This unit was the only one we could find to replace our Jenn-Air. The air vent (which could go vertical or horizontal) was OFFSET from the center. Our vent, as well as most, vents have the air vent CENTERED in the unit. We would have to cut a new hole in the wall to use this unit. Not an easy task.

I just installed the unit and the light does not work. I had to slot the holes in the frame to get the front face square. I expect this lack of detail to attention from China made products. I bought this product because I want high quality American made.

Purchased this as exact replacement for the nineteen year old existing hood in my house. It's a two-man job to replace it, but it went in beautifully and functions perfectly. Don't try this as a one-man job LOL! It's out of the way when not needed, and easy to use.

Have only had it one month. Plus: Love the slim profile. Range of vent settings is good. Negative: Fluorescent light instead of halogen or LED, and replaceable filters.

Works great light could be brighter

the produce was missing a wire that connected to a round ballast. that should have been found during factory inspection. 3 electricians later it finally works.

Sliding tray does not line up with stationery switch area

This is the second Broan Elite hood that I have had. They work very well and are most people don't even realize that there is an exhaust hood over the cook top.

This vent was extremely difficult to install. The whole box had to be taken apart just to get to the wires out to connect to the electricity. How can they not expose the wires???? The instructions were very difficult to understand. Once installed, there is no light bulb included. The fan visually looks really nice but I'm not happy with the suction at all. On the strongest level on it can't hold a little piece of paper against the vent. I'd love like to exchange it but after all the trouble of getting it installed I think I'll just keep it. Would not recommend it.

Took some time. I had help or I helped the guy that installed it. we had to make some cabinet modifications, but this Broan replaced a thin under the cabinet hood, that was probably double the price of this range hood. Good price range for me and does the job. All I need and want. Instructions and mounting hardware were included. The duct in the unit didn't match the old duct from the old hood, different brand. We made modifications. Unfortunately, not lined up properly under cabinet. One of these days we will correct, the bottom being off set improperly.

This hood was easy to install, works well and looks great.

I have had this hood for approx. 7 years. Performs great. I love that it slides in to hide when not in use. Adjustable fan speed. Awesome. Beautiful finish on exposed slide.

Had somebody install it. No idea how to clean the inside. Been changing the filter and wiping down the metal parts. I am not sure if that is enough. Liked that it is hidden in a cabinet but not sure if works enough. The smoke detector in the house turns on when my husband is cooking steak or baking?? But you can smell outside the food he is cooking also

We purchased our apartment condo right after it was built and the Broan Elite hood fan was there already and we couldn't be happier with the look of it and also the functionality. It's been more than a year now that I use this hood fan everyday since we are both big fans of cooking and baking and it has been great. Love the slide in design!!!
