1. This is my second attempt at a review, as my first one was lost when I was attempting to find out how to attach a video o the strobe light show. Looking at other reviews, the blinking seems to be a common and a very distracting problem. We have to cove the fixture with a dark towel. At this point I don't expect any of these lights to still function close to the 5 yr warranty, or make it to the 32 yrs, 35,000 hours of continuous use. These lights have been on line for only a few months. 2. The light seems cheap, because it is made of plastic. For the price it would be a good value, if these units didn't put on the light show. 3. I mounted these lights above the bar/kitchen counter. If this is the warm, white light, I'd hate to see the bright light. I may try a dimmer to reduce the light intensity. I'd rather have Commercial Electric (CE) try to find a LED that provides a true, warmer light, with 900 lumens. It may be that the fixtures are only about 26 inches or less above the work surface, rather than on the ceiling. I put similar fixtures in 2 of my 3 full bathrooms, and they seem ok so far. 4. The mounting was not as easy as advertised. I worked as an electrician helper to help pay for college, and have installed my share of light fixtures over the years during and after college. 5. I can't recommend this product to others until CE gets rid of the strobe problem. Maybe it depends on the Chinese plant, or what shift the products come off the line. Improved quality control could help solve the problem. 6. Nickel finishes must be in demand, as I can't find the bright brass fixtures that I like. I see a lot of bright brass on other household products, and I'd like to have my light fixtures and ceiling fans available in bright brass when it's time to replace them.

bought this to replace same mode that was 1 1/2 years old. 2nd light quit working after 2 weeks. just exchanged for another. 3rd times a charm ???????

Easy to install

I removed the ceiling fan from my kids room to place a bunk beds and installed this light instead. The room looks great, better than I expected.

Easy to install, throws off lots of light, could be cheaper in price since in is all plastic including the globe so do NOT drop it !!! Need to make this unit with a BRASS base finish !!!!!!!

Easy to install, works very good even lighting in area it covers

These LCD lights work very well for a couple years. Then I have had three out of 6 I have purchased come down with fickeritiz which is a very annoying flicker that only stops when you hit the light switch. It continues moments after you turn the switch back on. I purchased these to save money on electricity. They state on the outside carton that they a good for 50,000 hours of continuous use. That boil down to 6 years of continuous use. Sure wouldn't save any money if we have to leave them on all the time!

light starts to strobe on/off after a while... replacing the 2nd one now warranty is only good if you register it
