We installed the hood 2 weeks ago and are very pleased with the performance and the looks. We pan fried salmon (which I thought was the ultimate test) and it worked like a charm.. There was no salmon smell what so ever. I there is a couple of things I could change, it would be the lights (change it to LED) and the switch (Digital switches instead of the knobs).

I have had this vent hood since 2011, well it have a very slick and elegant design , I was and still is disappointed with the ventilation system, it not that very powerful in deceasing most of the food smell when I'm cooking or ever after cooking, I find myself using my blue air purifier to supplement .

My wife and I love to cook. unfortunatelly, the small unit tha our microwave had was not strong enoug to pull the smell and our home became overwhelmed with the smell. I like it as i cooked but not an hour after we finished our prep. This is no longer the case. This is strong enough to pull all of the fumes and leave the house odorless. It looks great and the fan is quiet for the power that it has.

Equipped my new kitchen with all GE Café Series appliances. Glad I elected to get this hood instead of the over the range microwave. The exhaust speeds are amazing. Adds that final touch to the kitchen!

I love the commercial looks of this hood, canopy hoods are my favorite and look great in the kitchen. however before you buy here are things to consider. extremely sharp edges everywhere no removable grease trap under the filters outdated lights low speed performance very low if it's looks get this unit, if it's functionality look someplace else

Beautiful and effective at eliminating odors and heat from cooking

Previously the kitchen had no vent and would often fill with smoke. After installing this hood the problem was gone. We can now cook without setting off the smoke detector and it also helps control grease splatter. A bit on the pricey side but well worth it

The vent works beautifully. Extracts all the cooking smell from the kitchen. Love the bright light it provides to the cooking surface.

The features are wonderful. The vent is very quiet. It has industrial like filters that you can remove and wash!

The fan has several speeds and is relatively quite and it has good lighting.

I can said this is the best hood I could purchase. I have this for about 8 months and it great removing odor of food. The only thing is started to make a little noise on slow speed, but the rest I definitely highly recommend.

We receive many compliments on our range hood. It's paired with the GE Cafe series cooktop and it's very sharp looking! Something happened during installation and one of the lights flickers intermittently, however the GE repair man was wonderful!

not just for looks but actually serves a purpose and works entirely better than expected!

I BOUGHT A MONTH AGO BUT WAS INSTALLED TWO WEEKS AGO, TAKE OUT ALL ODOR OF FOOD SPICES. IT IS VERY STRONG AND NOISE BUT OTHER WAYS IS PERFECT NO COMPLAIN AT PRESENT. LOOK VERY STYLE (FANCY).THE ONLY THINK WAS DID NOT BRING THE TOP PART BUT MY FRIEND MAKE GREAT JOB WENT INSTALLED.

I purchased. The hood to go with my GE Cafe Seried Dual Range. I needed a strong vent because I have an open floor plan in my home. I wish that the sleeve was part of the vent because we had to purchase that separately. As far as the vent, it is strong and the lighting is great, both of which has many different settings.

This hood performs like any professional style residential model. Very powerful yet somewhat quiet. The lighting features are a nice touch.

Bought this range as a package upgrade of kitchen remodel. Love the lay out. Everything operates great. Only short fall would be lack of optional control on upper oven which gets 90% of use.lower oven has all the options

I have used this hood for about a year. It works well, looks great, and is easy to keep clean. I was a little pricey, but it has proven to be good quality.

Looks great in our kitchen and performs perfectly. The oven saves time on baking and the gas range is fast too. This oven bakes better than any pizzeria or local bakery.

This is the quietest and most attractive range hood for our new kitchen. The Café model matches all the other appliances.

Brought this range hood for my kitchen remodelling last week.Great performance,professional looking style with my other GE cafe appliances.My kitchen is looking modern and classy.The only regret is it look a month to get the chimney extension cover delivered and was frustrating.Quiet,stylish and rich look.

I bought this range hood for out kitchen remodel and it has taken over 1 month to get the correct parts for the installation.  First of all the installation instructions are very vague and there is not nearly enough detail.  For instance, when you see the parts provided it shows the filters, a package of screws, damper and filter support.  The package of screws contains numerous different types of screws but yet when the reading the directions it only says "use the included screws" but does not specify the EXACT screws to use and if you use the wrong ones it will come back to get you in a later portion of the installation.  My unit also did not include the filter support so they had to send me a new one.  For the amount of money I paid for this I thought a little more effort could have gone into the instructions.  I wish had not purchased the range and dishwasher already so that I could go with a completely different brand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The vent will pull out the worst of smoke... when boiling large pots of past and the windows steam because you forgot to turn on the vent, don't worry... turn it on and the windows will un fog in a few minutes. This vent is a perfect compliment to our Cafe oven.
