I have a 90 year old house. I have painted each room more than once. I can honestly say from experience that Behr Marquee paint is the best for walls. The attached pictures are before and after putting only one coat of light color paint over the dark. Coverage was perfect. Excellent quality. Easy to clean.

color clear aqua is good but needs 2 coats even on white
The color comes out little darker than it shows on paper but nonethe less it looks beautiful, especially in daylight lights. My picture will give you an idea. With soft white lighting it might look little darker

I bought this paint for an exterior door. I was painting a fresh coat of paint over old red paint. The door was cleaned and lightly sanded, and although this paint promises one coat application it was not true. In other words. It's not worth the price.

As promised a one coat and done job. Used the Marquee exterior dark storm cloud in a satin finish. Covered a red exterior in one coat... drastic reduction in time and effort. The trim color not shown in the picture yet is a cottage white also covering in one coat over an off red.

I used the paint to spray paint 16 vinyl outdoor shutters. I was able to thin the paint a little with water to a consistence for an HVLP sprayer and it went on smooth and dried perfectly. The coverage was great. I would recommend it.

I have used the Marquee brand once before on interior walls using a matte finish and liked it. However, this time I needed a deep red exterior satin enamel for our front door and surrounding framed glass. The previous paint was a gloss bright blue, so I lightly sanded the blue finish, as recommended and applied the first coat of Marquee. The results of the first coat were streaky, with the original blue still slightly showing through. I figured a second coat would fix the problem - but I was WRONG! I went back to Home Depot with photos of the problem and asked for a gallon of Behr Premium Plus Ultra, which I have used before with great results. But while it did cover better, I still had to put a third coat on the door and surrounding surfaces to finally get the non-streaky result I needed. I was not happy. It appears to me that the red colorant (in both paints) was more of a dye and less of a pigment that would cover previous paint. I know Marquee advertises that it will cover SOME (read the fine print), but the result was AWFUL and the Premium Plus Ultra wasn't much better. I figure they need to go back to the drawing board for DEEP RED paints. The moral of the story is to be careful of the color you - or your wife or significant other wants to use with these paints.

Behr Marquee Grass Satin Enamel Exterior Paint
Behr paint is good, but I wanted to make sure I had a paint that would really hold up to the weather. The clerk recommended Behr Marquee. I never knew they had this brand.. It was a little more expensive but I decided to try it. Well worth the extra money. Behr Marquee is fast drying , smooth, high quality, with amazing coverage. I have a background of painting because I own duplexes . By far this is the best paint I have ever used. Would definitely buy this paint again. .

      Paint
I bought the top of the line paint with the promise of it covering in one coat. When I opened the brand new can, it had a big clump in it that appeared to be dried paint. I think I got old base paint. It was like it had dried but it was only a week since I had purchased it. I couldn't make the 80 mile trip back to the store so I had to use it. It did cover pretty well. I only had a limited number of places where I needed to recoat.

We regret to hear of the negative experience you have had with our product and we would like to help. In reading your review, it sounds like you didn't get one-coat coverage in a couple places, and there was a big clump of dried paint in the can. As the manufacturer, this is not something we want our customers to experience with our product. Our Marquee Exterior paint line doesn't guarantee the same one-coat coverage as our Interior line, however it still offers some great benefits. We are concerned about the big chunk of dried paint that was in the paint can though. This isn't the kind of quality we expect from any of our products. A customer care representative has reached out to you directly to assist. Behr

      Looks Beautiful On My House!
I hired painters for the first time and asked them to use Behr Marquee paints that I chose for the exterior of my house. They used Taupe Tease for the main color and I absolutely love it!

      Does not fade!!
I started painting the front of my house in July of 2014. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to stop painting just half-way up. I was not able to commence painting until July of 2015. One year later, using the same gallon of paint, I went up on scaffolding to continue the work. My house faces south and after an entire year of having harsh Indiana sunlight beating onto this rather rich bright paint, I fully anticipated there to be a notable difference in coloration. There isn't. Any. None. Zip. Zero. You cannot tell from one board to another where the 2014 work ended and the 2015 work began. We (my grateful neighbors and I) are astounded. I am under 5'4" and over 50 years old - I am buying single gallons to complete the work as I am not about to contend with a 5 gallon bucket. I am very happy to report that the second gallon, used to finish the remaining section of the front of the house also perfectly matches the previous paint color. My house is almost 100 years old and has original cedar siding.

