The delivery of 3 orders were in one or two days! The painter I hired said this was good stuff and it sure looks good. Two coats of the stain were professionally applied to very weathered (40 year old very porous cedar sheeting previously covered with semitransparent stain every 10 years or so) on the south side of the house. About 5 gallons provided 2 coats of coverage for about 200 square feet. He did put on pretty thick coats with a roller and brush. There is a slight unobjectionable smell after 5 days. I already bought a different color for a future project.

Definately thinner than regular paint and messier to brush & roll but I am very pleased how it seemed to be absorbed into the old dried out fence. The test will to see how well it holds out in coastal souhtern California.

This product is the replacement for the previous Behr House & deck white stain that I used for my deck railings. So far it looks to be an exact replacement for it as well. The finish went on very easily and matched the existing area that had the previous stain where I ran out.. Time will tell how well it will hold up to the elements, even though this deck is 30 years old the railing looks terrific.

Excellent product!
Purchased this slate colored solid Behr stain for our backyard fencing project and it is amazing. Stained our fence about 8 years ago in a natural color, but decided on the slate color this time & looks wonderful.
Definitely would recommend this product & will be using again in the future.
Have attached few pictures to show the color. Now just have to tackle the privacy screen @ the top.

Beautiful finish on my tiki fence.
I used this product over an ugly weathered red stain wood fence.I used two coats you cant see any of the old finish, its beautiful and all ready for summer get togethers. I used bleach in a pump sprayer and a garden hose for prep.

Excellent coverage when rolled or brushed! You will want to water it down a bit for a sprayer, but it went on evenly regardless.

Hi there, thank you for reviewing our House & Fence Stain. I’m sorry to hear that you had an issue with the stain blistering and peeling. To fix the issue I recommend removing the loose stain by scraping, sanding, or power washing at a low level. Then clean the surface with the All-In-One Wood Cleaner and let it dry, then apply 2 coats of stain per the label directions. Also, it looks like some of the areas may be on a deck where it can be walked on. For decks and other areas that receive foot traffic, we don’t recommend using our House and Fence Stain; a better choice is our Solid-Color Waterproofing Stain And Sealer. It is designed for horizontal surfaces that receive foot traffic. I’ve also reached out to you via email to learn more about your project and assist you with this further. Great characteristics

Great Coverage!!

Great for Log Cabin Homes- stands the test of time
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this product for 25 years now (have painted my NC log cabin twice now) and the paint has lasted about 12 years each time. It waterproofs, prevents mildew, and provides total UV protection. When I first bought the log kit back in 1998, it referred me to use Flood UV stain. That only lasted 2 years and the logs leaked badly by absorption. Took a chance with this Behr product and it worked perfectly and reliably. We also decided to use it on our Cypress fence in our Florida home- getting the same successful results and it withstands the UV and humidity just fine. Fence is now 20 years old and holding up fine. Just a reminder- this product is for sides of homes or fences. Do not use deck stains.

I run the projects for the company but was out of town due to holiday. I purchased item for our guys to pick up and do the job. They went in to do so as instructed. I came back to see that fence color was completely different y from what we ordered online. We will be having to redo the fence. I’ll surely be going in to speak with someone at the store. Mistakes happen but this color is not at all as it appears online and this was close to $700 worth of paint. Our guys picked it up so I can’t rate delivery. As for customer service, they messed up on the interior finish as well. They kept saying it was an eggshell on their system but the label clearly said flat and you could tell the difference. We just bought 3 new gallons for interior and need to go talk to them about returning the others.
