Wonderful Door but I Pick Nits
Great door. Quiet, secure, sturdy. Minir gripe: tgere is a horizontal grain pattern repeat approx. every two feet. They avoid direct vertical repeat by placing it on a bias. Most would not notice, but I work wood when I can. They do, however, nail grain direction very well.

QUALITY BUILT DOORS
This is the 3rd time i am using Clopays Door in my homes. Very well constructed ,the hardware is very good. Paint finish is top notch. Also customer service is very helpful.

Beautiful Wood-look doors
Love our new garage doors. We got the Walnut wood finish - they really look like wood from the street and are really beautiful. Windows let in lots of light. Very pleased with the installation. Our garage is detached from the house, so we really weren't overly concerned with the R-Value and went with the lowest to save some dollars. Very happy with these doors and wood recommend if you are trying to get that wood look without the maintenance.

Best Door Ever!

Rusted Hardware.... I have these doors for approximately 2 years and the decorative hardware rust...
Rusted Hardware.... I have these doors for approximately 2 years and the decorative hardware rusted!!! I was told by Clopay that I had to remove all hardware and refinish myself... Ridiculous, these doors are expensive and I should not be worrying about refinishing the hardware after 2 years!! Rust is dripping down my doors and it looks terrible! Clopay's customer service is poor and I would never buy another door from them and I would not recommend them at all! I am sorry I purchased them.

Decorative hardware is not covered under warranty, but please be advised proper maintenance and cleaning are key to your door's operation and to help prevent rust. This is particularly important in high salt or acidic environments but be careful not to get wax on decorative hardware as this may cause discoloration. Although aesthetically pleasing, the construction is fragile and flimsy especially with an automatic door opener. It snapped and broke the windows in the top panel with a replacement cost of $630. Do research for other manufacturers.

Thank you for contacting us. Our Installation & Maintenance Manual provides instructions on how to reinforce the top section for attaching a garage door opener. Depending on the Clopay garage door model and garage door size, a horizontal reinforcement might also be required along with an opener reinforcement bracket. The bracket that comes with an opener cannot be used with a Clopay garage door as it would void the warranty. Love my new door
What a difference this new door made. My house is old and I wanted something that closely matched the old door that was installed in 1940, plus I finally installed an automatic opener. I love everything about this door except for the window pane inserts. They're flimsy plastic and fortunately I was able to just pop them out. Now the glass can be easily cleaned, the door looks just as good, and I'm happy. (The photo shows the door before I removed the inserts.)

What a difference a new door makes.
We purchased a Gallery collection door and we're extremely happy with the look and feel of the door. Fantastic upgrade from the original the had no insulation and was noisy. This one is so quiet and with the 2" polystyrene I noticed the temperature in the garage has improved.
We've received many compliments on the door and it really made a tremendous visual impact to the look of my house. I expected the door to be nice, but I didn't expect it to make such a nice difference and I highly recommend this Clopay door to anyone looking to upgrade.

Thrilled

Well constructed

Garage Door
Very disappointed that the price has been discounted by over $250 since I purchased three months ago. Overall the door looks beautiful from a distance and we get many compliments, but this likely has to do with our stone front and arched doorway. The grills on the glass are low quality and we did not receive the decorative handle as we anticipated.

Great new look at a good price

Hardware is junk!
Three professionals gave estimates. All three said springs are laughable for a 299 lb door and will break after a few years at best. I spoke with customer support they stood by their warranty, which isn't saying much since the hardware will go out after a few years. Hardware was non refundable btw not just the springs.... Door looks nice, but this company and it's customer support are horrible! Buy through installer cut out the junk and get the right price the first time.

Window Grills Break-No Replacements
After 5 years the window grills are breaking from the weather and Clopay offers no replacements. The windows have now been redesigned and they stopped making those grills. The cost to replace the 4 frames with their new grills-$1000.

Love it! Wish we installed this new door years ago
We are extremely pleased with the new track with quiet rubber rollers that came with the door, a marked improvement from what was replaced. The door color and clear double pane windows are handsome and have clean lines that improve the garage appearance and modernize the look. In addition to the smooth door operation, we now have much more natural light in the garage space.

Great Quality-Logistics Issues
The doors are beautiful and the installers were great. Only complaint is the amount of time from fabrication to installation. There were issues with availability of door opener, etc. and logistics. Good experience over all.
