Shutters look great, but we were missing some fastening hooks in the package. We ordered them at our local Home Depot store but they were not in stock. Now we have to make a special trip to the jobsite to complete the work. All that is added expense.

Mounting method is ok, but not great - there are no bosses behind the mounting holes to prevent the shutter from buckling when you tighten the fasteners. My installer did a pretty good job, but there are still deformations of the shutter at the mounting holes.

Easy to install, looks great. Made such a dramatic difference along side of the cedar shakes. totally changed the look of our house.

Product was in good condition and gave me bot mounting hardware which gave me the option how I wanted to install them

Great shutters and perfect fit!

The shutters are exactly what we wanted. They were delivered to the store right on time and we installed them before Christmas. They were easy to install where the old faded ones were, and look good on the house.

These are exactly like they look online. I just wish they came with the screws to put them up with. That's my only complaint. But they worked great!

Lightweight, flimsy but look good from afar. Out of 8 purchased, 3 have cracks on the sides. I put them up against the window frames so you can't see the cracks but I still know they're there. Expected a little sturdier for the price.

These shutters added so much to the curb appeal of my house! The install was very quick and simple, and added A LOT to the look of my house. I've gotten a ton of compliments from people passing by.

Installed May 7, 2017. He drilled 1/4 " thru 3 1/4" brick deep then tapped in anchors that were provided. Easy peasy for my adult son! He started with the center ones. Best feature was already the color I needed. Love that they are the exact size of the original! They have been hanging for Nine Days! They weathered a terrific storm already! Absolutely meets me expectations!

Did Builders Edge 15 in. x 72 in. L... meet your expectations? Absolutely ! Product received in timely manner, adequate installation directions and hardware included. All four pairs Installed without complication and look great !!!

Shutters came in quickly, they also come with the fasteners for the walls so don't buy separately. However you may need to purchase one extra pack if you are going through a block wall as some got damaged trying to push them in. Other than that they look great!

Already damage on 2 slats from hail 5/11. Only had them installed one week. Landfill already.

Installed a railing and painted it white along with the columns. With the existing shutters, there was just too much white out front (see photo). Bought these to replace ones already installed. Thought about painting the old ones black but after doing some research and comparing the time and costs of spray paint we decided to get these instead. Now we won't have to worry about the paint fading or chipping. Some before and after shots below.

These look great on our house, fairly easy to install, but they are so tall, that it would have been nice to have another point of anchor in the middle of the shutter without having to drill additional holes in it.

They are plastic shutters. The back side is hollow. If you use a 1/4in drill bit, they fit just like they are supposed to. I used silicone in the holes I drilled and on the "threads" of the plastic fasteners as well. I placed the shutters flat on the ground, marked where I wanted the fastener holes to be and drilled them. I then held the lightweight shutter up against my siding, snugged it up to the side of the window, and when I had it positioned right where I wanted it I then drilled the middle (left and right sides) holes only. I set the shutter down, took 2 fasteners and pressed them thru the holes I drilled in the middle(left and right sides) of the shutter. Then I put silicone on the "threads" of the fasteners that were then sticking out from the back side of the shutter. I put the shutter back up to the siding and poked the tips of the fasteners into the holes on my siding and then used a dead blow mallet to gently tap the fasteners into the holes. Then I repeated the process with the bottom holes and then the top holes. Easy peasy.

Installation kit (plastic bolts) included has very limited use. Ended up getting stainless steel self-drilling screws for more secure mounting. Home delivery (UPS) was really quick.
