Assembling this grill took me an hour and a half. Just had an issue with the bottom part. The bottom part grill was not aligned in the middle. I have to bend it a bit to make it work. Grilling at a high temperature is awesome. Smoking is a bit challenging since it can get away with you temp wise easily. When I opened the air control to 1 inch top and bottom, the inside temp shot up to 500 degrees and burned my salmon. The trick is to just open the bottom and top vent half and an inch if you want a temp of 200-225 degrees if you are smoking. I suggest you closely watch it for the first couple of times till you get familiar with it. Either than that it's really an awesome grill for the price. I highly recommend it!!

Don't put together with your husband. Pay and get it put together at store.

I've had this grill since March 6, 2020 and love it. It uses almost no charcoal, is easy to light, and stays clean. The only problem I've had is that the cart legs are flimsy and keep falling off. After the last windstorm the rear one is missing. If I find it I will find a way to fasten them on.

You can grill anything on this grill. you can do steaks or slow/cook or smoke.

Purchased the Akorn after a lot of research. My last grill was a Smokin Pro that lasted 15+ years, so I knew I was staying with Char-Griller. Assembly was simple and straight forward. The Akorn is very well designed and solidly built with some great features( removable ash pan is something I've never seen on a kamado and works great!). Cooked spatchcock chicken and it was juicy and delicious. Smoked 2 Boston Butts this weekend on a 12 hour cook that used less than a 1/4 of the amount of charcoal I normally use. Only con is there are some small air leaks around the lower vent that I would like to see better sealed from the factory. Took me about 20 minutes and some heat resistant felt, so I guess I am nit picking a little! All together, a great grill as good or better than some ceramic komados costing 3 times as much!

Very nice grill. Doesn’t use as much charcoal as standard grill. The only complaint I would have is they should include a guide on how to adjust the dampers for heat control but I found a chart online pretty quickly. Love the grill though

Very cheap quality on the inside... definetely not what advertised

I was looking for the next grill. I have always been a pure "W" brand guy and only Charcoal or Lump. I'm super happy with this puppy. Using only lump, fuel management is awesome. Learn your temp management in a few of the videos on line. I did season the Grate with used Bacon grease just like a Cast Iron skillet. Had our Thanksgiving Turkey come out amazing. Lots of features and benefits in this model. Recommend a buddy to help assemble. Good instructions no fit or finish issues. Great value! I recommend

I never got to use the grill before having to return it. A bolt broke when attaching the dome and sent me a new one in the wrong color and then a broken one. So I returned it. Looks like it would have been a good unit but I upgraded to the Kamado joe
