Very easy installation, my husband is not handy at all and he installed them alone. They look so amazing but I only order a set to see if I liked the color with my house color and now they are all out so I'm hoping they come back in stock soon.

Very lightweight, perhaps a little more than I would have liked. Easy to work with. It was my first time putting up shutters and hung 7 pairs without any problems. Looks good, especially from a distance. Better than the cracked and peeling white wood ones they replaced. Was able to match the new shingles to make a more complete curb appeal. I used a general purpose drill bit and it worked on the mortar really well.

The shutters are really thin and lightweight and chintzy, so don't expect heavy duty! But if you want them for a totally non-functional and purely decorative application like I did, then they are adequate, and perhaps it's better that they're lightweight so it's not a lot of weight to hang on the screws. Paint went on easily and smoothly. I installed them into my stucco with the screws provided, and so far, so good! Painted over the screws without a problem. The shutters are a lovely improvement.

My cupola went down in a 82 mph wind storm.I replaced the shutters with these Builders Edge vinyl ones. I think they look great.

These shutters replaced some really old aluminum ones that were literally falling apart. These are incredibly easy to install. Simply drill 1/4 inch holes through the shutter while holding it against the siding, then push the fasteners through. They use push pin fasteners common on automotive trim. Very easy job and they look great. I used the Wedgewood Blue color choice. Below are some photos.

Easy to install, light weight and made house look new again!

I ordered the vinyl shutters and picked them up and spray painted them quickly and the paint adhered perfectly. The color turned out to match my trim perfectly. I had a friend install the shutters and he did it in an amazing short period of time. They look beautiful and dress up the window on my garage which faces the street and compliments my overall look. Thank you. Everyone I encountered at Home Depot was friendly and very helpful, love you guys.

Product was as described with installation hardware provided. Make sure you drill deep enough to accommodate length of button screws, and use proper width masonry drill bit or you will have complications. Shutters are louvered so make sure you paint prior to installation if you got the paintable ones like I did. The pre-colored shutters are NOT paintable so if you ever decide you might want to change the shutter color get the paintable ones and you can change the shutter color every time you paint the house a different color. Planning ahead will save you headaches and actual labor in the long run. So lets get those tools out and easily beautify your humble abode, all you need is a drill with proper drill bits, tape measure, and paint supplies.

I looked in several stores for the window shutters I wanted to match the color of my siding and new roof. I found the type of shutter I wanted at Home Depot and Lowe's but not the right color so I went on line. First I looked at Home Depot and found the right color and sizes. Then, to do some comparison shopping, I looked at Lowe's on line but did not find the color I wanted. Also, the same shutters that I found at Home Depot cost more at Lowe's. So where do you think I bought them from? Home Depot, of course. I hired somebody to put them on the house but I really like the way they look and they came much quicker that I expected. I have a positive opinion of shopping at Home Depot and will select them again when I need something for my house.

I recently remodeled our guest bathroom. I needed a door with louvers to access a low profile water heater and towel storage. I could fine nothing that was suitable for my purpose. Found these paintable shutters and was able to make Dutch doors, allowing acces to the top or bottom of the storage closet. Construction was a simple wooden frame around the shutter. The shutter was attached to the frame with screws and the whole assembly painted. I would have preferred the shutters be smooth, but having a "wood grain" was not a show stopper.

Quality was good. Finish and color very good. Easy install for the do-it yourself individual. When installing on brick veneer I recommend using a drill motor that has the hammer drill feature and carbide bit designed for use in a hammer drill. Regular carbide bits are less durable and not quite long enough in length. Easy install when drilling in the mortar joints. Slightly harder when drilling into the brick.

Easy installation and exactly what I was looking for to make my home look extra cute.

I have used them before to replace old wooden shutters...

looks really nice installed. the white is not white, it is off white - almost cream. will have to re paint trim to match shutters.
