Great Grill, plus I modified it a bit
This grill was easy to assemble, works great, and cooks evenly. I noticed some reviews complained due to not having a back cover, well, I designed and made a back for mine and it looks amazing. I also made stainless bars on the side with hooks for hanging utensils on as well as a heat shield for the rotisserie motor. If anyone wants, I will make the same for your grill. I would recommend this girl to the most critical person with no concerns.

Love the grill, not fond of the cabinet it sits on
Cooking on the grill is great. Side fryer system system is awesome, we have used it more than the grill itself, and could not be happier with both. The grill heats up fast and has very consistent temperature over the entire surface. CR was correct in ranking this as the best grill in it's class. I could not, however, give the grill a five star rating because the the cabinet the grill sits on very rickety and has no back to it. Brinkmann has added two supports inside the cabinet to help hold it together which means there is very little space for your grilling tools. BTW, I installed the natural gas kit so there is no tank in the cabinet. I can't imagine storing anything in the cabinet with a tank installed. and I have read your response Brinkmann, about your choice not to put a back on the cabinet. I would have paid more for the grill for a decent cabinet. And four out of every five complaints about your grill in these reviews would not be here.

    Great Value! Great BBQ!
Grills Great! Searing Feature is Great for Steaks, Filet Migions just the way you want them cooked, So easy to use, lights imedidiately, Also cleans great. Very Happy with This BBQ. Use it everyday since we bought it. You can't beat the price either. So worth it. I would absolutely recommend this BBQ. I've always bought Weber, I would have to say this is right up there with Weber BBQs with out the exspence of a Weber.

      Love my Brinkman Grill!!
This grill was one of the best purchases Ive made this summer. I am a charcoal grill guy all the way, but when the wife decided she wanted a simple and quick grill to use we purchased this Brinkman 6 burner grill. I assembled it and it was straight forward, easy to do with basically a screw driver and little more. The only thing I would say is if you are cooking for a large group of people and using all 6 burners, make sure to have a spare fuel tank on hand or convert to natural gas. This grill does suck down the fuel, but gets hot instantly and cleans up easily. Love the rotisserie and deep fryer! Worth every penny.

      surprised
Just put in an outdoor kitchen and wanted a nice grill to go along with the smoker and 3 burner range. Started to buy a Swiss or Napoleon but with the overruns of adding a wood burning fireplace and ceiling fans and custom cabinets I saw this for a quarter of the money so, decided to try it out, if not happy I could get the Napoleon later. but this thing performs and barely sips gas even with all burners on. Very happy with the unit. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the grease pan makes me remove from in between the cabinets and it would be nice with lights in the hood. Very nice for the money.

An adequate grill, but not quite worth the money
I bought the grill after much research and comparing it to the Webers. I was able to put it together myself, everything fit together good. One burner immediately started acting up, makes a weird noise after 15 seconds of operation (2nd from the right) and does not stop until you turn it off. There is no solid back to the grill, so it loses alot of heat through there and you have to ensure you are well away from anything that may melt or catch fire. the burner diffusers are not held in place by anything so as i move it around they rattle and shift all over the place. The grill seems to come up to temp really quickly on high, pegging the thermometer in the cover, but i cant seem to get the grates hot enough to properly sear a steak, even on the searing burner. i've had it since January and really want to return it, probably for a smaller grill with a solid back or even just spend the money for a Weber. Let me stress, the construction seems proper, just alot of the small things make it a less than desirable grilling experience for me.

        Trash
Seemed a bit flimsy but it looked to have decent features. Got it home and the first thing I noticed was that the side burner basket has a handle that needed to be attached but the holes on the basket don't line up with the holes on the handle. Red flag #1- poor QC. The real kicker was turning the grill on only to discover the Sear X burner leaked propane making the whole unit useless. This will be returned to Home dept for a refund. Don't waste your time, this thing is cheap garbage.

