But, I bought this when I was in 8th grade and now am 28. I've taken it apart a few times to clean it, repair it, and retrieve the spool holder (moving accident...twice). It's easy to understand mechanically if something bends or breaks. I love this thing. It's taken me through my lord of the rings costuming phase, first apartment curtains, mending my husbands clothes, belly dance costumes, soon to be baby clothes and everything between. I come from a Singer family, but I recommend brother to everyone.

It does sew straight, but you can't do quality work because the foot is having too much pressure, also the button holes is not working properly. I regret I bought it! I never used it, except to test if it sew straight.

THe machine is awesome- no issues at all... only problem I have encountered is the fact that my presser foot holder falls off the metal shank a lot. Have asked why- can't figure it out.

I have never sewed before but I finally got up the nerve to teach myself how to sew. The sewing machine was very user friendly and easy to use.

Tension slips when bobbin is changed. Not good!!!!

This machine is great. It is so easy to use. This is my first brother machine and it won me over. Brother is now my brand.....

This little brother is a pleasant surprise. I've had Brother's before but they used to jam on the bottom. This one is smooth sewing, doesn't jam at all (so far) and it's quite. I would have given it 5 stars except it's a little light. I prefer a heavier machine. I would recommend it every day use. I'm not sure about heavy sewing yet because I haven't used it for that.

i had never used a brother. sewed for thirty five years on a singer and now wished i had the wonderful new machine. i am still learning but i love BROTHER.

Great machine. I like all the build in's especially self threader. This is my first Brother machine but I really like it.

This machine is good for the beginner sewer. It is easy to use and offers many different types of stitches.

Still figuring it all out but so far has been great , sewing my first quilt , sewed a few small projects for my husband he liked the job i did on those. I love this machine and I hope that i will get it all figured out and know how to work all the stitches on it . will definitely recommend it to other people

First it is so light and compact which makes it easy to handle and store but most importantly it is so easy to use. I haven't used a sewing machine since high school 40 years ago. I was concerned about threading the bobbin and the needle but it is so easy it practically does it itself. Would and have recommended it.

I am taking a sewing class for the first time this machine is what we use in class!!!!! Not a complicated machine very easy! I don't know everything it does yet but there are quite a few different stitches you can do!!!!!! Great price as well

Just be sure to use steel bobbins not plastic to prevent problems.

This is just what I wanted. A smaller, lighter version of my old, outdated machine with new, convent features. Changing bobbins and threading the needle is so easy. So glad I purchased this sewing machine.

Shipped quick. Sews great. Kind of noisy when you sew. But for the price and having the features I wanted I can deal with the noise.

My Brother XL2600i has been my best purchase towards my wellbeing. I have been in permanent disability for some years and sawing has been my best therapy! Before this purchase I did not know anything about sawing, patterns or anything about cloth making. But I realized this product is so easy to use that I just kept making anything I want. It could be a simple PJ's or a vest for my husband or a nice dress for myself!! I recommend this machine to anyone who wants to feel in control of their life!!

I don't do any fancy sewing but I needed to replace my old machine. This new machine is really easy to use and I am very happy with the curtains I made. I really only have two minor complaints: 1) there is no adjustable guide (my old machine had one that attached with a screw to help keep the fabric aligned while sewing), and 2) I would prefer a metal pedal, as the lightweight plastic one easily slides away.

It has been a long time since I had a sewing machine. Have not had time until I retired to do things I wanted to do. I had a Brother machine many years ago and knew the quality of this machine and that is why I purchased this one. I'm still in the process of learning how to do the different things on it but the tutorials on line have been a great help.
