We wanted to upgrade our home and starting with the kitchen we addressed to cabinets. We had Oak with a light lacquer finish which had aged badly due to wet hands and sunlight. I removed all the doors and hardware and sanded both inside and outside, not all the way down to the wood but enough the smooth everything out. The raised small features were brushed and the balance of the doors were rolled. I used a 3" roller and a 1" wide tapered brush, all surfaced were given (2) coats. You could call this paint but really it is a high tech coating. It really pulls down, lays flat, cures hard as nails with a perfect satin finish. Your local Home Depot will gladly tint the base coat to your desired color for free.

Great cover
I've used this product before on kitchen cabinets, this time on unfinished cabinets, took 2 coats on five base cabinets. I used two 1qt cans using a foam brush, and they look great!

Great paint
This paint is great, I used it for a new pine cabinet and it looks perfect like store bought.
I used a foam roller for some of it and sprayed some. had to thin for spraying but still got great results.
Paint seems tuff I guess time will tell, I know I will be using this again.
Looks high end.

Good product, nice hard finish
I was painting dark stained Knotty pine kitchen cabinets and I want something other than semigloss latex. A local paint store recommended this product. I did four coats - Bin to cover the knots, a good Ben Moore latex primer, and two coat of Cabinet Coat. It does dry quickly but don't go back to touch up dry spots or finish will be raised. Better to let it dry completely and re-coat entire surface. Finish is a hard, durable satin finish somewhat like a factory finish, great for kitchen and bath. It goes a long way. It took only a little over a quart to do 2 coats on my kitchen cabinets and a bathroom vanity.Unless you have a really big job, I would start with a quart.

Applies nicely
It comes with great instructions and tips. I ordered this for an antique secretary, but it didn't give me the gloss I wanted so I opted for a semi-gloss for this project instead. I still would recommend and I will use this for future projects [thinking of doing actual kitchen cabinets in spring]. I also recommend using a primer first + more than one coat if painting over wood tones. This paint has a very light sheen, applies evenly and is easy to work with/clean up and drying time isn't too fast or too slow, but this definitely meant for actual kitchen cabinets or melamine where a lower sheen level would be appropriate.

Good outcome
I used this on an oak bathroom vanity. Prepped by using joint compound to reduce the grainy look, sanded, primed with a couple coats of primer, sanded between coats, then used 2 coats of white paint. Looks super and you have to get up very close and look hard for any of the wood marks. It came out smooth and professional looking. I had just enough left to do a little storage cabinet that was more of a vanilla color and it worked well on that laminate finish as well. Wish it were available in stores - had to wait 3 days for the store to get it from the day it was delivered to when it got to the pick up location.

Works Great
Easy to use, when wet looks like it would leave streaks, but dries smooth.

Great Paint
The key to using this paint is a high quality paint brush, If you use a cheap brush, it'll show. I used this cabinet paint for a durable finish on furniture.

Very thick, maybe a bad lot
I bought this paint based on the positive reviews here. My first use of this paint is to refinish an old kitchen range hood. I end up with brush stroke unless I apply it in very thick coats and then I can't control the running/dripping. Another reviewer said this paint is very thin but my lot is thick like syrup. I've followed the instruction to a T.
In one place the instructions say 'do not thin' but then contradict that advice for spray applications saying, 'thin with up to 8 ounces water per gallon.' So I think I'll try thinning it with water. I have nothing to lose because I'm getting nowhere with this product the way it is. It seems a good enamel otherwise.

Excellent paint enamel
We've been remodeling for awhile now and installed new treads on our stairs. I wanted the contrast of white risers with medium toned treads, but was concerned about marks on the risers from shoes, etc. After doing some research online, I came across a recommendation for this enamel paint.
Its a durable enamel with a nice smoothing action - little to no brush marks. It's not as white as I would have liked - all of the trim in my home is bright white - but against the risers, the contrast is very nice. It is durable and wipes clean easily. It's also been easy to touch - up. I had a couple of places where I needed to go back and touch up some spots, and even though the base coast was well dried (and I didn't want to repaint the whole riser), the touch up flattened out and you can only notice if you're down looking at it from a slight angle. You'd never notice it just walking up and down the stairs.
It dried well in a reasonable time. Very pleased with it.

Cabinet coat
I've used this paint for a few years now.
All the trim and cupboards in my upstairs were painted
with this 6 years ago. This stuff wears like iron --if
you prep your surface properly and use high quality brushes. Clean and lightly sand .
The finish is as if you've sprayed with an oil enamel.
The paint is thin and there is a learning curve. Read
and FOLLOW the instructions carefully. It dries to the touch quickly and you can't back brush into it after a minute or so. If you see a drip, then you you just have to sand it out when dry.
I won't use any other paint for my trim or cupboards.

Nice paint!
Painted my bathroom cabinets, It took 3 coats to cover. Didn't prime the surface but did lightly sand. Maybe it would have done better with a primer. I did scratch some paint off when putting the cabinets back on. So I hope in the long run it doesn't scratch that easily.

Best paint EVER!
Got this paint to do window and door trim as it was highly recommended by a relative. Results are beautiful...easy to work with, flows on and levels nicely, and has just the right amount of sheen to match our new windows and patio door. Will use next on our interior door frames which are metal. I am hoping it will adhere well enough to metal and be durable. Just wish it was sold in stores so more people (including me) could have quick access to it.

Great product! Benjamin Moore has done it again
Used this to paint 3 antique doors that had been varnished in the past. They came out GREAT! Smooth texture as if they had been sprayed.I did need more coats than expected but a quart did 3 doors. Love it...would use again.

Makes painting cabinets easy!
I painted melamine kitchen cabinets that were old and very dingy. This product allowed me to only have to very lightly sand them and paint with a foam roller. I have had many compliments on how professional they look. I highly recommend this to save time even though it was a little expensive for a quart.

Cabinet paint
This paint was used to change the color of our laundry room cabinets, and this product does everything it promises. My husband found the paint easy to use and the cabinets look like new. We are very pleased and have already recommended the paint to a family member.