        Wrong part with grill
I bought this grill over three weeks ago and assembled it myself. I noticed immediately that one of the casters was wrong. I immediately called Brickmann customer service and their system calls you back in the order the call was received. Over two hours later someone called me back. The first thing I noticed was the man on the line was not very polite. I explained the situation that the wrong part was included in the box and that I couldn't use my grill. He said another one would go out in 5-7 business days. I asked if they could ship it overnight since I had gill parts scattered all over my garage and couldn't use the grill. He said no. Another week goes by and I receive a box from the company and low and behold they shipped the wrong part once again. Two weeks now and I still cannot use my grill. I once again called customer service and again over two hours to return my call. Different person and still not the most polite person I have dealt with. I felt I was disturbing him. I once again explained that the part number was correct according to their website but the labeling in the warehouse was obviously wrong. He said he would ship out the correct part 2nd day air. I received the package today via UPS and AGAIN they sent the wrong part. I am still waiting for a call back going on 3 hours now and 3 weeks into this purchase I STILL cannot use my grill. I cannot even explain how frustrated I am at this whole process. I can't recommend the grill since I am not able to use it. But so far I'm not impressed with this company or their customer service. Be warned, if you purchase any of their grills and the part is wrong or missing, you are in for a long wait.

        Awesome purchase!!!
I received this grill as a Mother's Day gift. I have issues digesting grilled foods done with wood or charcoal so I was ecstatic to have a gas grill. It's literally an outdoor kitchen appliance. Huge cooking area, even cooking and the fryer is an awesome feature. The grill was assembled in the store which was perfect. We cranked it up the next day and had an open grill experience with family and friends. Awesome. Everyone was very impressed with how easy it is to use. The only feature we've yet to use is the rotisserie. Looking forward to it in the near future. I highly recommend this product. No gas taste on the food, even cooking, cook food as fast or as slow as you'd like. The searing feature is awesome as well. The overall appearance of the grill is quite impressive. We've used the grill three times in three weeks and we love it. Oh it's also very easy to clean. The only con that I would speak on is the cabinet space is wasted because the gas tank sits in the middle. No there really isn't any storage.

Rotisserie motor quit after 3 uses.
My husband got this grill for his birthday in February. We have used the rotisserie 3 times and the motor has died. I cannot find a receipt to get the motor replaced so the rotisserie is a useless feature now. It was one of the reasons we upgraded to this grill.

BEST Grill I Have EVER Owned
I am Executive Chef at one of the best restaurants on the Washington coast. I can honestly tell you that this grill is the BEST grill that I have ever purchased. All of the grills that I have purchased in the past either didn't cook evenly, were too small, or had a large gap on the back of the grill when the lid was closed which let the heat escape. This grill does not have any of those problems. I have loaded this grill up with 20 burger patties at once and each one cooked at the same rate, no more moving meat around looking for the "hot spot". The bang for the buck cannot be beat. Brinkman has really raised the bar on this grill. I hope that this one lasts more than 2 years, the salt air on the coast has a way of destroying things.

              Good Product, poor customer service
The 6-BURNER DUAL FUEL GAS GRILL is a very nice cooking station. I assembled it myself and added a support bar to the backside to make it a little more sturdy. It's best to layout all the parts in an organized manner and make sure you have all parts before starting assembly. Although the boxes are labeled as to content, they are packed to get the most efficient shipping purposes, not for ease of assembly. When using the side burner for hot oil, I installed at splash shield to keep the oil from splattering into adjacent grill burners. Also be aware that left unattended the cooking oil burner can put your oil over 500 degrees! Don't let young children be around this fryer unit. I am having trouble with the Sear Burner staying on and will contact manufacturer about this. Otherwise, very happy with the heat this unit puts out. I hope one year from now I can say the same thing. If you have the rotisserie motor attached when doing "normal" grilling, the heat from the grill will probably melt the motor cover. There is a lot of hot air coming through those small side holes for the rotisserie. i would not install the motor unless you are using the rotisserie. I give the grill 4 stars...only because I think a splash shield should be part of the standard equipment. But I give 1 star to Home Depot. On the day I went to get this grill I waited for over 20 minutes for someone for purchase assistance even after I went to customer service. The person was very dis-interested, but even worse had no clue as to the functions of the grill itself. Home Depot offers FREE assembly (which is very beneficial with assembling this grill), BUT I was told they had none assembled and if I wanted it assembled, their "Grill Assembly Guy" only comes in on Tuesday, and he already has several grills to assemble, meaning?????. I was told I could NOT take the one already assembled on floor display, So I asked for the 'boxed' grill. The look on the person's face was unreal....15 minutes later the person pushed a cart in front of me and said here it is and quickly walked away....not even offering to help load it. (PS- on this day there were more store employees in the building than customers)

