Quick delivery
Two green shutters have a light spot each, but I installed them as is and will see it the spots get worse.

maybe a little direction...
The shutters look good and of course being paintable was nice. However, there are no installation instructions. As a novice DIY'er a few directions would have been helpful, even if they were drawings like you get from Ikea or even pre-drilled holes would have given some direction.

Exterior louvered vinyl shutters review
The louvered shutters offered a very attractive color and appearance. However, the dimensions were not exactly as defined in the specifications (@ 1/2" less in width).. The old shutter that I was replacing with these new shutters had a hard, plastic insert around the perimeter (underneath) of the shutter. These new shutters were nothing but a shell...no backing support, but they appeared to be adequate in tensil strength...!!!.

They are cheap looking .Did not Come in Chinese Red. The Man in windows and door in Red Bluff, helped website open to show all the colors. Again running loose in the store.

They look good
5 stars if the shutter fasteners weren't so flimsy. They only give you one extra so go slow and make them count. If you hammer them too hard or fast they will buckle and not go all the way in. Drill your hole a little bit wider and clean out the dust before you try to hammer in the fastener.

Not recommended
The shutters purchased were 80 inches in length and very flimsy; they had abut the same flex as a long piece of lattice and looked cheap even from a distance of 10 or 20 yards. They were so flimsy that I would not even consider them for decoration. I cannot address installation as they never got that far. They were returned. You might consider this product for a much shorter window - say 24-30 inches that would only be viewed from a distance.

Polystyrene is the material used for paintable product, while more rigid than our color molded through product, a fair amount of movement is expected and normal. We weather test our product to ensure it exceeds the expectations of our customers.

Door shutters give great contrast to the entrence way.
Great looking shutter, Makes the front entry look much more complete. Vinyl siding can be made to look great if you install all of the peripheral components. Gingerbread can make or break the overall appearance of a home.

Easy Installation
These are great shutters for the price. They are extremely easy to install and look just like the wood shutters I replaced. At least these will never rot out like the old ones. They are a little flimsy out of the box, but once they are attached to the wall, they are perfect.

Looks good, installed easily
Received in great condition (no nicks/scratches) and they installed easily on brick front house. Would have preferred thicker plastic but they seem sturdy enough.

An OK item
I was not aware that they were open louvers. We will have to take them down when it gets warmer and paint behind them. I do not know if I missed that in the description or that it wa not listed and should be.

Shutters are excellent quality, easy to install and dramatically improved the appearance of the exterior of my home.
Using Home Depot.com to order this product was very easy quick process. Shipping arrived in a reasonable amount of time considering the size and shape of the product. The product arrived with no damage to the shipping boxes.
Quality of the shutters were excellent, the price was excellent and the shipping was free.
Drastically improved the overall exterior appearance of my home with very little time and effort.

Pretty good, but a bit flimsey.
The shutters I replaced were made of hard plastic and that's what I thought these were. These are flexible and rubbery. Will see how they hold up expanding in the morning sun, and then the cold shade in the afternoon.

Happy with my purchase.
I am a woman who had no problem installing these shutters. I needed help holding the shutters in place while drilling, but otherwise installation was not difficult. No problems with shipping either. They arrived promptly and in good condition. I love the look of wooden shutters but these look fine and will be much lower maintenance. Overall I am very happy with my purchase.
