The green and black pictured is not what is sold at stores to begin with. The nozzle has a lever that you have to pinch inward to push back to release gas and is very hard to squeeze down with fingers and let gas flow at the same time. Gas cans and nozzles are a simple thing, why complicate them every chance they have , why? If you don't slide the lever down enough you get gas leakage somehow all over your hand, who knows how they designed this thing and why they let it be mass produced in the first place. It's just frustrating to buy a simple thing that has been altered to be complicated. Home Depot quality control once again has settled for profit margin over function. My thing has always been (KISS) Keeping It Simple SELLS.

DESIGN RECALL!!!
If your child is playing with gas cans you have bigger issues. DO NOT BUY! You will need to actually watch a youtube video in order to work this. No joke! During Hurricane Sandy there was no Youtube. After 30 minutes of struggling I decided to just DESTROY the safety feature. Felt real good too. I only used it because I had no other option. After it went right in the trash and went to a gas station and bought a real gas can. 0 STARS, 0 STARS, 0 STARS, 0 STARS, 0 STARS, 0 STARS, 0 STARS, 0 STARS, 0 STARS, 0 STARS

Thank you for your response. We have launched a new portable fuel container called Press N Pour by GarageBoss. Please see our website www.gogarageboss.com. Our new can incorporates Flame Mitigation technology and a much more ergonomic spout with nylon and viton rubber materials.

Child Proof Gas Can
After fussing with the new child proof gas can a couple of times, I've conquered the concept and there seems to be a method in the madness. The collar of the spout is held in place with a circle of notches/teeth that need to be tightened thoroughly to prevent gas from leaking around the neck of the can. I used a plastic gripper like the ones used for opening jars in the kitchen to tighten the last few notches on the spout to completely seal the gas can.

The best use for this gas can would be to fill it with concrete and use it as a door stop. Tiny plastic flexible pins are designed to make this spout work, THEY DON'T !!! Extremely over engineered can that is very difficult to use. Spout leaked profusely on attempted use. Stay away from this product!!! It should rate at 0 stars !!!

Junk! Purchased this can for my home about a year ago. Last weekend I tried to fill my leaf blower and the upper part of the nozzle flew off. I tried to fix it but the cheap, plastic spring connection broke and now the thing is useless. I tried contacting the manufacturer (The Plastics Group) about them sending me a replacement nozzle but nobody has called me back after 3 messages nor has responded to 2 e mails I sent. B&S should think twice about putting their name on such an inferior product made by a third party. There is one moving part on this product and they seem to have made it the weakest part. Very disappointed.

To get gas to flow out of the can, you must set the spout in the gas tank, press the black strip, and push down hard to slide the inner spout up which releases the gas. The instructions only say to press the black strip and do not instruct to push down. It take a fair amount of downward pressure to move the inner spout. This safety mechanism is not well designed and not easy to use.

          hated it
I hated this gas can. I filled with gas, but when I tried to pour it into the lawn mower, I had a really rough time with it...was spilling more than I was getting in the lawn mower. I I ended up with the gas all over my hands too. I stopped and went out and got a better one, that I could manage with no spills. I couldn't return this one since it had gas in it, but it ended up in the trash. I tried to give it away, but no one would take it. They hated it too. Don't waste your money.

This broke apart the first time I tried to use it. I turned the thing, to lock it the whole bit, and it flew apart and got gasoline on me. It's way over complicated, the instructions uses obscure terms we have no way to grasp (the anchor etc) and i feel ripped off

The no spill nozzle is a obscured hassle to use and it breaks easily. I advise anyone to avoid purchasing this can at all costs. There is only one gas can with a 4 plus star rating I recommend that one. Very Respectfully, Dave g, Mary Esther, FL

The hose -- the nozzle -- is hard to use and leaks when trying to fill something. It is a pain to use, they need to go back to the old hoses, as this hose isn't good -- leaks every time no matter how you use it.

The safety features are a bit awkward if you are trying to fill a small item but otherwise ok.

The over-engineered spout is ridiculous. I assume they have done this by order of the EPA to prevent spillage of their stupid reformulated gas that gums up small engines. It has been a long time since an inanimate object has caused me so much grief.
