Worked great on an oak open top box

3-yrs Later
Applied about 11 gallons to pine siding which had weathered with a different product coating for over 20 years. Power washed first. Now, 3-years later the finish has held up extremely well and could imagine it will easily make it to 10.

Deck - solid color stain
Behr is a good product. It went on & covered well. Compliant is the final color did not match the samples. Purchase the Chestnut but when applied came out a lot lighter; more like cider. Not entirely happy with it but can live with it. Too much work to redo. Do recommend the Behr product just get a shade or 2 darker than you are looking for.

This is paint, it peels off, worst “stain” ever!
This is not stain, more like paint. Have to re-stain every year. It’s chips and peels off so easily. My deck is three years old, and looks like it’s been through a war! I hate it. And of course you can’t do anything about it.

Great product

Did not last 15 months.
I don’t know how this is called stain. It acts like a paint and it started peeling off after less than a year. 15 months into it and it look awful.

Orange red color
I’ve used the same russet color for years and it has never had an orange red undertone. The can I recently purchased is definitely orangey and looks awful . Why has the color changed? I even have a picture of my old can to make sure I purchased the same thing.

Very dissatisfied. I was raised to believe that if you don’t open the can any leftover paint can be returned. Unfortunately, online purchases makes ‘no warning’ that the purchases are special mixed and cannot be returned. Not until you pick up the paint there’s a sticker on the can that says not returnable. Very deceptive. Now I’m stuck with two gallons of stain in a color I don’t want.

Terrible
Bought this stain last summer sanded deck to bare wood then stained the deck . This stain this spring is faded holds all the dirt scrub with dawn dish soap and still the same. Peeling in spots did exactly as can said would not recommend this stain at all! Photo is after washing

Worked great!
The glass in our patio shattered so we replaced it with a tabletop made from pine deck boards. I looked at a lot of options and samples before deciding on this color to stain the wood. This is an almost identical match to the color shown in the Behr flyer at the paint counter. We’re pleased with the way the tabletop turned out. It will blend nicely with the table frame.

Sticky finish though all directions followed
I've done lots of deck, stair staining over the years using Thompson Water seal with no issues at all. I wanted a blue stain for my covered deck 30'×10', found Behr had the color... but it isn't at all like "normal" stain that soaks in well. I followed directions, though stain, like paint is easy.. but still 4 days later, a sticky surface. Dont like, dont recommend. My cat won't even walk on it because of the tackiness.. It didn't and has not rained, surface was dry, etc.

Beautiful and Masterful product
I had to redo my deck and wanted something different. This did it! The application was simple and the look is timeless. Will certainly recommend and also use Behr products for other DIY projects around my house.

Ugly - Has the color of those orange circus peanut candies
Ugliest color stain I've ever seen - nothing like the picture. It has the same color as those orange circus peanut candies. It's also watery and goes on splotchy. You need at least two coats, sometimes 3. Looks terrible.

Worst product, prep don't matter
Didn't make it but a few months before peeling and chipping started. Power washed a d prepped surface and still turned out horrible. Find another product as this Behr product was no good and very disappointing waste of time and money.

Wood Chip is such a gorgeous color!
Proper preparation is important for the best results. After pressure washing and sanding our fence, we applied one coat of the stain & sealer. One coat is sufficient for even coverage. I was worried at first that I wouldn’t be able to see the natural wood grain and variation in the wood, but once the stain dried it looked amazing! Wood Chip is and dark, very natural looking brown color. Our fence looks brand new again and is will be protected from the elements for the next few years!

Went down pretty easy. Manufacture spec is a little generous on coverage is doing bare wood with a proper two coat coverage. We'll see how it holds up for the winter months

Best paint/stain
This is the only product I will use on wood decks. It goes on evenly and easy with the brush and it does not peel after one year like I found with other brands. Also has an easy clean up with soap and water. If you’re painting your wood deck use this product. Anything else would be a waste of money.

Stain don’t match the sample chart
The color of the stain is way lighter then the sample patch in the pamphlet.

If you'd like a darker, more opaue finish, I recommend letting the last coat dry for 72 hours and then applying another thin coat. damaged furniture
Used BEHR stain on outdoor furniture (solid wood, Adirondack chairs and table) and squirrels began eating the wood on my furniture. Same furniture has been there for 7 years with zero issues. Found out today my hairdresser stained the pillars on her porch with BEHR stain, and squirrels are eating the wood on her porch. DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT! We paid over $500 for 2 5 gallon buckets only to have furniture destroyed. I have to think my deck is next for the animals.

COLOR IS NOT TAUPE AT ALL!!!!!
If you're looking for the color in these photos shown, DO NOT BUY THIS COLOR!!! It is NOT A TAUPE COLOR IT IS YELLOW-ISH & UGLY!!! The photos look absolutely NOTHING LIKE THE REAL COLOR!!!!! Also, I bought 4 gallons and paid $150 and they are NOT RETURNABLE!!!! RIDICULOUS!!!!!
