HD won't let me edit my first review. I wanted to mention the packing in this is rubber, not the original fiber. Since this diverter didn't work for me (it won't divert the full flow) I am going to buy the rebuild kit for my 48 year old stem. And hope for the best. If yours is not rebuildable, buy this. If your's is still okay, you might consider getting the rebuild kit instead. Model #124166 Store SKU #331814

Replaced a 48 year old diverter. The rebuild kit is $6.50, this was $9.50, so went with the replacement. Does not divert the full flow, some water still flows out the faucet when I divert to shower. Not sure what to do now. I may buy the rebuild kit and repair my Made in USA diverter and return this one? I should not have to do this twice! Maybe you will have better luck.

The old one wouldn't stop sending water to the shower head. I feared that the fix would be expensive or complicated, but this cartridge made it easy. Note that the enclosed seat is a distinct size from the other hot & cold valve seats and is not interchangeable.

The water inverter for the shower/tub fixed my problem. I was very pleased with the replacement part.

Diverter in bath/shower barely functioned, desperately needed to replace. Went to two other stores with no luck for necessary part. Home Depot had several on hand. For less than $10 i have a functioning diverter in place!

Perfect match. Original broke after 27 years of service. Simple install and cleanup in about 30 minutes. Store clerk assisted me when in Store and gave advice. Appreciative. Saved plumber costs.