We used this in our kitchen and it came out great!
This is excellent paint! It not only covers well, but it flows well too. Amazing paint! For this job, we used a sash brush and foam roller. We sanded the old oil based paint on the cabinets - we wet sanded to keep the lead based paint from kicking up dust. We took a chance and painted right over the old paint, without using a primer. Since it was very old oil based paint, we felt that the oils were no longer coming out of the paint and we could use a water based paint. The first coat went on well. We laid a thin coat and it his mostly everything. We decided to hit it with a second coat about 4 hours later and it again took well and flowed so nicely. That we over two years ago and the kitchen still looks great. I've included some photos. I will gladly pay a premium price for this paint - it's worth every cent! This is our new go-to paint!

Best paint to apply with paint spray gun
I bought this paint last spring to try to spray paint 0n my home aluminum sidings and turned out to be excellent and very satisfied with it. this year I decided to use this paint to do my entire house aluminum sidings and masonry walls. Of course you have to do power washing first to the aluminum sidings and masonry walls to remove loose and dirt paint first before applying this excellent Behr Marquee paint. I also used Behr all purpose exterior prime model 43605, an excellent primer and thinned it with Floetex for smooth spraying.

      Superior Paint, Beautiful Color
Behr Marquee paint is my choice of premium exterior paint. It is easy to work with, it dries quickly and looks fantastic. Antiqued Aqua is a very nice color. I painted my front door to contrast my house, I couldn't be happier. The color looks a little more green in direct sunlight and slightly blue in the shadows. I love it! The color is fresh, clean and modern with a classic feel. A few days after I painted the door, my two year old spilled fruit juice on it. I am happy to say, the juice wiped off and the door still looks great.

      Great coverage
Finally got to try this paint. We have had cold and rain--not painting weather. We have a wooden shed--pre 1985 that has never been painted. We used the red for the peaks, trim and door. Went on with ease and covered excellently with one coat.

      FANTASTIC PAINT - LOVE IT!!
What a pleasure it was to paint with this Behr Marquee Satin Enamel Exterior paint! After trying this paint in the Napa Wine color, I find that the result is a darker shade on wood than on the metal and rock materials, but they are very close. My photos show the results on an old wood birdhouse, a metal birdfeeder, and a few rocks in my rock garden. (I used the Napa Wine along with the Salt Crystal color for these projects.) It was easy to work with, spreads great, and dries quickly. It is not too thick or too thin, it is just right! I painted the wine color first, and by the time I switched colors, the wine parts were dry enough so that if I splattered some white on it, all I had to do is use a damp rag and wipe it off. It adheres to the surface very well (in fact, I was using a glass container and after it dried on the edges, I had a difficult time removing it). There is a slight ammonia type odor, but it is not strong while outdoors. The birdhouse is very old, has multiple cracks and crevices - but this Marquee paint did a fantastic job of covering it. The surface will never be as smooth as when it was new, but the result is amazing. The birdfeeder was in bad shape, I was going to replace it, but now it looks great too. As for the rocks, I had fun painting them, and keep finding others that I am painting. When I was finished painting, we got over an inch of rain the next day - the paint held up great. After more than a week, they still look freshly painted and not covered in dust as most things are in our yard. My garage needs paint, and afer testing this paint, I am sure that this is what I will use. I really do not like the chore of painting, but find that I am looking forward to starting on the garage!

