More like a yellow pine not darker as in description. I can not really rate the value or quality at all. Sent them back ASAP. I have order the darker cherry wood. We will see if that color works for what I need. I'll up date. Hope this is helpful.

I did not assemble it myself, but I was told it was not difficult. The quality of the material and workmanship is excellent. It swivels nicely and it the perfect height for my kitchen island. It is quite comfy to sit on. The nice thing about real wood is if it gets a scratch it can be easily corrected. The color is a warm maple-ish tone. I had gone to several local stores and this was a good value and did not have any bad reviews. Home Depot did a great job with delivery to my home. I like the fact that it would be easy to return if needed.

Comfortable and perfect size

The chairs are very uncomfortable. The seat cushion is hard as a rock. They look nice but very uncomfortable. I would not recommend anyone to spend money to buy uncomfortable chairs. One of the chairs has to be replaced due to inadequate hardware to put together. Cost more in doctor bills to fix back after setting in these chairs.

Great quality and easy to assemble.

These are a very sturdy, very beautiful barstool. They look just like the picture. They went together very easily.

I was able to put the stool together easily. I'm very happy with the looks and quality of the product.

We bought the walnut color. It came in the box for walnut but the color matches the picture of the fruitwood. It is very light and not at all dark like the image shows. Returning all of them. I did not put them together so I cannot review the quality but it did seem like a good value if the color was correct.

perfect match to table

First set 4 chairs came with one of them broken. Replacement chair is not the same color as the first 3. What can we do with this problem.
