This is a room darkening blind and it does darken room somewhat, but the blinds are very thin. I think I would have liked a thicker blind. The associate that helped me did an excellent job cutting the blinds to size and was very knowledgeable.

I can't use them to mount inside of the trim. I don't believe the sales person knew there may be a problem. I had no way of knowing.
