Terrible product
We have applied this product 2 times. Once when our deck was initially installed and another when we did it 6 months later. We did it the second time because we thought the installers did not use enough paint, but this was not the case. We were informed that this would last at least 5 years before reapplying. However, this does not last more than 6 months before needing another reapplication. We don’t know what we are doing wrong, but as of right now it seems like we are throwing away money.

Hi there, thank you for your review. Sorry to hear that our Porch & Paint is peeling off of your deck. Our Porch & Patio Paint has a 1-year warranty, but the life expectancy can last much longer. To fix the issue I recommend removing the loose paint by scraping, sanding, or power washing at a low level. Then clean the surface with the All-In-One Wood Cleaner and let it dry, then apply 1 coat of our Interior/Exterior Multi-Surface Stain-Blocking Primer 436 and then apply the paint per the label directions. Customer satisfaction is important to us, and we appreciate your feedback. Please reach out to us directly if you need further assistance; our customer care team is happy to help you! -Ronald Behr

Use all of it one time use only
This porch and patio paint applied beautifully and looked good but please don't save it for another application. I bought two gallons and was unable to reuse them. They paint turned in some gravel looking material.

      Don't use for driveways
We told the salesman that we needed to re-paint the driveway and he told us this would work. We power washed the driveway, then etched it. Following the instruction on the can, we applied the paint and waited 24 hours before walking on it. When we did walk on it the next day, our footprints were all over the paint. We tried to clean it, but nothing came up. We waited 5-6 days till we drove on it, and during that time, it was dry and about 75-79 degrees every day. We wanted to make sure the paint had cured. It was going to hail, so 6 days later we drove the truck in on the driveway. The truck had sat for the last 48 hours, so the tires were not HOT. Here are the pictures of where the truck marked the paint and some of the paint ended on the tires. Any dirt from walking on the paint will not clean off. Not sure what to do next. Is there anything that we can apply over this paint? This not a garage, but a carport that we normally no not park in, we just use the driveway.

Hi there Jacko, thank you for the review. Sorry to her that the Porch and Patio Floor Paint is starting to pee and it left footprints when walking on it the next day. As it turns out our Porch & Patio Floor Paints aren't recommended for driveways or other areas subject to vehicle traffic. I recommend removing the loose coating by either power washing or sanding, then etching the bare concrete. After the floor is etched and clean apply a different product that can be driven on such as out 1-Part Epoxy Concrete & Garage Floor Paint. Customer satisfaction is important to us, and we appreciate your feedback. Please reach out to us directly if you need further assistance; our customer care team is happy to help you! -Ronald Behr

Great for an Unfinished basement floor
We were tired of the dust from the basement floor in our new build. It 100% stopped it and it looks fantastic. Highly recommend.

        Amazing!
We used Behr Premium (Deep base- tinted black) Porch and Patio floor paint on our deck. The paint went on smoothly and had great coverage. It dried super fast. We ended up using 2 coats. I definitely recommend this product!

          Total disaster
Peeled and started flaking. After cleaning and preparing the surface as per instructions on paint can paint was applied per directions. Five months later this is what it looks like. Now I have to sand, scrape and other wise prepare for a new paint job. What started out as a easy paint job will now take days of labor to correct what this defective paint caused.

Hi John - Thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear about the peeling and flaking on your project! To ensure a long-lasting finish, I recommend removing the loose paint, cleaning the surface with our wood cleaner, allowing the area to completely dry, then applying 1-2 new coats at the recommended spread rate. Please feel free to reach out to us directly so we can assist you with this further. We look forward to helping you get your project back on track. - Sara Behr

            Its not Slate Gray
There is nothing about this color that is slate gray. It is off white at best. Also, please dont be fooled by the name “paint” as this product is absolutly see through. It would take a dozen coats to color the wood grain. I feel as though i was mislead. How can this be gray? Waste. Of. Money

Hi Pete - Thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear that the paint color looks off white and isn't covering the wood grain! Our Anti-Slip Porch & Patio Floor Paint should dry to a completely opaque finish and will typically cover in 2 coats (certain colors may require additional coats), and I'm concerned that the paint you used looks see-through. We'd like to learn more about your project and assist you with this further. Please feel free to reach out to us directly. We look forward to hearing from you! - Sara Behr

Terrible paint. Do not buy this.
Painted uncovered stairs and covered porch in summer 2020. Did not last through this winter. Anywhere water dripped or pooled the paint bubbled and cracked. Scuffed off on stair treads. Live in interior of B.C. No unusual weather to wear this paint off. Bought 5 cans, two coats. Never again. Waste of money. Behr should be ashamed to sell this product. I like Home Depot and this is the first time I’ve bought a poor product from them.

