Home Depot has no interest in the safety hazard their bulbs cause.. this is the second bulb that broke away form base over the last year and came crashing down!!!! would give this zero stars if i could

I only like white lighting and it was so good with light fixture I just purchased that I went back to get dimmer light switch so I could dim or brighten when I needed too

I have had these light bulbs for less than 1 week and the glass separated at the base of the bulb. The bulb was in track lighting in my kitchen so it acted like a mini-grenade that came smashing down right next to me. The light was not even on when this occurred. I like the bulb style and light it puts out, but I can't trust them.

Bright, clean lights. Like that they’re not oversized like a lot of Edison bulbs.

I needed a bulb that was shorter but still used a standard A19 base. The bulls also needed to enhance the fixture and the area I was planning to use it on. This bulb meet both needs. It puts out light mostly even all around. The light is a warm glow that enhanced the bubbled glass fixture. Purchased in store therefore no delivery or customer service was used.

Great lumens from this 100 watt equivalent and only uses 13 watts each. Needed a output color light with more light to light up a corner of the room that was very dim. This did the job.

The bulbs give off a very hot white look. When there are off the exposed look of the filament has a retro look to them.

These aren’t returnable to the store, so am just now contacting via email as mentioned in the question above. If they would truly last 13 years, that would be great. We bought another box after one went out, but 2 more is really annoying. The new box has a different shaped filament, so we’ll see how they do.

Quiet bright I like it and affordable package.

Bought 4 pack for 2 lights, In the spring last year. Now have one light bulb left. Other three self destructed. These are cheaply made and fail. So no deal unless you keep the receipt and get replacements, highly recommend if buying these hold on to receipt, and get replacements all the time.

I bought these bulbs in June. It’s now December and they all started flickering within a day of each other. This is not even close to the 13 YEARS they are supposed to last. I can’t take them back for the warranty coverage, because who keeps a receipt for light bulbs from 6 months ago? Not me.

Within a couple months, the individual filaments started blinking on and off in a random pattern. These bulbs were used in a variety of indoor situations and not on a dimmer. I've had incandescent bulbs last far longer. I have now resolved to keep all my receipts for LED bulbs because they aren't cheap, especially if they don't last anywhere near the 12 yrs (as advertised) or even the 5 yrs (as warrantied).

Initially not impressed since light flickered (not on a dimmer) and color quality was poor, now really turned off after the glass separated from the base and shattered and diodes started smoking.

Very disappointed with the quality of these bulbs. After 6 months one out of four of the bulbs started blinking and then failed. It still turns on but very dim. Another issue, the Bright White is not bright white but bright yellow. Someone got the wires crossed somewhere.

I am using these 40 Watt LED dimmable bulbs in my bathroom vanity light that takes 4 bulbs. There are times when nice bright daylight is needed in the bathroom for grooming, cleaning, etc., but most of the time 4 daylight bulbs are just 2 much so having the ability to dim them at the switch is perfect. They dim gradually and through the full range of brightness.

My wife very much likes this light bulb. She seems to prefer bulbs with a visible filament, whereas my preference is for an opaque bulb. Anyway, the bulb does look good and it puts out a good amount of light. Used on our dimmer, it does not flicker or do anything weird. I would recommend this bulb for someone interested in a visible filament bulb that is dimmable and bright.

The EcoSmart 40-Watt Equivalent Clear Glass Filament LED Light Bulbs illuminate with a bright white light, but only use an actual 4.5 watts! This technology is great for our environment and for my electric bill! I have a decorative lamp that uses a thick, amber shade. Most bulbs do not emit with enough brilliance to fill the room. However, these EcoSmart bulbs shine through and fill my study with a warm, amber glow! I like the fact that there are 4 in the pack and that the outer glass and inner Filament are thick and durable!

I've had the EcoSmart 40-Watt Equivalent A19 Dimmable Clear Glass Filament LED Light Bulb in Daylight 5000K (4-Pack) for a few days and I installed the bulbs in one of our bathrooms. I really like that the bulbs are dimmable and they worked great with our dimmer switch. I also like that they are energy efficient and should last a number of years. I'm really impressed with this daylight product and it certainly has met my expectations.

EcoSmart 40-Watt Equivalent A19 Dimmable Clear Glass Filament LED Light Bulb Daylight (4-Pack) is an energy efficient, using only 4.5 watt. It is advertised that it can last up to 15000 hrs. or over 13 years and shatter resistant. With our current situation, using 87% less energy is a real plus. The base of the light is the regular silver. It is rated for indoors, but can also be used in damp places, such as a bathroom. Can be used in an outdoor light if it is a totally enclosed fixtures. They also contain no mercury! Always a plus.

