Solid grip and enough silicone to make it water resistant The connections are below ground level but inside the post for landscape lights. It’s been a month and they’re working well. Will but again. Note: Hime Depot has different sizes for smaller wires, my local electrical supply didn’t.

They are failing to keep the water out, or anything else for that matter.

Very large, good quality connectors. Has dielectric silicone (or some type of clear grease) inside each connector to help make the wires waterproof.

Easy to use. Used many times over the years . . . not a problem yet . . .

Great for direct bury and outside connections.

Used on two #6guage copper. Just hard to feel if it locked on tight. Otherwise worked under load.

I use these in all three sizes for outdoor low voltage connections. I like to apply a connector in the middle range of the wire conductors size. This was my first purchase of the large size. It worked very well. I have used several packages of the medium size and a package of the small size. They have all performed well. I like the silicone As I use these in flower beds with irrigation, I go an extra step and add duct seal material that is sold at Home Depot along with some Scotch brand 88 tape from Home Depot over each connector. I installed about 90 medium connectors. Only have one LED light that is out and I believe it is the light not the connector as all the lights on that circuit are operating properly.

These wire connectors are a lifesaver. We had 35 outdoor lights to wire and these made the job easier and cleaner than either electrical tape or other wire nuts. The insert and twist design shortened the time for each light significantly. It took longer to mount the bulbs! Highly recommend these.
