Can be installed from below with some difficulty
Managed to install this without attic access. Hardest part is getting the vent attached to the hose and positioned properly. Taping it was difficult as I could not pull the existing hose very far down. Also could not get the vent housing tabs in place, but the single screw secured it ok. Missing grommet for wiring hole. Acceptably quiet with bright light. Cheap sounding rattle upon startup. Panasonic quieter with better quality components, but don't like the delayed start and more $.

Cover install - needs a better way
I recently tried to install the cover with led light. I gave up after 10 attempts. It’s impossible to install if you have big hands. I would recommend the use a similar design to Cooper Halo recessed lighting. Very easy to see, easy to align clips to brackets and works.

Terrible capture mechanism for cover
Fan looks great and works just fine. But the vent cover capture mechanism is the worst of any fan I’ve ever installed. Pops out repeatedly while trying to install it and doesn’t retain once you get it right. Horrendous.

Baffle fails to close
This is my second Nutone in which the internal Baffle fails to close completely letting Hot attic air into my bathroom. Instead of replacing (yet again) I have chosen to add a secondary, much better closing baffle onto the end of the exhaust tube. Just know that these fail and your bathroom will get HOT. It looks pretty though, which my wife likes. Fan and light both work as they should and it isn't too loud

TrueSeal™ Damper Technology, featured on InVent® Ventilation Fans, are specifically designed to remain open slightly when the fan is off. This protects the fan components from any light bulb-generated heat on lighted models, by allowing the heat to move into the ductwork and away from the fan. Any backdraft in the ducting will cause the damper flap to fully close, or “seal”, effectively preventing outside air from entering the room. It is the job of the roof or wall cap damper to stop the outside air from returning back through the duct work. If your wall cap or roof cap doesn't include a built-in back draft damper, it may be good to consider this option.

Doe Not do what it says it will do!
After having this fan in my bathroom for a year mold just started to form on the ceiling right next to each side of the vent. We use the fan every single time we shower. And make sure the bathroom is vented since there is no window. I thought this fan was supposed to prevent this??

A great replacement for the basic 50cfm fan installed by our builder. Much stronger and quieter and able to clear moisture from the long showers certain family members are famous for. The fan really can be easily installed from the room-side as advertised, provided that the old fan is not screwed to the ceiling joist using the two metal wings on the outside of the fan box (mine was and required a trip into the attic.) My only suggestion to the manufacturer is to redesign the somewhat wonky spring clips that secure the cover to the fan body...they hold very well and provide easy access for cleaning, but are a little difficult to install.

Works well but...
Works well, light is bright and fan is quick to suck out the humidity from the room but it was a little difficult to install. Though the fan works very well it is FAR from silent. I think the description says "so quiet you might not know it's on" but whoever wrote that was probably deaf.

Good until the cover
As many have stated, the cover lacks a good set of springs to hold the cover. I spent over 15 minutes on that alone. I had to bend them just right to hold the cover in place. The clips the springs snap into aren't much help as the springs would pop out many times.
Fan is ok quiet but not the best.
The light is freaking almost too bright.
I needed a fan so this worked.
