Great tool worked great. Only thing is it needs a hard case. The soft case that comes with it is just not Enough protection. I’m afraid that the plate will get bent as I have seen this happen.

I just finished a 2,000 SqFoot hardwood deck with hidden fasteners. I used this Plate joiner to slot the tropical hard wood for the hidden fasteners and I held up solid to the task. The blade is still relatively sharp making big chips instead of finer dust.

While reviewing a You tube video on the use of a Dewalt plate joiner, I found out that the adjustment on the bottom of the plate joiner is not level from the factory. I own 5 other Dewalt tools and have had no issues. It is disappointing that I have to go through the process of correcting this issue before I can properly use this product. I was working on a project and now have to buy extra lumber to complete it because I was not aware that the biscuit joint was not level.
