This was so easy to use and looks great! I just bought more colors !

I purchased Americana Decor 8 oz. Chalky finish in blue, to paint over an antique oak chair I picked up at the resale store. I did not want to spend a lot of money on paint and bought the 8oz vintage chalky finish paint as a sample to see what it would look like. I used a small 4 inch paint brush to apply the paint. The paint covered so nice, I had more than enough paint for my project. I was so pleased with how this paint looked with 1 coat. I let it dry for about an hour then, applied a second coat. It covered the wooden chair with ease and the project was completed in a few hours. The paint spread so nice and dried without any streaks or lines in the finish. I bought some fabric and covered the seat to match the beautiful vintage blue color. I love this paint. My chair turned out absolutely beautiful. I will use this paint again. I even have enough paint left to finish another project. I also bought all of the colors for other projects. This paint is a thick consistency and does not drip and run on the item. It cleans up with soap and water.

This paint is a good paint for a great price. I have painted with numerous other chalk paints and it is a good paint but not quite as good as a a couple of the higher priced brands. The wax takes a little getting used to. I would definitely recommend the paint but I'm not sure about the wax

This chalk paint worked well for my project, which was an old door turned hall tree. It may not be the most cost effective or the best chalk paint on the market-but it was the most convenient! It dries quickly and covered well.

Wanted to try this paint for awhile. Had a stand that I wanted to do over , so I thought I would give it a try. First off, a little goes a very long way. I had enough paint in an 8 oz. jar to give the stand three coats, painted two flower pots and still have paint left over. It was so easy to work with also and the clean-up was easy too. A picture is worth a thousand words, so judge for yourself.

I observed my wife using this product on project she recently worked on. We weren't too sure how well this stuff would work, but my wife loves it so much, she plans on purchasing more of it. As you can see in the photo I attached, she coated a wooden letter "J" and later on, glued a collection of pictures after it dried. It was easier than spray painting and achieved the look she wanted. It only took about 30 minutes to dry, and only required 2 coats to get the rich finish. Also a pleasant surprise is a little goes a long way. One could easily use this to coat an entire tabletop if needed. It is true that no sanding or priming is required before application. This chalky paint is perfect for all sorts of crafts, artwork, or projects.

Very easy to use product. My first project was this clock, and I think it turned out great. Many more projects planned.

I tell everyone I come in contact with about this paint! It covers so smoothly. The color is soft and perfect. It is a great product that you can do so much with. I am finding project's just so I can use this paint! I have painted lamps, frames, stools, end and coffee tables, plastic Easter eggs, even a headboard. This paint covers beautifully on everything! I have yet to be disappointed.

I took an old desk and chair and used Americana Decor color carbon to paint them. No scraping or sanding needed. Covered beautifully. Inexpensive but works as well as chalk paints costing 3 times as much.

This color went on very smooth! It was amazing. A little bit went a long way. Cannot wait to use this paint on more DIY crafts

I bought 3 different colors from this collection. I was aiming for a rustic theme which consisted of distressing mason jars after applying this color on them. For this purpose, it worked perfectly. It was a bit more sheer than I expected it to be but I was still very happy with the outcome

The product goes a long way. I gave two hands to my rocking chair and I have used not even 1/3 of the paint. This paint does not require sanding or priming, it dries very fast and beautifully, and doesn't smell. I recommend reading about different techniques to create vintage or modern finishes with it. It is a versatile product with lots of possibilities!

Covered evenly, hardly needed a second coat. Color true to image.

I got this product instead of the Anne Sloans chalk paint, because it was easier to buy and slightly cheaper. The paint was really easy to apply. The wax was easy to apply with a rag, and turned out beautiful. I did my whole china cabinet in one day! That's how easy it was to use!

This was my first experience with chalk paint & I was leery at first, but I love it! It was the easiest paint I've ever worked with! The chalky/matte finish makes it pretty much impossible to mess up with this paint. I experimented a little on scrap pieces until I got the semi-weathered look I was shooting for & then dove into painting a media stand made of untreated lumber. It turned out exactly as I'd hoped! I went one surface at a time, only covering part of the surface with paint and then going back over it with a wet paintbrush. The water helped the paint go farther and thinned it out some so I could go back over it with a damp towel in a few places to remove a little of the paint so the wood grain showed through. I definitely recommend experimenting ahead of time to figure out what kind of finish you want & how to best achieve it. All in all, this paint is fantastic though! I painted this entire stand inside & out with one 8 oz jar & still have a little leftover. This had to be finished before Christmas, so I didn't have time to wait on the Americana Decor Clear Cream Wax to arrive. I'm sure it provides an excellent finish, but I can't attest to that. Instead, I used a very thin coat of water based semi-gloss polyurethane, immediately going back over it with a towel to remove any excess. It was just enough to provide some protection without considerably changing the look of the piece. If you were to use this paint on something like picture frames or something else with little to no surface traffic, I'm not sure that a top coat would be necessary. Bottom line - great paint that's very versatile & fun to experiment with!

This paint is so easy to use,it is almost impossible to make a mistake with it!! Produces a beautiful flat finish, it distressed easily and the final result is wonderful!, all in ONE coat!, I wanted the aged look and I got it effortlessly!, I finished it off with the antique wax and I just love it!!

What I was looking for

Jar was previously opened and leaks were apparent. No inner seal. Also purchased 2 other colors that were new and not opened.

I personally did not like this paint compare to other brands I tried,. I was able to use it once I added it to another paint to get a better less chalky finish also you do have to add water its has a thick consistency like other paints, due to my personal preference I really don't think that I will purchase this brand again.But it may be a paint you would like..
