The Dyno-Glo Pro 80k is a good product. Lives up to the ratings. I have a uninsulated 900 sq. ft. shop. It has been mid to low 20’s and it makes it comfortable to wear just a sweatshirt and jeans. I recommend this product at the price point. Only downside is the odors, but bearable.

Worked as advertised for the first 2-3 hours the it wouldn’t light off and was blowing fuel out of the front. I returned it to Home Depot.

Heats my 30x20 pole barn to 60 degrees in 45 minutes when it was 10 degrees out side air. The bad is that it does suck down the fuel.

The worst design ever...cavemen did it better
I bought this thing a couple of days ago to use in my garage while I'm working, but it doesn't work at all. I filled it with kerosene, plugged it in, adjusted the dials, etc, but all it does is spew kerosene out of the front of the heater and shuts off. Don't even bother looking at the manual. There's nothing in there about kerosene spewing out of the front...you know they're not going to put that little problem in writing. So an employee tells me that if it's blowing kerosene out of the front, it's because the fuel gauge needs to adjusted, and the manufacturer can send me a gauge. Really...I have time for that? I didn't buy it because I need it later, I bought it because I need it now. So I ask why the gauge isn't already included with the heater. He says that some companies tell them not to include certain parts because they can sell it cheaper in the store. I'm not making this up. So someone at Home Depot thinks it's a good idea to put the customer through this just so they can sell it cheaper...not including a vital part of the heater so they can sell it cheaper. Wow. I could understand that mentality if we lived in an uncivilized society. But if Dyna Glo allows this kind of behavior and let's the store determine how they present their product, I just won't buy from them anymore. And by the way, why does this thing have to be plugged in AND need kerosene? Why does any heater need two types of fuel? I understand that it needs to be ignited, but to have to plug it in...what kind of sense does that make? Pick one or the other. While I'm trying to figure out what's going on with the kerosene blowing out of the front of it, every time I plug it in, it kicks the breaker off. So now I have to deal with two problems. Horrible ridiculous design.

My 170k unit that was ~25 years old died and I replaced it with this unit. I knew for awhile that I wanted the features that the newer units have - mainly multi fuel and a thermostat. It is also much more versatile for me to have 2 smaller units (80BTU) than 1 large unit . I was very pleased with the lack of odor from burning much less expensive off road diesel vs. kerosene.

This heater pumps out the promised heat, but it sounds like a jet engine. I'd give it 5 stars for heat. I used it outside twice before returning it for being far too loud, and I cannot imagine using it in any shop or construction setting unless you are also wearing noise protection and don't need to hear anything. You certainly cannot have a conversation anywhere near this thing.

This unit came as advertised and so far I've had no issues with it. The plastic bars for the cord wrap lasted a whole two days ( should be steel ) but other then that no operational issues.