              3 cooks then returned
Cooked a rotisserie chicken and it came out good. The rotisserie motor did get pretty hot. The grill temp was reading 300 degrees. Second time cooking on it I did a whole lot of hambergers and hotdogs. Had no issues with this. I tried to cook another rotisserie chicken at 300 degrees. This time the motor melted apart in about 30 minutes. Reason to return the grill. Rotisserie motor melted and spit rod starting to bend from 3lbs chickens. Burners not even, a lot of cold spots. Tank full/empty reader doesn't work. Back side above drip pan let's out a lot of heat. The whole grill felt flimsy. The grill is attached to the bottom by 4 bolts.

              Hello TheDude,

We do not recommend cooking anything (i.e. burgers, steaks, etc.) with the rotisserie motor mounted. The only time the rotisserie should be mounted on the grill is when the rotisserie is in use. If a customer wants to keep the rotisserie motor attached at all times, we have some modified rotisserie brackets that will prevent the motor from getting hot. Customers can call us at 1-800-527-0717 or email us at cs@brinkmann.net and we will send them out for free. The most accurate way to check the level of propane is by weighing the tank. This is why we have chosen to use an integrated tank weighing system on the bottom of this grill. This grill sits on top of the cart and is fastened by 4 bolts. The cart is very sturdy and strong enough to hold this grill without any issues. If the cart doesn't feel sturdy, then there may be a couple of loose bolts on the cart. A customer should always make sure that all of the bolts are tight. If you are willing to give us another try let us know and can provide a link on youtube on how to properly use the rotisserie section with this unit.

              Thank You
              Victor

                Great grill for the price
One of the best features is the Sear-X which does a great job for grill marks or charring steaks. The large grilling surface can cook at high heat if desired. Was relatively easy to assemble. The fryer/burner is a good feature for deep frying outside so you don't have to deal with the mess and smell in your house. It probably won't last as long as a Weber but you would pay at least 4x the Brinkmann price for an equivalent Weber grill...

                    Hello Lighterman,

We apologize that the unit does not have a back panel but it does not need one. We thought that the customers would prefer a unit that is loaded with some great features such as the Sear X Burner, Side Fryer, Propane Tank Gauge, Heavy Duty Cast Iron Cooking Grates, Able To Be Converted To NG, etc., instead of a back panel. Every grill manufacturer is required to prevent spare tank storage underneath these larger gas grills. This is why we have two tank block bars in place. The reason the tank holder is in the center is because there is an integrated propane tank gauge built into the cart and the gauge is displayed on the front of the bottom cart panel. Let us know what exactly it is you are referring to as "poor workmanship" so that we can review and assists you in the best way possible.

                    Thank You

                    Don't do it
I bought the grill, got it home and unpacked to discover it was badly damaged. After exchanging it I put the second grill together to discover it had the wrong grill grate so they overlapped. After two days of customer support asking for photos and receipts and not getting my information I decided to just buy the part. The website and customer support stink.

