The bookcase has a nice appearance, appears sturdy but it hasn't been loaded yet, and was fairly easy to assemble. However, one of the shelves arrived with the facing broken off. Customer service readily agreed to ship a new shelf - time will tell how quickly it arrives.

Not worth the price. I purchased two shelves and both had multiple chips on panels and the fascia on some of the shelves needed to be re-glued. The fascia was not attached to the shelf and you could see where it had been glued and nailed- in fact, the nails were still in the fascia. For this price, I shouldn't have to grab a bottle of elmers glue and do repairs on a brand new product.

This was very easy to assemble and I only needed a extra pair of hands for a few minutes. It is a bit dusty as other reviewers have said, but it cleaned up very nicely. There were only two cons. One: The back piece is very flimsy and did not properly align (though I filled my bookcase with DVDs so you can't even tell). Two: If you wanted the shelves perfectly spaced by trying to keep the height the same in between them, it's just not going to happen.

The bookcase is made of particle board, with thin oak veneers. The finish is pretty good overall, as is the assembly hardware. What I struggled with was the back panels for the case. They had a very high-gloss finish, and in order to fit into the shipping box, folded into four sections. Since there is a partition in the center of the bookcase, you'd only be able to fasten the outer and middle seams, leaving the center seams on each half of the bookcase unsecured. I thought that would have looked cheesy, and so I purchased a 4 x 8 sheet of medium oak paneling from Home Depot, cut it to 45" lenght, and then fastened with nails. It looks much better in my opinion, and was certainly worth the additional $30 or so. But overall, for a bookcase that can be assembled at home in short order, and shipped to one's home, it's a pretty good deal.

Not easy to assemble by myself, but assembly instructions did note that a friend was necessary.

We shined it up after it was assembled, and actually could have used something a little larger.... maybe 5 ft x 5 ft... But, worked perfect for what we wanted... a decent, sturdy bookcase for our book collection.

This product has surpassed my expectations!! The unit is very sturdy, the shelves are adjustable, and it looks great in my T.V. Room. The only thing I would change is the assembly directions.... The pieces are not marked, so it was a little hard to follow. Otherwise great product

We found very few bookcases that fit the space we needed, and this one does. The finish looks a little odd, but only if you're looking really intently at it. Otherwise, it's sturdy, good quality, and fits our needs perfectly. I'm so glad we bought it!

It does the job and looks nice. The space between the shelves is quite small if you use all of the shelves. The wood pieces were covered with a dark brown dust that was so thick my hands were completely dirty after assembly. Be sure to clean it before you take it out of the box if you are going to assemble it on carpet if yours seems dusty.
