The Commercial Electric - Commercial Electric 18 ft. Matte Black Swag Light Kit is the perfect idea for installing a light fixture anywhere in the house. We wanted to put a light fixture in the middle of our family room but we did not want to go into the attic to rework the electrical outlets so we used the swag light kit to improvise! It is the perfect length and it comes with all of the hardware you will need.

I've bought these swag kits before, although not a black one. I love the convenience of being able to take any chain-based hardwired fixture, and convert it to a hanging lamp, that I can put anywhere I want without involving an electrician. These are great little, all-in-one kits, that make it very easy to do. And if you do your research, they're a pretty good value, comparatively. I especially appreciate that they include an inline cord switch that's already pre-installed…...nice. Note: I do wish they would include at least one quick-clip chain link for easier installation.

This is an 18 in 18 ft scuse me swag light kit 18 ft chain 20 foot of wire it has some toggles and a switch on it for turning it on and off and please make sure to follow all state and local codes when installing this everything's done right looks like she'll support about 15 lb of Weights which is way more than anybody ever need and you shouldn't be hanging anything off of it anyways made to put power to a light or a fan in a room where there is no fixture I would recommend it to anybody looking for a swag light kit

This Commercial Electric 18 foot swag light kit is pretty clever. What I've always wanted, everything in one package. This swag kit comes with hooks, wire connectors, 18 foot chain, 20 feet of chord, cord switch and plug, 1 loop with fitting to attach to canopy and instructions in English and Spanish. Easy to follow instructions guide you through the simple process of connecting the wire and feeding chain to hang your light or ceiling fan. For ceiling fans, make sure you don't 'swag' the chain inside the fan radius or the fan blades will hit it when you turn it on. Made in China.

These swag kits are awesome. Everything is included except the light and if you like an online switch or smart outlet or bulb. Swag lighting is hard to find and adds a certain rustic elegance I love. I have an old house. All of my ceiling fixtures have fan lights. For reading or over a table it's just not enough light. I can transform any light with these kits and place them wherever I want light.

We live in a mid-80's condo with concrete ceilings, so there are no studs or joists. Except for where the builder dropped the ceiling and built bulkheads for recessed lighting, the majority of our lighting comes from table or floor lamps. I wanted to add a matte black 5-light chandelier fixture to our dining room, and this swag light kit fit the bill. I will have to purchase concrete anchors and screws, because this kit only provides drywall anchors, but the purchase will add negligible cost.

I am using this kit to move a hanging light from the center of my dining room to off center above the table. The kit includes about 20 feet of lamp wire (one end has a plug and an inline switch, the other is bare wire), 2 sections of chain- a 15 foot section and a 3 foot section, and a mounting kit. The chain is a little lighter duty than I expected, but I think it will work out fine.

I used this swag kit to convert an old ceiling light into a plug-in swag lamp. The only tool I used was a pair of pliers to remove the old canopy from the light fixture and to tighten the nut that holds the chain loop onto the fixture. This was a fun and easy project. I also replaced the light sockets (purchased separately) for safety, because this fixture is so old. I love my new swag light- the kit was exactly what I needed!

I chose the Commercial Electric 18 ft. Matte Black Swag Light Kit to convert a rattan type ceiling light fixture I chose a few months back. It will work perfectly in my 3 season room that has roofing panels that are solid so the only option is surface mount or swagged down to an outlet. I like that the kit has everything you need to convert almost any ceiling mount light fixture. The two only thing that would be nicer would be to, not have the toggle switch already on the cord and not to have the plug on the end so you can shorten the cord after making all final adjustments on the swag.

The only downside is the placement of the switch. I would have preferred to have placed it myself in the sequence on the chain farther up, as to not have the switch on the floor

Purchased this product to make my own swinging lamp. Worked perfectly. My only complaint would be that the built in on/off switch on the cord is positioned in a weird location. I have not measured it but I would put the switch at about 6 feet from the plug on an 18 foot long cord.

This kit had everything and more to swag an antique light fixture I rebuilt. Plenty of chain and lamp cord. Lots of accessories to swag it your way.

I used the hooks and cord to make a hanging desk lamp with a copper chain i already had. i works very well and the description of what is in the kit is spot on.

The cord in the kit didn't work! Don't buy cords with the rolling switch on them. It worked for 1 sec and wouldn't again. Rest of kit was nice. My husband ended up using a cord off a different light at our house and it worked out.

I am in a rental home with no ceiling lights anywhere in the house. So, I purchased a ceiling fan with lights and this swag kit. The swag kit was easy to attach to the fan. The hooks were included to keep the cord from interfering with the blades. Obviously, you can see the cord running across the ceiling, but it doesn't look bad at all.

It was beautiful, had plenty of length, and came with all the fittings needed.

Exactly as advertised

I have to return this product, it is missing the swag hook and only has 3’ of chain. My wife is extremely disappointed because I have limited time to work on our home and buying something someone obviously returned after stealing the parts is very frustrating
