I was disappointed because so called 50” clamp will only open 47 1/2”. I think that is false advertisement.

Horrible. These clamps don't meet the Bessey standard. They are lacking the rubber pads and will twist/slip upon tightening. Not a lot of savings by buying these over the original K-Body clamp.

Adequate but cheaply made. Steel rail instead of aluminum really adds weight. The clamp assembly being plastic with rivets instead of welded steel means you better not drop them on the ground accidently.
I suppose the price reflects the construction quality. My Jet clamps are much nicer. In hindsight, I should have paid more and have a clamp that will last a lifetime.

Clamp has excellent holding power.
Does not mar or mark workpiece.
Grips with authority when lagging down.
Maintains even pressure across contact points with workpiece.
Do not recommend anything smaller than 18 inches; will purchase 24 inch+ for next, larger project

Was a little hesitant after seeing some reviews and the online video (which show it used with very small pieces of wood), but I'm happy with them for my uses. I wanted some smaller (12") parallels for table leg glue-ups and these work great for that. And other smaller pieces that i want to use a parallel clamp for. I suppose for larger table tops and such, the full K-body clamps would be preferable - it all depends how good your cut is!! I don't do cabinetry, so no comment on that. I have a rapidly growing collection of clamps from trigger, to F styles to parallels (some of the non-JR Besseys) and these function just fine.

This is a nice product. Works well. Wish they sold in stores. I don't like buying clamps online.

Compared to my older Bessey clamps the new ones are very hard to adjust to length. It is frustrating when your 2 inches from the point you want to begin tighting and the clamp sticks. Have used them about 20 times

Another quality clamp from Bessey
I've been a big fan of this line of clamps ever since I got my first one - all high quality parts, very sturdy and easy to use. This one might seem a little different than most, but it can be used just about anywhere a normal clamp of this size can, and then some, because it creates a larger, flat surface area. However, you can slide off the plastic bumpers and use it much like a standard clamp too. I've already used these numerous times and they're my new favorites.
When you're building larger things, especially out of wood, clamps are a necessity. For most of my woodworking projects, I end up using the smaller Irwin Quick Clamps as I like how easy they are to adjust on the fly, and they are the right size for smaller projects. For larger projects though (like a floor dresser I am designing for our closet), I want something that will be able to hold the whole thing lengthwise at once.
These clamps are the right size for larger projects, but adjusting them is a little bit hit and miss. The throat depth is great once the clamp is adjusted; it's just getting the clamp in place and tightly clamped that's a little more challenging than it should be, especially for one person doing a job. Unless you're building something particularly heavy, you don't really need more pressure/grip than these provide and really, anything over 200-300 lbs. of pressure is overkill and can potentially damage the wood. The clamp ends are good at not marring material so far, but I don't have a good idea of how much pressure I'm applying until I pop it loose and see if things move around. And then I have to readjust it.
The size and pricing is the selling point here, and they do work. I just think that the full size clamps instead of the "Junior" model is probably a better choice for most, at least if you're working on larger projects.
I love this style of clamp for the type of woodworking I do. I use them for clamping strips of wood together for cutting board blanks. I like being able to put strong, even pressure across the wood while still being able to clamp it flat by laying it across the support bars. I started with the much larger clamps, and recently started using these smaller ones. However, I have to say I prefer the bigger ones. The smaller ones are definitely light-medium duty. Also, I seem to have difficulty sliding the clamps across the bar. They just don't seem as smooth and easy to operate as the big K clamps. They are still top quality though. Just keep in mind they are for smaller projects.
For someone that does most all their work by myself, this is like having a third hand! The size of the clamp is great for most jobs. The 12" jaw opening is adequate. This clamp allows you to clamp material on studs at 16" centers. So if you need a nailer,it is no problem. Little at a time I am replacing all my old style clamps with the newer ones, like this parallel style. They have come so far with all these new clamps,it
has made it so much easier for me to still enjoy my woodworking even as I have gotten older.
Have no doubts ... the only things that these clamps share with their big brothers is the Bessey name and the color scheme. I own over three dozen Bessey clamps and, by a wide margin, these are of the poorest quality yet. Poor handles [small and made from cheap wood], lightweight and balky beams ... when they do bite, rather than slip, you can't get much pressure ... the diameter of the handles are just too small. If you have tiny hands and do light work, they could work for you; but in my workshop they have no place. And I find that strange because I can't rave enough about their other designs.

Any professional or amateur woodworker knows that the right tools make all the difference between a smooth project and a frustrating struggle. Bessey does it again with their K-Body Revo Jr that performs flawlessly. High quality, easy to use for a non-traditional design, and sturdy. Some clamps are flimsy but not this one.
Get many because you need more than one clamp.
If you do woodwork, you know that a good clamp can make all the difference in either the finished product or the effort exerted in making it. These clamps work flawlessly. They are the right size for the larger projects, and can put a great amount of pressure on your project for gluing. The clamp has a deep throat that makes it easier to use as well.
You can never have too many clamps in your wood shop, so get some of these for your collection!
First, these are a totally different animal than pipe clamps, and if you're using pipe clamps, these will improve your work tremendously. I learned the hard way that pipe clamps can leave black marks on your workpiece and - worse - rack it so that it's out of square. For consistent, accurate clamping of projects that require precision, I use these. This includes making cabinet carcases, cabinet doors, shelving units, drawers, and occasionally when pre-assembling window or door jamb extensions.
Compared to other parallel clamps, these have a few extra benefits:
- the release mechanism is easy to engage/disengage (you tilt the handle);
- the spacers keep your workpiece lifted just off the bar (so no glueing your project to the clamp); and
- Bessey also makes great accessories for these, including an extender that allows you to couple two clamps for longer/bigger jobs, and KP blocks that allow you to set up 4 clamps (2 sets one direction and 2 at right angles to the first pair) for clamping perfectly square pieces.
Overall these are the best parallel clamps out there. They do exactly what they're supposed to, which is apply consistent clamping pressure throughout the length of the jaws so that you don't clamp your work out of square. Yes, they're also heavy, but that helps make them sturdy and accurate. The only thing that would make these absolutely perfect would be if they had ruler markings (but a sharpie took care of that easily enough). If you're doing cabinet or furniture work where precision is important, you need these!