              Hi Unhappytoiletinstaller,

Thank you for reviewing Behr Porch & Patio Floor Paint. I'm very sorry to hear about the longevity issues experienced, as it's not what we want our customers to go through.

The loose paint edges can be sanded down with medium grit (80-120) sandpaper to a smooth finish. If the paint is peeling down to a previous coating, you can clean, sand, and touch up with more paint. Etching with something like muriatic acid is recommended if the paint is peeling down to bare concrete.

Customer satisfaction is very important to us, and I encourage you to contact Behr directly for further assistance. We'd love to learn more about your project and find the best way to help.

                Very easy to use!
This was my first time using this product. I used it on my basement floor and threw some decorative paint chips on it. Excellent product and application was simple.

Hi ChrisC - Thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear that this color looks blue. I recommend making sure the color was mixed correctly by comparing the paper swatch for Slate Gray PFC-63 to the dried paint dab on the lid of your can. If they match, the color is correct, and you may want to choose a new color to recoat your project with. If they don't match, the color may have been mixed incorrectly, and we would recommend continuing your project with the right color. So we can assist you with this further, please feel free to reach out to us directly. We hope to hear from you! – Sara Behr

                    Slate Blue not Gray
Does this picture look like the color on the can matches the colors of the stone beneath it? No it does not. My wife meticulously painted our porch cobblestones for 4 hours to then look at a finished product that is below expectations but more importantly, not what Behr is advertising/showing. Test an area before you complete your whole project...

Do not use on porch that is used regularly!
Prep floor accordingly to directions and coated twice. Waited 48 hrs before use and the floor peeled in places where table legs, chairs and anything that rested on it. Stick to epoxy, not worth the price for Behr product!

                      Hi JC,

Thank you for writing in. I'm sorry to hear about the peeling issue experienced with Porch & Patio Anti-Slip Floor Paint. It certainly isn't what we want our customers to go through.

To fix the peeling issue, I recommend sanding down the peeled areas to a smooth finish before cleaning and touching up. This coating requires a 72-hour dry time before going back to normal use and moving furniture back on the surface.

I understand this situation must be disappointing and encourage you to contact Behr's Customer Care Department for further assistance. We'd love to help.

                      Kindest regards,

                        Outstanding Results
I have used this in the garages/shops in every home I've lived. Used with the Behr Cement Bonding. Both go on quickly and easily. After the Bonding primer, I use two coats, in different directions, of the Porch and Patio paint in gloss. It does dry to the touch in 2hrs, but wait the 72 hrs min before putting anything back. I don't park my lawn tractor, 4wheeler or vehicles for at least 6 days to a week depending on the temp/humidity. Try not to turn any wheels for a couple of weeks. Do this and you shouldn't have any problems. My shop floor has taken a beating and still looks and holds up very well. There are scratches, but nothing that has gone through the paint. It might be slightly slippery right away when wet, but that goes away even with the gloss which is what I have always used. Cleans up easily and isn't affected by oils, snow, salt, etc. This turns into a very touch and durable surface.

This is my second time using this floor paint. I used it on pressure treated plywood of a chicken coop to give extra protection and make for easier cleaning. It mixed well and without much effort and applied nicely. I applied a second coat after 3 hours and it was dried nicely by the end of the day. I have found that behr paints offer excellent coverage, durable finishes and great value. I will continue to use them and recommend giving them a try.

                          Easy Patio Upgrade
Live in the humid hot south, but love the outdoor carpets and patio look. Have had a few outdoor rugs, and though they hold up, the mud from our dogs and other spills cause the rug to discolor and get mold over time. With regular cleaning it isn’t bad, but we decided to paint for the ease. Our concrete patio absorbs everything and discolors as well. We cleared everything, etched the patio, Sealed up any cracks or imperfections, rolled on clear coat primer, and then painted. One coat was enough for the look, but we could have gone over it again. It makes a HUGE difference. The patio feels cool and the dog messes are an easy clean up, now. Watered my plants and nothing penetrated.

I stained this deck August last year.
Railings are fine but the deck surface is horrible. All the “stain” has peeled away or flaking off.

                              Stands up to the elements
This product was used to paint a new shed ramp. It has been nearly one year and the coating has held up extremely well with New England weather. Additionally, this ramp almost daily sees much foot / wheel traffic and was able to handle that with out braking down.

The paint line is ok as long as it doesn’t get water near it. I prepped the concrete as the instructions stated, etched the patio as well and dead center of the front door, the paint blistered. Took 4 gallons to paint wished I wouldn’t have wasted time and money.

Absolutely love this color and the product was extremely easy to apply and so far is wearing well. I used two coats of waterbased Kilz prior to this Behr porch and floor paint. We painted this on interior stairs with 3 kids and two dogs the stairs are getting daily use and this paint looks really great. So much better than carpet!!!