FINALLY, A PAINT THAT IS A PLEASURE TO WORK WITH!
I was very impressed with this Behr Marquee Satin Enamel Exterior paint! The Salt Crystal color is a very pleasing shade - a soft, creamy white. (I read where someone stated they received "ultra pure white" - that is what the front of the can states, as this is the base color that is used before tinting to the desired shade. The top of the can will show that it is indeed "salt crystal".) My photos show the results on an old wood birdhouse, a metal birdfeeder, and a few rocks in my rock garden. (I used the Napa Wine along with the Salt Crystal color for these projects.) It was easy to work with, spreads great, and dries quickly. I painted the wine color first, and by the time I switched colors, the wine parts were dry enough so that if I splattered some white on it, all I had to do is use a damp rag and wipe it off. Nice Color, Great Coverage
I've used several varieties of Behr paint in the past, but this was my first experience with the MARQUEE line, and I must say, I'm pretty impressed. I first used it to paint some newly constructed outdoor furniture. It provided excellent coverage on unpainted wood. I used this paint with the Wagner Flexio 590 & it only took one coat. It performed well with the Flexio - it's thick paint, but not thick enough to trouble that particular sprayer. I really like the satin finish - it gives it a nice polished look without being glossy. Noting Behr's claims of a stain-blocking feature, I set about testing that out a bit - I smeared dark mud from the flower bed on one panel & splashed some Frank's Red Hot sauce (hey, it was handy) on another panel. I let both of these sit until they were at least mostly dry. And guess what? Both wiped off without a trace. I wasn't particularly shocked that the mud easily wiped off, but I was surprised at there wasn't any trace of the hot sauce left. I realize that's not a complete panel of potential stains, but it was enough to get my attention. The chairs have been in the yard for 10 days and weathered a few downpours without issue - including one within 24 hours of being painted. Overall, this seems like a very high quality paint. If you're painting an area that is high traffic, stain prone and/or exposed to the elements, you're not going to regret going with MARQUEE.

      Paint with advanced technology.
This paint has several advantages that paints did not have before. I used to do the primer before, and wait for it to dry for a day or two to do the real paint job. This paint also includes the primer, so that step can be eliminated, which means it saves time and money. I just washed off of the cement board siding the day before painting with a garden hose. The weather was good and wind was calm. I did paint my back side of the house which is about 360 square feet (9’x40’) using a paint sprayer and a gallon of paint. It looks really great. I did a testing on the painted surface next day, after the paint was dry, to see if the claims of the manufacture were correct. I did throw some dirty water and mud on the painted surface. Next day, I sprayed off the dirt with a garden hose, and it was amazing; the dirt and mud came off clean, and the surface looked like I just painted it! It is really worth the money for this new technology paint, which is; dirt, stain, water, mildew and fade resistant. The best advantage of the paint that I like was the water resisting technology, which avoids the growth of mildew. I hope the pearl like appearance of the painted surface will stay as it is now, for long time to come.

Bright Sky blue, dries quickly in a humid, wet climate.
On Color, This is Bright Blue like the sky. Pictured is the unfinished test of a the Behr Paint combo Satin Jet White & Satin Atmosphere Bluel It's photographed against darker colors for contrast. One coat covered a formerly white house trim. I need to live with this unfinished test area a short time while deciding on a 3rd color for the trim, and deciding whether I prefer a blue house with white trim. On Application, small imperfections, cracks in the stucco, were covered by this thick, rich paint. I DIY home paint jobs, refreshing and renewing the house with a wide range of products. The quality and coverage of this Behr Satin appears better than most. The satin when applied with a brush covers well, but it doesn't cover as much area. I'll be using a paint roller & sprayer to paint the remainder of the house. The paint is drying quickly even with humid, wet weather. Although pricey, highly recommended for quality, with a wait in the future to find out if Marquee lives up to the Behr mildew resistance and low fade claims in this humid, sunny climate.

Excellent Paint and Dries Very Fast
This is my first experience with the new Behr Marquee line of paints, and I must say I’m very pleased with the results. I ordered the Pavillion Satin Enamel, which most closely matches my existing paint scheme. I then took the paint to the local Home Depot and they were able to get an exact match. The Marquee Satin Enamel is a quality paint that applies smooth and consistent in color. It’s also thick and resists dripping and streaks. The fast drying feature is very noticeable when using this paint. It’s best to apply several thin coats to avoid possible drips from one thick coat. With such a fast drying time, drips can harden very quickly and cause you extra work. Overall I am very pleased with the Behr Marquee Satin Enamel Paint and highly recommend it for any exterior painting.
