Easy range hood to instal

Looks great w my new stainless steel gas range! Fits perfectly and really brings out the look in the kitchen. Great pick!

This is the second one I have purchased! This one is now installed in an old mobile home from the 70's which didn't have any access to electricity. Electrician just finished putting it up and it makes such a difference to a drab old kitchen! There was no kitchen cabinet to attach it to, so a piece of wood was used as a bridge across the opening from either side of the cabinet. A piece of existing wallpaper was attached to the front creating a faux front. A cabinet couldn't be added in such a small space and still have room for the hood range. It would have been too low and the range would be at the height of my eyes.Customizing a cabinet to fit there was too expensive. Looks so good, my son noticed it right away! I loved the fact that I could update an old kitchen with out venting it thru my roof, since it is in the middle of the kitchen. Light is bright enough to to see anything in the surrounding area of the stove.When removing it from the box use 2 hands on each side of hood as to not bend it. My first one came with a bulb, this one didn't. Love the 2 speed fan and the light!

This is an easy install even for a novice. If you have wiring already available. An hour is more than enough time to install it.

This range hood is attractive and runs smoothly. An excellent value at a low price point.

I give it a 5 for value and looks. It's light, so much easier to install than most, and it looks good. The fan is quiet, the filter is easy to remove to rinse to clean and the light is nice and bright. You have to open the metal electrical box to install it because the white wire isn't long enough to wire it outside the box and then insert the wires, plus the grounding screw is on the inside of the electrical box. That's not explained on the directions. The electrical box is easy to take off, has only one screw, and the rest is simple. I also had to splice a wire onto it to reach but that was no big deal. Please note that it is a barely off-white color. Not that noticeable, but not quite the bright white of some stoves. It's a really NICE off-white though. There are also four installation screws way down in the box somewhere. I found them afterward. It doesn't come with a lightbulb but takes a standard bulb, which is also convenient.

Looks great. Was not disappointed. Quite and looks great, nice snug fit.

For the price, this is a pretty nice range hood. I purchased the stainless steel model. My local Home Depot did not carry this model in-store, but I ordered it through the HD website and received free delivery within three days - nice! A few notes: - The box says to take the hood out using the styrofoam side packing. This is key - if you grab it by the front of the hood, you will likely bend it. - The hood comes with no other hardware except four (4) Philips screws for mounting. Be aware that any other mounting hardware - such as metal connectors and wire nuts you will need to purchase or supply yourself. Also, this hood is designed to be flush mounted underneath a cabinet. If your cabinet bottom is not flush, you will need to cut and screw two 1x2x10 inch wooden shims to the bottom of your cabinet so that the hood mounting screws can be attached to these shims. - The only issue I have with the manufacturing of the hood itself, is that with the light on, the light also shines through the right side of the exhaust grating in front of the hood. I think this makes it look cheap. Otherwise, the two speed fan is fairly quiet and the hood looks pretty smart. I have had it about a month now. It is a good value for this price point.

This replaced a 20 year-old white GE hood that was worse for wear. The dimensions are identical and it really looks great. So far, it's easy to clean; just keep up with it because grease shows better on SS than on white.

This range hood was exactly what was needed to update our kitchen to match our new stainless steel range and refrigerator. The old range hood was almond color and the same size, so this new hood was an exact fit. We were glad to find this unit at Home Depot at a very reasonable price. We didn't feel the need to spend a huge amount as with range hoods ranging hundreds of dollars more. Installation was simple and straightforward, locate mounting holes, remove top or rear electrical knockout (depending on wiring entry from top or rear), attach wiring, close up the electrical access cover, screw in a light bulb, and it's all done. The range hood looks great once installed. Would certainly recommend this unit if you are looking for a great looking vent-less range hood.
