Seals Home Exterior Gaps, Accepts Paint
Used a number of tubes of this during a recent home exterior painting job to seal gaps and interfaces between trim and roof in hopes of keeping spiders and other critters away. Caulk was easy to work with and smooth by hand after initial application. Airless sprayer painted over and latex paint seems to be adhering well.

Buy a better product
Totally low quality I caulked the same joints like 3 times and the cracks keep coming back, i have used this product on warm temperature inside no problem no cracks sometimes. now on cold weather doing interior work it keeps cracking, and my walls don’t move to crack the caulking because if they where moving all the drywall tape was going to be damaged

DAP ALEX Painter's Caulk (general purpose caulk) is designed for use where low to moderate joint movement is expected. For application where higher joint movement is expected, we would recommend the use of softer/more flexible sealants such as DAP DYNAFLEX 230 or DAP EXTREME STRETCH. Based on your commentary regarding "cracking" during the initial drying phase, it would likely indicate that application site was subject to movement/instability prior to the product reaching full performance and/or that insufficient amount product was applied to the joint. Joints that are prone to experience significant expansion/contraction forces may require higher performance products, such as DAP DYNAFLEX 230 or DYNAFLEX ULTRA. These types of more specialized elastomeric joint sealants offer several times the amount of flexibility offered by DAP Painter’s Acrylic Latex Caulk. Because you did not provide any details regarding your experience, such as application surfaces, bead size, temperature, humidity or any information regarding your application technique, it is difficult to provide you with a more detailed response in this format. this is much better than the Alex Plus that has silicone, because it is much easier to work with ...
this is much better than the Alex Plus that has silicone, because it is much easier to work with and does not shrink. But, in wet conditions, for example in my architectural fence cap, it loses its bond.

After the flood on April 18th, the house was leveled, replaced base flooring with 3/4" treated sheets, replaced insulation, 2 foot of sheet rock, and painted the inside (after caulking the inside with Alex of course). Then in October we had it painted professionally and the painter asked me to buy the Alex outdoor caulking and they used up 46 tubes of Alex on the house, detached garage/carport, and the office with it's porch.

LAUNDRY ROOM RE-CONFIGURED
Total re- model on my home. What a mess. Had popcorn ceilings removed and all trim an baseboards were replaced. Needless to say there was a lot of caulking to be done. Even I was able to use this product with good results as well as the professionals who worked on my house. The pictures below are of a "laundry room re- configuration. Hot water heater was moved outside to the garage which is on the other side of the laundry room wall. Door , Pluming and electrical were relocated to the other side of the laundry room allowing straight through access to the house from the garage. Made the laundry room much more user friendly.
