I went to Home Depot to look at the Hampton Bay line of outdoor post lights they have in stock and found them to be of mediocre quality and manufactured using very thin gauge aluminum. We decided to see if we can find better products online and saw good reviews on Designers Fountain post lights. We ordered the lights through Home Depot. The shipping weight of their Riviera 3-lantern model used to be 50+ pounds of shipping weight, but the new version manufactured in China is now only 40 pounds in total weight. Upon receipt, we noticed that the gauge of aluminum was not any thicker than the Hampton Bay models. Installation was quite straight forward other than the thicker than usual base. Time will tell how this light stands up to the elements.
