The most difficult part of the installation was discovering that both ends of the orange quick connector ship together inside the light. I looked all over the store thinking that I needed the other half of some nifty proprietary thing. The only other thing that I did different was loop an index card over the orange connector and wires so they do not show on the inside of the light.

Light seems fine. Daylight led output is nice. Worst connector I’ve ever seen. I do my own electric work, but Joe or sally homeowner doesn’t know L1 L2 (which is how the connector is labeled). The spring inside the connector fails to return. And thus, once you try and compress a wire, it came come right out!!! It’s dangerous in my opinion. Cheap cheap cheap metal! Pics don’t lie. I had to remove the connector and wire normally (with wire nuts (hence 2 stars instead of 1).

Installed in small pantry. Attached to ceiling with 3rd part drywall anchors. Did not use supplied shoulderless anchors. Unit installed without issue on ceiling using the 4 predrilled slotted holes. Happy to see a connectorized electrical interface. BUT, the connector ends did not pass the pull test. House wiring was 14 AWG solid. I cut off the connector and used wire nuts. Customer is happy with light. Installer not happy with connector.

I installed 6 of these when we built our house 5 years ago. 1 went out about a year ago and another has just went out. They work fine, but begin to flicker. After about 2 weeks, they will go out all completely and will have to be replaced. Replacing with a different brand.

I installed this in my garage but finding a junction box that worked took me a minute. The round ones at home depot did not work because when you screw in the light, it's not parallel with the beam the junction box is attached to! What worked for me was this: 4 in. Easy to install and illuminates a very bright LED light. Paired with a dimmer switch, works awesome

Awesome performance - I replaced my 5 florescent shoplights and what a difference in coverage and brightness. Don't buy these if you don't have electrical boxes already in your ceiling - buy the hanging ones with the power cord. Installation is straightforward and easy.

Im writing this review so that you folks out there will have another installation option. Everybody who mentioned how they mount only mention the knock outs on the metal channel that contacts the ceiling. In my installation i do not have the ability to run power to these lights due to the panels that make up the clean rooms where we have them installed. I have attached all of the fixtures to conduit thru the end of the fixture. If you use a 7/8” holesaw you can simply drill a hole in the center of the end cap and attach a 1/2” emt connector to the light, hang the light wherever you desire and then run your conduit. The same process could be used with BX cable and fittings

It is a great led light! Much lighter weight than the traditional similar fixture. I only wish Home Depot stocked it in the soft white. It's very bright.

DIY'er I replaced 4 T12's 4' in our garage. The lights are very bright and come on quickly. This is my first product review but if I could I would probably give a 4.5 rating. Reason being the electric box holes don't line up to the middle of the light fixture so in two of the fixtures I reused the extended wires. KEY note: the fixtures were placed in the same position as the T12's. The issue is there is not an easy way to hide the wires along the side of the light. You can see in the pictures I tried duct tape as a short term solution and with the humidity obviously that won't last long. So I will need come up with a longer term solution. Also for some reason the previous the owner put up a popcorn ceiling in the garage and you can see where light comes out in a couple of spots. Probably a poor installation on my part. Love the lights, going to keep them and would recommend to others. Owned for 3 months.

Four of these fixtures turned the daylight on in my garage.

This fixture really lights up my garage. It produces 4000K of white light perfect for doing odd jobs. I replaced an existing fluorescent fixture, then decided to add another, for equal light distribution. The only thing I don't like, the terminations hang down onto the lens. The manufacture should have provided a cover. I happened to have white duct tape on hand that covered them up.

This linear LED wraparound is a high-quality manufactured item. From the time I removed it from the box until it was illuminating my shop I could tell it was of awesome quality. The thickness of the steel housing to the powder coat paint job. It was easy to install and I attached an electrical cord with in-line switch. I hung it over my workbench and the light output is awesome.

This is a really bright light at 4000 lumens. It is feather light and easy to install. Perfect replacement for the old florescent fixtures and gives of more light. Perfect for garage or laundry room. It is also priced well!

Building a new home with a boat/RV garage 65X20. Wanted to make sure I had plenty of light. I installed 9 Commercial Electric 48 in. 4,000-Lumen White Integrated LED Wraparound fixtures. I am very pleased with the amount of light I will recommend this product for performance and price.

I bought two of these, and I am satisfied with the final result, but my installation didn't go as easily as others'. First the way the original junction boxes were installed prevented me from using the mounting holes at the center of the fixture because it would not have been the right orientation. No fault of Home Depot, but that meant I had to use the "Keyhole Installation" method and drill holes in the garage ceiling drywall to mount the fixture, which turned it into a two-person job because I needed someone to help me get the orientation right. Not a huge deal, but it did add some time. The first unit had an issue where it would work intermittently after I had installed it. I took it down and did a bench test and it worked ok, so I didn't return it. I eventually tracked this down to a problem with the power side of the quick connector. The black wire would not maintain a consistent contact as it was too loose. I called the customer service # and was told I should instead use wire nuts to connect the fixture to the electrical wires, which I did. That solved that problem. I did not encounter the same problem with the second unit - the quick connectors worked fine. I do appreciate (and followed) "Skyrunner's" comments about taping off the various holes in cutouts in the sheet metal to reduced the glare coming out of the fixture. It does improve the fit and finish of the installation.

Hard to believe what $39.97 plus tax will get you these days - amazing. The slight curve to the lens gives it a little more modern look compared to just a big flat rectangle. Marked studs (joist) with stud detector. My joists were on 19 and 3/16" which is marked with little diamonds on my tape measure. The mounting holes seemed to be for 16" wall studs I suspect. Therefore, I drilled 2 new holes into the light so I could screw right into the joists. That was about a 5 minute delay. No biggie. Quick connect (provided) for the neutral (white) and hot (black) wires made for a fast hookup - strip ~1/2" and insert. Done! (Tip: If you are the type to not read directions you do need to snap the quick connect together beforehand to note which hole is for the black wire because it is not marked on the connector itself. I used a sharpie to mark the black side.) Wirenut (also provided) for the ground wire added about 12 more seconds. However, despite the quick twist I question why they didn't just make it a 3-wire quick connect. Again no biggie. Popped the lens cover back on and flipped the switch. Super happy! All and all a great light which is super bright. I installed it in my weight room and when doing sit-ups it's like looking at the sun! Oh, one final note/tip. Nighttime rolled around and when I turned the thing on there was quite a bit of light sneaking out next to the ceiling. I did not like that because it looked like a poor installation. Popped the cover back off and undid the 4 screws. I then stuck some tape over all the installation holes I did not use. I even taped over the knock-outs that I did not knock out or use because they had little gaps that you can see through. Screwed the thing back up and flipped it on again. Perfect! Now I am even happier! Point being is that for a more finished look I recommend taping over all the holes before you install it so you can skip the do-over. In closing, despite having to cover up some holes on the backside to prevent light bleeding through I am still giving this thing a very high rating because again I just can't believe what you get for such a small amount of money...

A family member installed these in my basement about 4 years ago and didn't bother to tell me there was no bulb replacement. It lit up the entire space really well, but apparently LEDs don't last as long as advertised. One light started blinking so I'll have to remove the entire hardwired fixture and replace it. Would be great if the dumb thing would just go out entirely instead of blinking. So annoying. I'll be replacing it with a fixture with replaceable bulbs.

The sleek styling was spot on, while the light output was excellent. The instruction booklet was easy to understand and the installation was straight forward.

It seems like a good quality light. It's bright. I took off 1 star because the punch outs are only on the back which is okay if you are mounting the light right over an electrical box, but it would be nice to have a couple punch outs on the sides.
