I bought this brand and type because I was told it was the best by the Home Depot crew. I knew with red, that I would have to apply two coats. I am on my third and it appears it is going to need at least two or three more coats. Thank goodness it is only a front door and that I bought a full gallon. I am probably going to need it. Not impressed at all.

Great paint. I love the way it brushes and rolls on. Color has depth. Will cover in one coat if painting over like colors. Would take 2 coats to obtain true match to chip if painting dark color over white primer.

    Great Paint
This turned out to be great paint. I used this on a decorative lattice feature in my backyard. I applied it directly to some fairly weathered pressure treated yellow pine posts and trim with cedar lattice work. It really covered in a single coat, even this thirsty old wood. I applied it with both a brush and an airless paint sprayer and it worked like a champ for both. The color is about a match to raw cedar. Cleanup was standard soap and warm water and was easy. There are 2 other aspects to this; mail order paint and storage. They shipped this in heavy cardboard boxes, taped up in heavy duty plastic bags with steel spring clips to keep the can closed. I have had this paint stored in a shed for over a year after the original project I got it for fell through the cracks. When I opened the can, the paint was still well mixed and the pigments strong. I gave it a couple of stirs with a wood stick and it was like freshly bought paint. It took most of a gallon to do this project, I think it would have been less if I hadn't used the airless sprayer. I really recommend this paint and I like this color.

    Excellent Coverage
Behr Marquee Semigloss is a great paint. It has a low odor which is not that noticeable when painting outdoors. It cleans up easily, with water when wet. The first picture shows one coat of Behr Marquee jet white semigloss over primed and unprimed cedar siding. The top plank is painted over unprimed, rough cedar and the planks beneath have been primed. The coverage is excellent on both. The second picture is the same paint over primed cedar siding. It is beautiful and maintains a soft glow. The jet white is also a beautiful, creamy color. It makes the old house look bright and new!

Great on vertical but don't use on horizontal surfaces
I tried this product last summer on my house in NY. The doors and columns held up well but all of the rails and sills orange peeled and cracked after the snow load this winter and peeled all the previous coats of Premium Plus Ultra under it the way down to the wood. I'll stick to the PremiumPlus ultra, Never a problem with peeling like this and have been using it for years. More expensive isn't always better Scraped all the Marquis off and covered with 2 coats of Behr Premium Plus Ultra and it looks great again, What a lot of work.

    Disappointed
Let me say first off--I did not want to paint my house twice. I researched all the best paints and decided on Behr Marquee. It was supposed to be one of the best and contained primer so I wouldn't have to paint twice. I DID NOT WANT TO PAINT MY HOUSE TWICE. I wanted an excellent paint that would cover in one application. I bought the best brushes and rollers and extra paint because I do have a stucco home and knew that it would require more paint than the instructions said. The house was a very light tan and I was painting it a creamy yellow. It did not cover at all. I actually had to paint three times to get complete coverage. I have a small home (1500 sq. ft) and the front alone took 6 gallons. 6 gallons was supposed to do the whole house. I'm really disappointed. I've only finished the front and will buy another paint to do the rest.

    very pleased
I didn't have any trouble with coverage. I bought four gallons and only used two and half to do the whole top portion of my home. I went from a light color to a dark color. Didn't give five stars because I can't rate on fading or dirt resistance since it's only been a few days. Time will tell but right now I am very pleased with this product and would recommend this to anyone that plans to paint their home.

Amazing resistance to blowing sand and direct sunlight!
I had to wait to write this review. The paint went on smooth and gave great results for shine and coverage. After 6 months of blistering sun and blowing sand from our harsh Southwestern drought, I was surprised to find the side door to my garage the same color and shine it had immediately after painting! This door receives direct sunlight all afternoon, and every afternoon, month after month. Behr has a great product that’s easy to clean and really does resist the direct sun of the Mojave Desert!.

      Amazing Product!
We wanted a rich creamy gray toned color to go with the rest of our home. Moon Rock is a beautiful earth toned gray. We also used Marquee's Mexican Silver, Madison Ave and Rich Pewter.

      Best Paint Ever!
Marquee is creamy and thick but the coverage goes a long way. Mexican Silver is a beautiful light gray. We wanted a light color to make our home bright since we went with darker shades of gray on other parts of the home. Other Marquees colors we used on our home were: Madison Ave (Black) & Rich Pewter (Darker Gray)

      quality product gives quality results
I hate to paint! I have done a lot of painting with paints of different types and qualities. I ordered this paint to redo the trim on our house. It is the wrong color. However, my husband's bathroom was in dire need of a facelift especially the shelves and trims. He is a mechanic so when I read that Behr Marquee creates a tough non-stick surface that resists dirt..I was eager to give it a try. I am so glad I did!! First thing I noticed was how rich and creamy the paint is. Get this....it is a paint AND primer! It covered smoothly and beautifully! Dries in a short amount of time and has no noticeable odor. Clean up was fairly easy...just soap and water. I love the results! Grease and dirt splatters wipe right off leaving it's rich vibrant color intact. I don't think I violated any “painting code” by using an exterior paint in a bathroom. I would definitely buy Behr Marquee again. Even though I hate to paint, I discovered that if you use a quality product, you get a quality result which makes it almost fun!!

