I bought this unit almost a month ago and I love it. It was easy to set up and it alerted me right away when someone came in the driveway. This Defender unit works just like it was supposed to.

I've been using this product for 3 weeks now and I must say, it will let you know if something comes in the yard. I am very happy with the purchase i made.

I am using two sensors and they work flawlessly. I am aware of any movement in or around the area monitored. Battery usage is yet to be determined.

We are using this alert for a distance of about 100 feet and through the wall of our house. The alert works well every time. We appreciate the volume control and the easily accessible On/Off button. We haven't tried the sensitivity control yet, but will try it in the future as the alert has detected a cat already. I also had to re-position it when it alerted from landscape plants during a high wind. Re-positioning cured that problem.

Unit does report motion every time. Spent almost two hours testing units distance and sensitive. Works great if object is 7 to 9 foot from the unit and is moving away.

System has capability of being totally portable for use in remote locations. I bought the system for a hard of hearing friend. He can hear it with no problem.

It's not reliable. It detects vehicles sometimes but for the most part it doesn't work well at all. We've tried adjusting the sensitivity but no luck. Would not recommend.

I purchased this to monitor traffic coming into the reception area of a small office. It picks up and notifies our staff of people coming into the office. It has nice features, including the ability to adjust sensors and range, adjust volume and add additional motion detectors. It lacks the ability to change alert sounds from the shrill beep, for example a chime. The multiple beeps with each warning can be annoying.

Read all the reviews and felt it should work so ordered and installed. Instructions were easy to follow and "Link" the detector to the receiver. Alarm volume is adjustable, zones can be shut down for known activity (to save batteries) and was not hard to test for best distance sensitivity. I did put black tape over the main on/off as we put the receiver in our bedroom. Follow the angle of receiver placement to expected motion to detect! Good value!

This was just what we were looking for. Security for driveway (tree lined lane). Only problem i can see is that it is so sensitive that large tree leaves set it off. Otherwise it is doing it's job and letting me know when someone is coming up the drive. Had to rig up a waterproof box for it but think it will survive the winter as set up.

The regulation of the product's sensitivity is difficult to control. It picks up activity that I believe to be outer range. The battery length is far too short; however, it has a/c input.

I purchased this wireless driveway alert hoping that it would be better quality than the $15 Harbor Freight model. I can say it seems pretty well made. It's also expandable to three zones, and the alert volume is adjustable with a dial knob. The big complaint I have is the lack of range between the sensor and receiver. The company claims 300 ft. max. This is an absolute joke. You couldn't get 300 ft range in the middle of the desert if the receiver was downwind of the sensor. My $50 wireless router is on the other side of my house, and it can punch a signal through a couple of walls and provide several MB/s of data. This system can't get one burst through a single obstruction. When they say line-of-sight, they really mean it. When you set this system up, you literally have to be able to see the receiver from the sensor. If you can live with this limitation, it's OK. Just don't buy this thinking that it will be like your wireless home network.

I wanted a driveway alarm that had an AC adapter for the alarm unit in the house. It's ok to change batteries in the sending unit in the driveway, but didn't want to mess with worrying about the inside unit. This Frontline has an AC power adapter, but the alarm signal was not loud enough for us (and we have an open concept house, so walls were not the issue) and the signal tone was a beep which sounded just like the coffeemaker when it's done. So I looked again and found the Chamberlain unit. Much better! Comparable price and improved alarm signal.. a loud chirping which is easy to hear all over the house.

I just love this product! It picks up a lot better than it says! We actually had to move and rotate ours because some of the bigger trucks and buses would set it off. Very happy with this product and well worth the money!

So far works well. It lets beeps and I know someone on my driveway and it beeps letting me know someone is on my walkway.

The product is easy to install but I would like better acoustics.

Had some initial difficulties with a young tree swaying in the wind setting off the motion sensor. With some repositioning of the sensor the unit works well.

I placed one sensor near my garage door and a second sensor on a post that makes up a perimeter fence. I've found that the second sensor doesn't cover all the area I want covered so I will buy a third sensor to cover what I need. The battery life in the receiver is less than a week and then the AC adapter was used. I am totally satisfied with the product. I mounted both units with two nylon tie wraps instead of drilling holes. This makes it easier if I neeed to move them later.

I needed a motion sensor for my in house location. It works great, does the job even with two cats in the house. I positioned the sensor so the cats do not trigger the alarm. The price was right too.

Around 3:30 am, my Frontline Alert sounded. I expected to find a neighbor's dog, but instead, I saw headlights and someone standing next to my mailbox claiming to be delivering the newspaper. That's strange because I don't take any newspapers! I have several security cameras, but I can't sit and watch them constantly. After the car drove off, I watched to see if it went to any of my neighbors that do take the newspaper, but it didn't. I only have one system, but I'm going to buy an extra motion sensor to cover the other side of my property. With this bad economy and high unemployment, people are getting desperate and I feel much better knowing when someone is approaching. No home security system is complete without it.

ONLY IN FINE PRINT DOES IT TELL YOU THAT THE BATTERIES IN THE RECEIVER LAST FOR 24 HRS AND TO USE THE AC ADAPTER!!!

Great product...tells us when so is close to our home as we installed in on our back deck.

Works very well as described. Service was prompt and on time as promised. Contacted technical support for a technical question and the reply was fast and informative. Thanks for the excellent product and service.

Unit had to be sent back to the manufacturer - sensor would not sync with the receiver. Indicator lights far to dim to see effectively.

Does not have secure enough plate to place the motion detector on therefore anyone can just walk up and remove it

The product works great but the alert signal is not loud enough except if you are in the same room or have the TV on. The unit has an external alert system hook up but when I Emailed Defender and asked what kind of or where to buy an external extender there reply was that they had no idea. Basicaly that is your problem not ours. So glad you asked maybe you can figure out where I can buy an external alarm that will work with that unit. Thanks

This wireless alert system works very well as presented. I was happy to find a unit that would allow the receiver to monitor multiple alert sensors, in this case three. The only negative is the very small screw that holds the outside sensor to the bracket. In my opinion this should have been a larger screw to make it easier to handle. If you drop the screw you may never find it. I went to the hardware store and bought some extra screws because I know that I will loose one at some point. It was not easy to find a screw this small. All in all, a very good alert system. I bought a second set so I would have an extra monitor and and extra outside sensor.

I like it, i have it on the path to the front door, and it alerts me everytime someone is coming to visit when i am upstairs in my bed. It gives you that extra few moments in the night to prepare yourself for the worse! Only bad thing, it's hard to find the additional monitors anywhere! The blue light is a bit bright when sitting on your nightstand though.

The Defender Wireless Driveway Alert System is easy to set up, is very effective as an early alert system.
