[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently used Behr deck stain on our near the ocean home and it has held up tremendously. We are planning to use behr house paint again come spring on the rest of the house.

This paint has stayed soft to the touch for far too long. I would not recommend it.

Hello, thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear that the paint stayed soft for some time. Although darker colors can take longer to cure and dry, it is not normal for the coating to stay soft too long. The paint will fully cure in about 30 days, however, lower temperatures and higher humidity can also slow down the dry time. We appreciate your feedback, and if you need further assistance, please reach out to us directly. Our Customer Care team is happy to help! -Giovanna Behr

Toxic fumes like tear gas strong...
I bought this paint thinking the price meant high quality...I used it to paint my camper and being mid-winter in Wisconsin it was inside. This paint doesn't cover in 1 coat or 2 coats but 3 almost concealed the woodgrain, my problem is the fumes it puts out...it reminded me of our gas mask training in the Marines, nose gushing and eyes burning red. A little warning would have been appreciated being the store is an hour plus away....

Hi Zultz, thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear about the odor and coverage issue you experienced when using our Exterior Marquee Semi-Gloss Paint. Being a high-sheen paint, this may have a slightly more noticeable, pungent odor than compared to lower sheen paints. This paint is also recommended on exterior surfaces only. To help air out any lingering smell, we recommend increasing the ventilation in this room. Fans can be used in the doorways and windows facing outward. Also, the Marquee Paint is designed to cover in one coat when tinted to a one-coat color and applied over a previously painted surface. As it turns out, Extreme Yellow P260-7 is not a one-coat color and requires a tinted primer before painting. Nonetheless, your satisfaction is important to us, and we appreciate your feedback. Please reach out to us directly if you need further assistance. Our customer care team is happy to help you! - Randy Behr

I bought this to paint a new fiberglass exterior door on the side of the garage. The weather was in the 40's and blustery. I had planned to take the door down and paint it horizontal, but could not get the hinge pins out, so I had to paint it vertical. The paint was great! It was thick enough that it did not drip at all. I applied it with a brush and rolled it smooth. It dried quickly enough that I was able to get two coats on and the hardware reinstalled before the sun set. I bought the door from Home Depot and had them install it. Don't believe them when they tell you that the installation will be more expensive if you have the door delivered ahead of time so you can paint it before it is installed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this paint for signage and other artworks. I have painted gyms and utilized this awesome product on ball walls where people throw 5-40lb weighted balls at these painted surfaces, The paint holds up. I trust Behr Marquee for all of my interior and exterior projects.

Great workability time but dries hard quickly
I tried Sherwin-Williams door paint. It was expensive and dried so quickly that it was nearly impossible to keep a wet edge. BEHR nailed the chemistry for this paint. It coats well, keeps a wet edge and dries hard enough to flip a door midday on a sawhorse without sticking on the microfiber towels I use as sawhorse buffers. Expensive, but worth it. I got 3 coats each side of the door in one day. The door looks fantastic.

Really goes goes on nice with either a roller or a brush. Don’t really like the pour nozzle; leaves too much of a mess on the top of the can (or plastic container). However, I still give it a 5 because the paint is really easy to put on and covers well.

Painted bright white over a very dark green on fascia on my home. My painter was very satisfied with the coverage and I’m thrilled with the new white color.

Hi there, thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear that the paint was hard to work with and dried too quickly. I can understand your frustration with the time and expense that goes into painting shutters. Customer satisfaction is very important, and our Customer Care team is on standby and ready to help. Please contact us directly so we can further assist you with a resolution. One tip I'd like to share when the paint is drying too fast, you can add up to 4 ounces of water to a gallon of paint, and it will give you more working time. Again, our Customer Care team would like to hear from you to see how we can help. -Ronald Behr