      This paint is great!
This paint was easy to use, it spreads easily for trimming around doors and baseboards. It rolls really well, even coverage with just one coat. Even though it is exterior, I used it indoors, as it matched perfectly with older paint I had applied on adjacent walls.

Behr Marquee Terrazzo Brown Exterior Paint #QE-22
Love, Love, Love this new Behr Marquee exterior paint. The paint swatch is a perfect rendition of the actual coloring from the paint can and it's exactly the look I was going after. Terrazzo Brown #QE-22 is a bit darker than khaki, yet lighter than beige. Because my house faces southwest, I chose the advanced color protection formula because its the most resistant to fading. The paint dries quickly, which allowed me to finish the entire job very quickly. I've received many compliments on my house's new "facelift" and proud to acknowledge I did it all by myself, another did-it-herselfer.

      paint+primer
Excellant coverage.Used on aged raw weathered wood shed and covered with one coat. Goes on smoothly with either brush or roller. Cuts down time with primer already in the paint.

High Quality Paint, Covers Very Well
I need to paint my doors and decided on a dark green color. After doing some research, I found the new Behr Marquee line of exterior paints are among the best available, so I ordered the New Forest Semi-Gloss Exterior Enamel. After painting several doors, I am very pleased with the results. The Marquee Semi-Gloss Enamel is thick paint, but goes on smooth and covers very well. After surface preparation, I applied two coats using a foam brush. I was quite surprised how well the dark green color covered the white fiberglass door without using a primer. The Marquee Paints are very fast drying, which speeds up the multi-coat painting process. I am very pleased with the Behr Marquee Semi-Gloss Enamel Exterior Paint and highly recommend it.

      Child proof
Our `grown up` kids have always been a problem in keeping the sides of the stairwell scratch free. First, toys banging on the walls followed by all sorts of `junk` teenagers can't live without. Following advise from HD, we tried the Behr exterior paint. Our house was built in 1890 and has retained much of its original structure, so we were somewhat concerned about what product of paint to use. The color of the paint matched perfectly with what was advertised and was pleased with the finish. The paint was easy to apply and is economical, even with the two coats. Five years ago we used the Behr exterior to paint the outside siding of the old two story house and it still looks like a new paint job. Same with the old wooden garage we have and even the wooden fence. Perfect. As for the sides of the stairwell. So far so good. No scratches and yes the kids still live with us.

BEHR MARQUEE 1-gal. #QE-06 Reddest Red Semi-Gloss Enamel Exterior Paint
I have an old wooden rocker on my back ramp/porch that has been through numerous storms and winds and was in desperate need of re-painting. I chose this paint as it is for the exterior and said it could be used on various surfaces. The rocker was painted white and it took two coats of the paint to completely cover it. When I first opened the can I thought the color was hot pink as that is what it looked like. I was doubtful it would become the reddest red that the can stated. It did turn a deep red and guaranteed I am the only person around with a deep red rocker, wooden side table and patio table.

      Excellent coverage and penetration
I used this paint to color my wood ceiling in my garage. I sprayed the product with a paint sprayer and even with a small amount of latex additive it had excellent coverage. The wood was very dry but still managed to cover well. There is a claim that the paint is rain resistant after 60 minutes and at the 60 minute mark I sprayed with the hose and did not see any paint run off or any difference in color or sheen afterwards.

      Excellent coverage and durability
I used this paint to protect the inside of my cinder block wall garage. I used a 3/4 inch roller for application. It went on very easily and penetrated the porous surface easily with just one coat. There is a claim that it is rain resistant after 60 minutes and after 60 minutes I sprayed with a hose and did not see any paint wash away or changes in color afterwards. Very nice finish and very low odor when applying. Coverage was above average for a 1 gallon can of paint.

      Exterior Jet White Paint
I bought this paint to repaint my lighthouse given to me by my children 10 years ago. It was showing signs of weather and age. After two coats of primer, I painted my lighthouse and was pleasantly surprised. It covered well and filled in small cracks along the trim. Looks as good as when I received it

Semi Gloss is thin, runny, Gloss is low shine & nice.
I opened this next to a can of Jet White Satin. I immediately wondered why it was so runny compared to the Satin but I haven't used Semi-Gloss very often. I was scared off the Semi Gloss because of negative opinions, from online articles to paint sellers, about using it on the outside of a house here. The wood trim absorbed this quickly. I don't see a high gloss. I would'nt use it on stucco, I like a thicker coverage. It looks easier to clean, I like the slight sheen. I recommend it for wood trim outside and patio wood panels. Also, it's nice on the metal window trim.

This product is not worth the cost
This paint has very poor coverage for the price. Over clean new wood it took 3 coats to achieve uniform color. We are very experienced painters and have used all types of paint and we found this paint to be the least desirable of anything that we have used previously. Don't know how it applies with rollers but it brushes poorly.
