Poor design. My unit or my battery have failed. I cannot tell if my charger or my battery is dead. These are rather costly units to go purchase both .. just in case one or the other or both are faulty.

I have the same problem as the other reviewers. The unit won't charge. We aren't sure if it is the battery or the charger, but it would seem to be the charger as it had a slight charge when testing and got it to drain down, but couldn't get a light on the charge. It's a shame. The unit was good, but without a charger, it really becomes worthless.

I used the tool for max 3 hrs and I had the same problem: either the charger or the battery stopped working completely. Useless.

this charger though used only sporadically only lasted a few years. No way to tell if battery is bad or charger is bad. Poor design.

I bought this 2 years ago and the tool is still working like a champ. Unfortunately the charger isn't nearly as good as the dremel tool. The charge time went quickly from 3 hours to overnight to days and weeks. And further to plug and remove many times a day to get any charge at all. Once charged the battery holds up to days of use through many projects. Today I plugged in the almost dead battery to an immediate green light. Is it going to charge at all? I have no idea.
