The key is always Cup of water to dip the tip every so many seconds AND a small spray bottle of water with a second person spraying the drill point constantly so not to prematurely wear out the dip. I drilled 16 holes into Porcelain and tile set and have plenty of use left on the tip.

I needed to drill some holes in porcelain tile. It's not easy to get started but once I got started it works pretty well.

Did the job just like it was supposed to. Drilled a hole right through my granite, just took a little patience on my part

Having no prior experience I would say they worked well. Each hole took about 4 to 5 minutes to complete. If they are not kept wet at all times they will dull in a matter of seconds.

I purchased this bit to install a shower door and some wire basket shelving in my shower. The bit cut reasonably quickly and the 'plugs' were easy to eject when I was done. I kept it lubricated with water, so heat build-up was not an issue. I also used it to remove some of the porcelain enamel coating on my shower base so I could drill holes in the cast iron for my shower door. It worked great for that as well.

this drill bit worked as advertised. It cut thru my porcelain tile very well using constant water for irrigation. I made 6 holes and was just as sharp on the first as the last.

it worked as described and worked to perfection

The bit works best if you start the hole with another bit that will allow the diamond bit to fully enter the hole. If you don't then it is very difficult to get the diamond bit to start to exactly drill where you want the hole. Drilling is very slow, as I've seen on the internet, is common on hard tile. The bit will drill a clean hole if you follow the instruction to keep the bit wet. Be patient and don't exert extreme pressure. Let the bit do the work using firm but moderate pressure.

It managed to drill two of the six holes that I needed, and then was worn down. Porcelain tile is more difficult to drill through.

Drill bit worked great. My project was to drill 6 holes thru porcelain wall tile. I wasn’t sure how long these would last so I ordered 3. I used a cordless drill, kept the speed down, used a spray bottle with water as a lubricant and got 5 holes drilled with one diamond drill bit.

Did the job drilling through tile and glass in a jiffy. It made the installation of the glass shower stall a snap!

No assembly needed

We used this bit for drilling through porcelain tile for installing our shower door. The drill bit went through the porcelain like butter. We used a spray bottle filled with water to squirt water into the holes we were drilling to keep the bit cool and prevent it from overheating. That was key in using this bit.

Good value, but after 6 holes in hard porcelain tile it was slowing down a bit.

It was my first time drilling holes in mirrors and this drill bit made it extremely easy.

Drilling on the wall, dry cut, 2 holes and almost wore out. Not sure what brand stands up to the porcelain tile.

DeWalt comes through again.... I had purchased another off-brand bit while trying to install towel bars in porcelain tile...the off-brand bit burnt up/stripped itself of diamond coating before I ever finished the first hole. The DeWalt bit drilled all eight holes effortlessly (as I sprayed it with water to keep it cool like I had tried with the first bit) and will be usable for other projects. Thank you!

after I drill one hole then it doesn't work anymore when I try to make the second one!!
