Lasted about a week. Now I have to roll it manually.

These are very nice shades of heavy material, much nicer than what I previously had on the windows. Caution: size is from end to end of mechanism on top, not the shade itself. I wasn't aware of that, but the shades are still worked OK for me.

Great quality. The fabric is thick and textured. These are room black out and live up to the name. Well made and I anticipate they will last a long time. In store experience was great; shades were cut to precise size and done quickly!

one fit perfectly. the other was a bit too long, due to the mechanism protruding further than the original....the HD person trimmed that shade a bit...will install soon.

The cut was done perfectly and I had no trouble installing them.

Standard white vinyl roller shades. Easy installation for apartment living. Quick solution to block out light as stated but I found they also also reduce hot summer heat inside rooms by not only blocking out light but the heat of the sun during peak sun exposure times that bake floor to ceiling windows. I put them on western exposure windows and pulled them down during heat wave sun exposure noon to sunset and it kept the temperstures down 20 degrees inside with the use of air conditioning. That vinyl black out material acts like insulation on 1920’s window panes that have none. So they work well to lower temperatures in home by blocking out sun and heat from entering room in heat waves. Downside no light. But for those without central AC in their apartment (and only having the portable AC option which is never ever as strong as central air) this is emergency aide fir renters!!

Once they were cut to the right size, they worked perfectly. Provided my daughters room with privacy since we are next to a park, she needed this shade. Rolls up and down easily work great with lavender curtains.

The shades are great quality.... the HD employee help was great....as expected. He cut the shades to our specs. We were very satisfied

This blind was what I expected it to be. It does a good job of darkening the room. Easy installation.

The shades are pretty well made but while they are sold as “blackout”, they still let an awful lot of light through. The hardware on each end seems wider than other brands, creating a gap on each side that allows light to get past the shade.

The product may be okay. The customer service and the experience of the employees on cutting these properly and to the correct size was embarrassingly bad. The result is shades that stay in my windows just fine, but because of the spring loaded end allow about a half inch more light than they should, and when you're trying to go for blackout shades, a half inch is a big deal.

They do what the old cheaper shades did, they curl back on both sides! I was expecting for over twice the money they would not curl !!!!!!

I returned the shades that I purchased because they would not lay flat. At the center of the window (top to bottom) they were bowed out by a good 1.5 inches. It was unattractive and let in much light from the sides which defeated the purpose of these room darkening shades.

worked very well as a blackout shade. the only light that enters is from the sides (I did an outside mount) which was expected.