The Bulb came away from base and melted on the filament 10 minutes after it was newly installed. 6 weeks later another bulb on a different light fixture went out. When I went to change it, the glass came away from the base in my hand. These bubs are expensive and unsafe. A fire could have started in the light fixture. I am replacing them all with another brand and returning them all to the store.

The perceived light from these ECOSMART / LED Soft White (2700 Kelvin) 40-watt (uses 4.5 watts of power/energy) standard-socket lightbulbs is a bit whiter than a typical 40-watt incandescent bulb. Dimming down does not turn the light as warm a candle-glow look as it does in dimming an incandescent bulb. These clear glass bulbs should really be used in a fixture that allows you to see the filament (as with classic Edison bulbs) because the design of the crisscross filament is simply beautiful.

This review is for the Eco smart 40wt equivalent A19 clear led bulbs. I had previously purchased the 60 watt and found it to be a bit bright for this fixture. The 40 watt seems to be the one. I was not sure whether to go clear or frosted however, so I will try and then review the frosted next. What I do like for sure is the height or length of this one some of them are rather long. It is also dimmable if you choose.

I was looking for some bright white light bulbs that are LED and low wattage to replace out some of our existing standard filament bulbs. I was looking specifically for the 5000K bulbs because my wife has issues in the dark and this light works better for here. I have a picture for comparison to 4000K and 5000K bulbs and you can see the one in a brighter white, while the 4000K still put off good light, but are more yellow or warm to the color they put off. These bulbs are equivalent to 40W, but only using 4.8W, so that is a good amount less overall usage. We are very happy with these bulbs and hoping they last as long as stated.

Bought these because they were the only 60w 800 lumen 2700k wet-rated LED bulbs on the shelf at my Home Depot. Good amount of light, seemed to work fine in my bathroom fixture. Within three hours of use one had started flickering. I removed the bulb from the socket to find one of the yellow/orange filament parts had exploded within the bulb, leaving behind condensation and filament shards. Will be returning these and getting a different brand that doesn't fail within a few hours.

I’m an electrician and use this brand most often. We’ve had these particular bulbs in our seven exterior light fixtures for over a year. All of them are still working. They have turned on even when temperatures fell below zero degrees fahrenheit. They are extremely bright and light up the yard nicely, but not bright enough to annoy or blind people driving past. No complaints at all. I’ll continue to purchase these. Especially at this price.

Hey, light bulbs - not exactly an exciting product, right? Guess again. These little beauties are amazing! Ecosmart makes terrific light bulbs; we know because of these but also because it's the only brand of light bulb we've purchased over the past two years at The Home Depot. We buy them because they're bright, they last practically forever, and they're extremely economical to use. We have very expensive electricity rates here in New Hampshire so I'm always looking for ways to economize. Good ole Ecosmart to the rescue! These bulbs are LED, meaning super cheap to operate. We keep one of our fixtures on 18 hours a day (it illuminates our dark entryway) and it's literally pennies each month! We've replaced every single light bulb in our home, outside our home, and in our garage with Ecosmart LED bulbs. We've never had one burn out yet and our electric bill has definitely been improved upon! SO happy with this company's products.

The EcoSmart 100-Watt Equivalent A19 Dimmable Clear Glass Filament LED Light Bulb is a great decorative lamp for those who need a lot of light and would be using a 100W standard incandescent lamp. The benefit of the LED lamp is that it uses so little power to deliver the same amount of light (1600) lumens as a light using the full 100W of electricity. This lamp is also wet rated and is dimmable and suitable for use in enclosed fixtures, like some of the outdoor fixtures or completely covered indoor fixtures. It is not, however, recommended for exit lights in emergency light fixtures. The criss cross filaments and clear glass make the light a very pretty lamp and the fact that it can be dimmed means you can have a bright light when you need it and still have a dim light when you want it. In the pictures, it is installed in a regular lamp and looks great. When it is dimmed, the filaments create a nice glow, but, I am told you shouldn't stare into a fully bright LED lamp, in general. I would recommend this lamp for areas that need a bright light.

I have replaced an existing LED bulb with this new EcoSmart bulb and am very pleased with the result. I have no problem reading from a single lamp, in an otherwise dark room, or having the brightness I seek. I have also tried using this new EcoSmart to replace an existing incandescent bulb in a bathroom light fixture containing several bulbs. This new EcoSmart bulb provides more total illumination, without appearing harsh, than several of those incandescent bulbs, and does so at a tiny fraction of the wattage previously required. The result is excellent money savings, and an additional benefit is that the new EcoSmart gives off much less heat. Very pleased with this bulb.
