This is by far the best plywood I've ever used. Built a tractor bed with it. I ordered 2 2x8 panels primed and they arrive in 24 hours; very well packaged, no damage and I had zero prep. Cut smoothly with a 60 tooth blade and painted right over the primer. Could not be more satisfied.

I bought these panels for a custom bookshelf project for one of my clients. They were hardly "Pre-primed". When I purchase other lumber products that have been pre-primed, you can't see the wood grain through the primer. I still had to do four layers of paint OVER the primer. Also, the primer does not go over the edges, which were all dinged up on each side. Of the five sheets that I purchased, all of them needed to be wood filled. Save your self some money and buy full sanded sheets. '

        Very straight, strong wood
I used this wood to build a high end looking linen cabinet. We used the 3/4 inch thickness for the sides, both for support and good looks. It's very very smooth, very straight and strong piece of wood. It cut nicely with a sharp blade and the pre primed surface took the paint very nicely. I also used this same wood in the 1/2" thickness for the shelves, and they came out beautiful. I would highly recommend this wood for fine woodworking projects.

Quality Plywood with a Valuable Prime
I'm building numerous base and wall cabinets for my garage workshop project. I've got about 28 feet of wall space at nine feet high, so about 14 cabinets each of base (34 inches high) and wall (48 inches high), about two feet wide each. I was doing two coats of primer and one coat of white. I tried some of this pre-primed plywood. This is really a HUGE time-saver. Any plywood with a veneer really soaks up any kind of finish, so having one coat already done was perfect. Also, I think the primer helps in the cuts, as I wasn't getting near as much tear-out. I'm using good tools and techniques, so I was surprised I was getting better results. I'll definitely be using this in the future.

        Quality wood for projects
I wanted a finish quality wood for a small home project. The panel is solidly constructed with a fine smooth finish. It has good color and grain dispersion. I did not use a stain or a finish on my panel but I think with the quality it would stain well. It is more economical to buy a full sheet but I have found for smaller projects that it is less effort and prep time to use smaller panel rather cutting down a large panel.

        My favorite brand of plywood
I am a huge fan of this plywood and have used several different types of it (see my reviews). The plys are very thick. As with all of the other species I have used no plugs on either face. Both faces were primed well. This saves a ton of time. The primer held up OK to sawing, but I did tape the cut lines. I've never used pre-primed ply before, but I'm not going back. When I am going to be painting something, I'm getting the pre-primed. This was a huge time saver I am always a little nervous about getting sheet goods shipped, but it comes sufficiently packaged can can withstand even the most zealous of delivery drivers. The piece is also dead flat. Not even a tiny little bit crown or twist across the entire length. I'm really glad home depot carries true hardwood furniture grade plywood. Finding a reputable supplier can be difficult when not buying in bulk. I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone

        High End Shelving
As the description says it is pre-primed, but it's not glossy smooth thou. You will have determine how this wood will be used. That will help guide you on any sanding requirements you deem necessary to fit the intended use . If your not sure on the grit sandpaper you need to get the finish you want , get several different one's. Start with say a 200 (fine) grit, on a small area, and work down to heavier size until you get the finish you want. Also you get a full 3/4" x 24" x 48" piece. This is 5 layers thick and this piece weights about 14 lbs. I have only used half of this so far, first I cut it long ways so I had 2 pieces 1ft. x 4ft. I took 1/2 and cut it longs ways again so I had 2 pieces 6 inches by 4 ft. which turned into 4-18" x 6" pieces and 2-12" x 4" pieces. And I have only used half of the board. Yes this is classified as plywood , but to look at the finished pieces, who would know this is not a solid piece of wood. The last thing : Brackets. The choices are endless . Have fun.

        Perfect as a table top
This PrePrimed Poplar Plywood became the table top in my crafts studio and turns out to be absolutely perfect for the intended use. It has just the right dimensions, so there was no additional cutting necessary, it came out of the box and directly to the top of the table. I did not even have to paint it, which again makes this a great time saving investment. The thickness of the plywood makes it sturdy enough for any of the tasks I will perform on it. Great item!

        Sturdy
I chose this poplar pre-primed wood to use for making shelves for my daughter's closet. I need something sturdy that could handle some weight and wouldn't warp over time. Of course I won't know for sure about warpage until maybe 6 months or so from now. I can say that this is a heavy peace of plywood. Poplar plywood is great choice for shelving because it has extremely uniform resistance which increases with subsequent layering and thickness. It's also does not contract, swell, or warp. Plus plywood in general has non-tearing properties which means it can be nailed or screwed near the edges with out splitting. OK, enough science talk. I started to cut mine with my circular saw but the blade was dull so I didn't get too far. It cuts cleanly, but don't even try it without a sharp blade because this thickness is so tough. My blade would actually bog down and stop. This was my first time cutting with a circular. It was a a hand-medown, so the blade is most likely dull. Of course you can make it easy on yourself and bring it into the store with your measurements and they will be glad to cut it for you. I'm going to go do that and get 2 more boards. I like that this is primed and ready for me to add a coat of high quality durable paint. It's so sturdy, my daughter could probably climb up on it and there wouldn't be an issue. You could make a table out of this, or furniture or what ever. It's really high quality and solid. So glad I went with this.

perfect size and weight for my project
Got this to use as a ramp up to a low deck on the side of the house. Just wide enough for trash bins to roll up and down, and just long enough to make a good slope. The primer gives a little bit rough surface, so will sand it before the final painting, but that's no big deal. Very sturdy sheet.