                      Not so fast
We opted not to go for the Home Depot's great service of Free assembly, because this bad boy fully assembled would not fit in our SUV. So, when we got the GIANT box loaded and unloaded and sifted through the 55 part boxes and Styrofoam, and 4 hours later we had an assembled grill. Trust me, take advantage of the FREE in store Assembly. The outside frame of the whole thing is a wee bit flimsy, but I guess that is what you get these days when nothing is built in the US. I could not believe the whole grill top is held on by four 1/4" fat head screws! Hopefully it doesn't fall off on me one of these days. Some of the assembly instructions are not very clear and my husband and I are still bickering back and forth about which way the grill plates go on. I am hoping regardless of the flimsy build that this thing lasts. Our main problems with grills of the past is me cook fast and high, so the grill plates and housing just deteriorate from high heat in 2 years. Hopefully brinkman holds up to their warranty and we will not have to do a replacement on this one in a few years. Another downside is the way the deep fryer basket is set up. I see grease fires in our future the way the basket is assembled to drain grease. Hopefully that does not happen. I do however like the sear feature, I think it is fabulous. The rotisserie is awesome but beware you cannot leave that installed while the rest of the grill is assembled. either you're grilling or rotisserie-ing. But it is still fabulous and it doesn't require batteries which is nice. Also, the motor to the rotisserie is whisper quiet. Overall the style is sleek, the cooking surface area is HUGE, great for parties. I could probably do 30 patties at a time on this thing. Oh an another feature I LOVE is there is an igniter on EACH of the 6 burners, not just one.

                      Very nice Grill
Like the cast iron grills they should last for many years. The grill was relatively easy to assemble, but very important to follow the step by step directions. The deep fryer on the side is a nice feature but don't know how much I will use it, you can also use it like a side burner with the pan that is included. The included Rotisserie is a good fit and did a whole chicken on it last night which turned out great. Looked at the weber grills and this one is just as good for 1/3rd the price.

                      So far, so good!
We have only used the grill one time, but it performed well. The searing feature is one of our favorites as this is how we like to cook our steaks. Can't speak to ease of assembly because we took advantage of free assembly service...and who wouldn't? We chose this grill because it was one of the few available to convert to natural gas but also the nice look of it with gray enamel paint and stainless steel. If you are using natural gas, make sure you also purchase the conversion kit sold separately.

                        Great features. Poor quality.
I had originally purchased this grill as a replacement for the Brinkmann Medallion which I had only owned for 2 months. The original Medallion grill had a side burner that never worked. I upgraded to this one and got it home to set up. Set up was simple and overall design was a great improvement over the Medallion Grill. It was much more sturdy and the grill doors lined up properly with the newer style of hinges. Overall this grill heats up super fast. I got up to 500 in a few minutes. I have three major complaints with this grill. 1. The igniter on the sear burner was not working out of the box. I had to play around with wires for it to finally work. 2. The Sear X battery connector is bad so I have to strip and make new connector and it will work. 3. The rotisserie rod was not the proper length to sit in the groove properly for rotation. I will have to bend the metal piece to make it work. Bottom line I would recommend this product only if you don't have the money for a Weber Grill. I would return this for another in the box. It will get the job done and cook your food, but if you are not motivated by bells and whistles and want something with a bit of quality, Just get a Weber.

                        Solid nice above average grill
I have not really had a chance to put a bunch of time on this unit. But its not my first grill either. Really like its size as I will do a big family sized rib grilling a few times a year. Plenty of room to do several meats at same time and the burners are decent in BTU output. Did a good job on my rib-eyes last night. Kinda like to high sear burner. Will give the fryer a try this summer. Bottom on line looks like it closes up but back is totally open. Had Home Depot assemble it

Lots of features for the price
This grill has a lot of features for the price. Was reasonably easy to put together but a few of the pre-installed screws stripped when tightening. No power tools. Not enough to compromise the grill's integrity though. Already had a gas line on my patio so was able to convert to NG without having to purchase anything else other than a deep 6 mm socket to remover the LP orifices. Used it a couple of times now, overall pretty well satisfied.
