The surround looks nice but was a pain to install. The side walls needed to be cut and the shower...
The surround looks nice but was a pain to install. The side walls needed to be cut and the shower hardware sits over the lumps on the wall so they are not nice and flush. Overall it looks good but would have made more sense to have flat side walls.

We had wanted an Aquatic shower and surround but after two attempts to acquire one (both were damaged between the warehouse and store), we were told that this was an upgrade. The walls were much thinner and installation more difficult than the Aquatic. We've only had it installed for about a week so don't know how durable it is going to be.

In the description online it clearly states direct to stud installation, then further down in the description it states must have backing. I purchased based on the direct to stud install and it is not the correct unit.

Beautiful Shower! One negative was that the shower stall came busted, after waiting a 5 day delay. Which we needed to reorder, and that put our contractor 2 weeks behind. Love the shower....but did not appreciate the HomeDepots responses concerning this situation. Really not sure how long we will wait to shop at HomeDepot again.....if ever!

Ordered online received it and opened the bottom ordered a right hand drain got a left hand drain in the right hand drain box wont just do a swap bottom for bottom have to return the 3 boxes of the kit

It's a nice looking shower. I had it installed and it seemed to go smoothly BUT there should be some sort of trim at the top. I had to buy a piece of pvc floor molding and caulk it to the top as trim and a seal with the wall. The shower should have come with some sort of trim for top and sides.

I have recently purchased this product and reviewed the installation instructions as well as the details listed within this product. The details here state the product is mounted direct to the studs, which is contrary to the installation instructions that show the walls are adhered to a solid surface and the basin is not mounted to the wall studs but into a bed of mortar.
I'll say this, the installation instructions and technical information on this product could use some improvement for the normal DIY person. Once I have completed the installation, I will be sure to post additional information.

Thank you for your feedback. DreamLine does recommend that our products be installed by professionals. The shower base is, in fact, installed to the studs and with a bed of mortar underneath it as outlined in the installation manual. Next, your backer board is then installed to the studs and to the top of the flange around the shower base. The Acrylic Walls are then adhered to the backer board with adhesive. This is all outlined in the manuals in great detail. DreamLine does place our Customer Support Team contact information on the front of every manual, should the installer have questions about the installation. The first shipment arrived damaged. This slowed my project installation time down for a week.The customer service Rep. from DreamLine reordered the damaged pieces. The second order arrived with one wrong part and the other damaged again. I was not going to reorder for a third time again so I returned the entire purchase.
Product looked good unfortunately it can't be shipped to arrive without damage.

The shower base is well made. The shower walls were a disappointment since I️ had to cut the walls to make my 34 inch walls with a utility knife. I️ did not see anything stating that when I️ special order a 60x34 shower kit.

The finish is a good one. The shelves are adequate but taller pump bottles will only fit the top shelf.
The clear glass door requires a squeegee best used after each use to avoid dry water spots which will happen, especially if you have harder water...i.e. well water. It would be nice to have had a wavy glass or pebbled glass option. Also, a "soft close" door option as some other manufacturers offer would be nice.
