Works great and a good deal

It is what I needed at a good price, and prompt delivery.

These are easy to install to control my gas fireplace, but I have to replace them about once a year because something inside fails and I have to flip the temperature control back and forth multiple times to get the flames to kick on. I'm going to be screwed when Honeywell decides to go all "smart thermostats" and stops making these dinosaurs.

Works perfect in my camper.

I installed a garage heater and connected it to this thermostat. It worked great for 2 weeks until one day my garage heater failed to ignite. I ran a bunch of tests on the heater but could not for the life of me figure out what was wrong, so I paid for an HVAC technician to come check it out. After running a bunch of tests, he finally found that the thermostat was the problem. It was mysterious because it did still cause the heater to call for heat, but failed when going to ignite. This was confirmed by successfully running it with a functional thermostat. All in all, I was disappointed to spend a good amount of time and money investigating this to find the thermostat was the problem (though I welcomed the cheaper fix). I may not be the best at troubleshooting, but I expect a thermostat to last longer than 2 weeks. I bet this is a rare occurrence for this model, but it did make for an unpleasant experience for me.

It was exactly what I was looking for, and needed. I had an older mercury thermostat that ran the heater in my garage, it didn’t have an on / off option and the lowest temp setting was around 55°. This one allows me to turn the unit off or keep it on a lower temp so it doesn’t run as frequently, but runs enough to keep it comfortable.

Excellent low voltage thermostat for the garage. Low temperature range is nice. Can have it just above freezing at the lowest setting, or crank it up a bit for a nice and cozy garage.

Perfect thermostat for use with a garage heater! Allows a much lower minimum setting point. Highly recommend!

It’s a simple 24 volt thermometer. On off and temp setting lever. Works like it should.
